“Elizabeth was fantastic! She followed all instructions and communicated well while we were gone. Highly recommend her services!! Our Bo said he had a great time while she was there!”

“Emma did an outstanding job house sitting for our cat Ziggy for 3 nights. Emma is responsible, very sweet, communicative, sent lots of updates & photos - she’s a real “cat whisperer!” Our cat was clearly comfortable with her & even slept in the bed with her! She took great care of our house & left it in better shape than when we left! She provided real peace of mind & we look forward to working with Emma in the future.”

“Meg is fantastic, our animals love her. She sends great update photos and get consistent updates on how everyone was when she drops in. I’d be happy to rebook her anytime we needed someone to watch our pets.”

“This was our first experience with Rover. Our senior boy Hobbes is pretty easy but does need attention. Abby was wonderful!! Our home was in great shape and Hobbes was happy. Thank you Abby!!!”
About: I started dog walking and pet sitting at 18 as a way to pay rent during COVID. Like anyone learning on the job, I made some mistakes in the beginning, but over the past 6 years, I’ve made a complete 180 — gaining valuable knowledge and refining my skills to care for animals the right way. Now at 24 and working toward becoming a veterinarian, this has grown from a job into a true passion. I combine experience, education, and genuine love for animals to provide the best care possible for your furry friends. My schedule varies weekly, so I update my calendar regularly to ensure you can easily book dog walking and sitting services whenever you need it. When walking dogs, I always bring a water dispenser and doggy bags, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. For dog boarding, your dog will feel right at home! Dogs are welcome on the furniture unless you prefer otherwise, following your training guidelines. I provide potty breaks every 2–4 hours and extra walks for energetic pups to burn off energy. Bedtime is at 8 PM, with the last walk of the day to help your dog settle in comfortably.

“Professional, reliable, and clearly loves dogs- even nervous little Yorkies who bark a lot :) I returned from vacation to find my house cleaner than I left it. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve grown up with three German Shorthaired pointers! One of them is now 12 years old and needs a little more attention, but he’s still as healthy as can be and the sweetest pup ever! I work another part time job, however will devote all of my time outside of that to caring for any and every pet in my custody. I always feed my dogs on time and refill their water bowl after every use because those can get dirty fast! Lots of pets and plenty of attention for every dog in my care! Also super willing to stay outside with any dog for as long as they want to ensure they’re safe and sound as they roam and do their thing!
“John was great very communicative, attentive, and punctual with Bella. This was my first experience using a sitter outside of my family, and I must say I was really happy to have found him. He made the entire process comfortable and stress-free, and I would absolutely recommend him as a sitter.”

About: I have 10+ years in caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, and farm animals. Before I started my family, the animals I’ve cared for were treated as my own. I look forward to experiencing life with your furry friends. I currently work full time in management at a dog boarding / daycare facility. I specialize in dogs of all ages, temperament levels, and medical conditions. I have a full fenced back yard with a kiddie pool (weather permitting), water bowls, and my own three legged dog to keep your pup company.

“Marie was great once again!! She has been trusted with our GP numerous occasions and always does a fantastic job, including dealing with our GP’s storm anxiety that would be too much to handle for some!! Always thankful for Marie!”

“This is my second time using Sherry. As soon as she got to my house all of my babies were so excited and happy to see her. They absolutely love her!! She obviously treats them very well and sounds like she spoils them. I highly recommend her”

“My Bandit loves Aiden! He is great with dogs and so dependable. After staying with my dog for 10 days, he left the house in perfect condition. I will use him often and highly recommend him.”

“After our regular pet sitter canceled on short notice I found Taylor through the app. She was extremely responsive and even offered to come meet the pets prior to watching them for the weekend. She took great care of our pets at our home, and communicated with us to let us know the pets were doing well while we were gone. I highly recommend her. We will be using Taylor again for sure.”

About: I am a former teacher currently leaving the education field and pursuing other career options. Because of this transition, I am available full time and my schedule is pretty flexible. I have been a fur parent all my life. I have experience caring for senior dogs (I have cared for 3 of my own). I am patient and attentive to detail. I believe in giving 100% in everything I do, so I love to ensure your pet is getting the proper love and care they deserve. This is my full time job so I am pretty flexible. With the proper advance notices, I can do drop-ins and walks in mornings and afternoons. I can do boardings on weekends and weekdays after 3pm. My animals are on a routine feeding schedule. They have many potty breaks and have play time in our fenced backyard. My senior dogs get any medication they need while enjoying relaxing time in my home.
“Terri was great with my dog Bunny who has a history of abuse and has anxiety especially new people. She really took the time to spend time with her and make her more comfortable.”
“Kristen is absolutely amazing!! I have tried several other pet sitters and none compare! She was the most attentive to my dog and his needs which is really important to me because I'm a dog mom. She provided many pictures and videos everyday and took the time to make me feel totally at ease and I could focus on my work trip. I would highly recommend them :)”

About: Living with four cats means I’m basically fluent in feline! From high speed kitten midnight crazies to grumpy senior side eye, I’ve seen it all. I’m an expert at reading cat moods, mastering the art of the perfect chin scratch, and making sure your kitty gets a safe, fun, and totally customized visit. I'm a stay at home dad with four kitties. They're all different age ranges, my 3 year old daughter included. It's both chaos and a lot of fun! I just looove pet cuddles so much. I love giving belly rubs (if they give their consent). I also just love playing with pets. If they have toys, i can definitely keep them entertained. I always love Tug of War with dogs :)
“Sophia is amazing! She took excellent care of our Johnny boy and of our home. She has a fun personality and is so kind. Johnny loved her instantly! I loved all the pictures and videos she sent while we were away. Even some on the Ring doorbell camera. 😂 We will absolutely be hiring her again!”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Willow is $45

Sophia was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure our Frankie had the best time. She was kind, proactive, and always attentive to Frankie’s needs, whether it was playtime, potty breaks, walks, or snuggles. She also kept us updated throughout the stay, which made us feel so comfortable, especially since it was the first time leaving our puppy with her. We could tell right away that Frankie had an amazing time with her, and we’re already looking forward to having her pet sit again!

Monica was amazing! On our initial visit, we knew she would be great for our two beagles as she was interactive and appeared to have an ability to connect with our dogs in a positive way. The housesitting experience was dynamic and interactive with numerous daily check-ins and pics of our happy dogs. The house appeared to be left in better shape than how we left it. She even left us a framed pic of our two dogs sitting obediently next to each other, when typically, they are going at each other. I highly recommend Monica and team, for any dog care you may need. Thanks - and we will be connecting with you soon for additional services.
Meredith was an outstanding pet sitter! She clearly loves animals and her calm and caring demeanor let us vacation worry free knowing our pets were in great hands. Super flexible too-when our sneaky young Basset escaped his makeshift kennel she communicated right away and we were able to figure out a solution no problem. Highly recommend!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Willow walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Willow maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Willow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
