“Rachael is amazing! We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter for our first trip since getting Ari (our anxious pup) and for our first time leaving Jingles (who is skittish) in a few years. Rachael was seriously amazing, though. Both Ari and Jinglest warmed up to her, which was such a relief! She sent us photos throughout the trip so we could see they were doing great, which honestly made the whole vacation so much more relaxing. Rachael truly has a gift with animals – she’s like a dog whisperer! When we got home, our house was in perfect shape, and everything was exactly where we left it. We’ll 100% be booking with her again. Highly recommend!”

“John was great very communicative, attentive, and punctual with Bella. This was my first experience using a sitter outside of my family, and I must say I was really happy to have found him. He made the entire process comfortable and stress-free, and I would absolutely recommend him as a sitter.”

“I appreciate Avery taking care of our two dogs while we were out of town. He did a great job of communicating with us throughout our time away. He sent us photos of the dogs and let us know they were fine. We will definitely reach out to Avery again!”

“Terri was great with my dog Bunny who has a history of abuse and has anxiety especially new people. She really took the time to spend time with her and make her more comfortable.”
“Emma was wonderful with our very large 10 month old puppy! She communicated with me each day and sent pics with her update. I felt so at ease on our first weekend away from our pup.”

“Deanna has house/dog sat for us a couple of times now. She keeps in contact with us and looks after the dogs well. We have 3 high energy dogs, looking after them is not easy but they are happy to hang out with her.”

About: I started dog walking and pet sitting at 18 as a way to pay rent during COVID. Like anyone learning on the job, I made some mistakes in the beginning, but over the past 6 years, I’ve made a complete 180 — gaining valuable knowledge and refining my skills to care for animals the right way. Now at 24 and working toward becoming a veterinarian, this has grown from a job into a true passion. I combine experience, education, and genuine love for animals to provide the best care possible for your furry friends. My schedule varies weekly, so I update my calendar regularly to ensure you can easily book dog walking and sitting services whenever you need it. When walking dogs, I always bring a water dispenser and doggy bags, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. For dog boarding, your dog will feel right at home! Dogs are welcome on the furniture unless you prefer otherwise, following your training guidelines. I provide potty breaks every 2–4 hours and extra walks for energetic pups to burn off energy. Bedtime is at 8 PM, with the last walk of the day to help your dog settle in comfortably.
“Charlie was wonderful with Gizmo! She took care of him like he was her own! We definitely would recommend her to any family that treats their furbabies like children. Her training expertise was a big plus since he is so active! We hated having to leave him to go on vacation but it seems like he had a little vacation of his own while we were gone with all of the pampering and love he received from Charlie!”

About: I am very patient and playful with all animals. Growing up with many dogs, cats, gerbels, mice, etc learned early how to care and protect our furry family members. As I am now retired from corporate america, I have lots of time to walk and take care of pets. We don’t have a pet currently as we travel so find this service and great way to interact with dogs and cats. Have learned signs and behaviors of pets to avoid conflict. Enjoy sharing my lap with our furry friends and go out of my way to ensure their comfort.
“Sandra was so great and took such wonderful care of our three big dogs and our home! She is so kind and caring, and our fur babies just loved her. She kept us updated with texts and pics during our week-long trip. We arrived back home to happy pups and a clean home! We couldn't have asked for more, and we look forward to having Sandra help us again in the future!”

“Katelyn is amazing. She stayed at my house with my two dogs for 5 days. She sent me updates and pictures throughout the stay, and left the house cleaner than she found it! Very responsible and a great help.”

“Elizabeth took such great care of our dogs while we were away. She was diligent about their feeding schedule and kept in touch with pictures and updates. I’ll definitely use her again!”

“Stacy took great care of my fur baby! She sent me daily updates and pictures of him, and made sure to spend so much time giving him attention. This was my first time leaving Bentley, and I felt so comfortable leaving him in such great hands! She even took him on extra walks, and I couldn’t be more grateful :)”

“Absolutely stellar service! Savannah took exceptional care of our pets and home while we were away. She was reliable, communicative, and went above and beyond to ensure our four babies were happy and comfortable. Our home was spotless upon return, and the daily updates with photos gave us such peace of mind. Highly recommend Savannah for her professionalism and genuine love for animals.”

“I left my puppy for the weekend for the first time so I was a bit nervous on how she’d do, but she did great! The sitter was good at updating and sending photos and making sure I knew Peppa was fine! She looked very happy in all the photos she sent :) I 10/10 recommend and I’ll 100% use her service in the future again”

“Thi and her husband were amazing! As someone who’s used a lot of dogsitters in the past (including friends) they are the best yet. When i got home i could tell my dog connected with her immensley! My dog greeted me but after she settled down, she wanted to be by Thi’a side! More importantly i got home to an amazing clean house! I think she left my house better than she found it. She was extremely prompt with my questions when I booked her. I highly recommend her!!”

“Katherine was amazing with our baby! She kept us up to date each day and sent us pictures and videos. Not only did tread Dubs like her own, she was also a thought guest in our home. Will def rebook!!”

Katherine did absolutely amazing looking after my fur babies for 9 days ! She took great care of my 18 year old dog and bossy cat. I received messages and pictures everyday of my babies, and the house was left in tiptop shape. Would definitely book her again.

Deanna is fantastic. We've used her twice already and had to reschedule once. She communicates well and the dogs love her. No issues with the dogs when we depart as they want to play more with her than us. She sends pictures throughout the day and evening. Highly recommend!

Kayla was absolutely incredible with Penelope and Parker! From the moment we connected, I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such caring and capable hands. She went above and beyond to make sure both dogs were comfortable, happy, and well cared for the entire time. Kayla kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which meant so much and gave me total peace of mind. It was clear that she genuinely cared about their routines, personalities, and little quirks—Penelope and Parker both looked so relaxed and content! I came home to two very happy pups and everything in perfect shape. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would 100% book with Kayla again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and kind sitter! Thank you again, Kayla! 🐾

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,594 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Klein. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Klein walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Klein maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Klein choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Klein. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
