“Lacinda is AMAZING. She truly takes the time to not only get to know the pup but also us the owners. She goes above and beyond to ensure you have a very happy pup at the end of the visit. Would definitely recommend her to everyone I know and I will personally continue to book with her!! Thank you for being the best, Lacinda!!☺️”

“Jordan was excellent with my puppy for doggy daycare today. She sent updates throughout the day. He must’ve had a great time because he fell asleep in the car on the way home. She was very friendly. There were no issues or concerns. We would rebook her in the future.”

About: Hello, everyone! I am a former military, stay-at-home mom/wife, three- time cancer surviving, animal lover who lives in the Woodlands/Spring area. I LOVE dogs and cats of all sizes! Growing up, we always had at least one dog, and several cats, that were usually rescues - either formally adopted by us, or informally adopted by them. And since leaving home, I have never been "pet-less" longer than a few months. Currently, I am the mom of an amazing Border Collie rescue puppy, an adorable middle aged Dachshund, and a spunky young Parakeet. As for the human children in my house ...they are growing up so fast! My oldest is out of the house already, and the other two are in high school, so my days and most evenings and nights are OPEN! I would love nothing more than to spend my time loving on your pets. Whether you just need someone to check in on them, stay the night with them, feed them or play and go for walks, I'm your gal! So please don't hesitate to contact me! I can't wait to meet you and fur babies :) Thanks!
About: I have 10+ years in caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, and farm animals. Before I started my family, the animals I’ve cared for were treated as my own. I look forward to experiencing life with your furry friends. I currently work full time in management at a dog boarding / daycare facility. I specialize in dogs of all ages, temperament levels, and medical conditions. I have a full fenced back yard with a kiddie pool (weather permitting), water bowls, and my own three legged dog to keep your pup company.
“Emeshako was nothing less than a professional from the moment our Prince was dropped off to the moment he was picked back up! First time impression has us floored and excited to use Rover again (first time users) and bring our Prince back to Emeshako! Our family recently moved to the area, leaving us with little friends or faniliat neighbors to rely on for pet care BUT Emeshako was an angel sent! Thank you for your passion for pets and making our dog smile from picture to picture during his stay! I bet he can't wait to come back! We will be seeing you soon, Emeshako! Keep up the flawless business! -Crystal”

About: I started dog walking and pet sitting at 18 as a way to pay rent during COVID. Like anyone learning on the job, I made some mistakes in the beginning, but over the past 6 years, I’ve made a complete 180 — gaining valuable knowledge and refining my skills to care for animals the right way. Now at 24 and working toward becoming a veterinarian, this has grown from a job into a true passion. I combine experience, education, and genuine love for animals to provide the best care possible for your furry friends. My schedule varies weekly, so I update my calendar regularly to ensure you can easily book dog walking and sitting services whenever you need it. When walking dogs, I always bring a water dispenser and doggy bags, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. For dog boarding, your dog will feel right at home! Dogs are welcome on the furniture unless you prefer otherwise, following your training guidelines. I provide potty breaks every 2–4 hours and extra walks for energetic pups to burn off energy. Bedtime is at 8 PM, with the last walk of the day to help your dog settle in comfortably.

About: We have many years of experience taking care of fur babies, including those with special needs! We will walk, feed, and care of them as if they were part of our family. As I am retired and my oldest child has completed high school, there is ALWAYS someone here to take care of your furriest family members that stay with us. My daughter is interested in veterinary medicine, and is starting classes for that soon, so you'll have the best care we can provide! We live in a nice family neighborhood, with one dog of our own. She keeps to herself usually, but can be very friendly when engaged. There is a dog park nearby that we can take your fur baby to for exercise and fun.

“Heather was great and super accommodating when we decided we wanted to board our little guy! Accepted super fast last minute booking and took really good care of my angel! 10/10!”

“Wendy took such great care of Keeper! She kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that Keeper was well cared for and happy during his stay. Thank you so much for treating him like family. We will definitely be booking with you again in the future! 🐾”

About: My grandfather loved animals and always had dogs and cats. I grew up around pets and learned that they are part of the family. I have two cats of my own so I know how much love and care pets need. I just want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I currently have a flexible schedule which allows me to give your pet plenty of attention throughout the day. Your pet will receive lots of supervision, affection and care while in my home. I just ask that owners provide their pet’s food and anything else they normally use or need during their stay. I keep them comfortable in my home and I send daily updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing during their stay here with me.
“This was our first time visiting Ashley & her sweet family - they were amazing! My pup, Buster, felt right at home. He went right in, investigated, and off her went! Ashely sent several pictures throughout his time with her. I felt at ease, and didn't worry once while Buster was with Ashley because he was so at ease when I dropped him off. Will definitely be visiting again.”

“Selma watched our puppy, Charli, for both puppy day care and boarding. She is fantastic! Charli was always excited to go to Selma's! Selma is very flexible, and allowed us to drop Charli off early since we go to work very early. During Charli's stay with Selma she always kept us informed of how she was doing and sent us pictures and videos everyday. I could tell, right off the bat, that she truly loves dogs and it showed in her care of Charli. Thanks, Selma! We will definitely bring Charli back the next time!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and grew up around large, high-energy breeds. Today I have two of my own, a German Shorthaired Pointer and a Hungarian Vizsla, so I’m very comfortable with active dogs that need plenty of exercise, attention, and structure. My home has a secure fenced yard where dogs can safely play and relax. If your dog enjoys being active and gets along well with others, they’re welcome to join us on our daily walks and trips to the park. If they prefer a slower pace, I’m just as happy to match their routine. Every dog is different, and I try to make them feel as comfortable as possible while they’re with me. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, so I’ll care for them the same way I care for my own. I’ll follow your routine, give them plenty of attention, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how they’re doing. I work from home most days, and those are the days I’m available for boarding. Because I’m home throughout the day, your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will get plenty of attention, bathroom breaks, and playtime. If they’re up for it, they’ll join my two dogs on walks and park visits. I’ll also follow your dog’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and at home while you’re away. Your dog’s safety and happiness will always come first. I have a secure, fully fenced yard and a clean, dog-friendly home where pets are treated like family. I have two friendly, well-socialized dogs who enjoy meeting new friends, but I’m also happy to keep dogs separated if that’s what makes everyone most comfortable. I’ll follow your feeding schedule, medication instructions, and any special requests to make sure your dog feels right at home. You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and having a great time.
“Katherine was absolutely great in every aspect. She sent updates throughout the day with pictures, took our boy to play outside multiple times, and was willing to work with us on our weird schedule. We will definitely continue to use Katherine in the future!”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
