⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Avery took great care of our two dogs, Bosa and Murphy, while we were away. He was very reliable and communicative, and we really appreciated the updates and photos he sent during our trip. It gave us peace of mind knowing our dogs were in good hands. We came home to two happy pups, a clean house and everything was great shape. We would definitely book Avery again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter! Thx Avery!

John was great very communicative, attentive, and punctual with Bella. This was my first experience using a sitter outside of my family, and I must say I was really happy to have found him. He made the entire process comfortable and stress-free, and I would absolutely recommend him as a sitter.

Abigail was absolutely amazing! My dogs loved her, and she kept me at ease the entire time with consistent updates, messages, and photos. She truly went above and beyond—not only taking great care of my dogs, but also leaving my home spotless. She washed the sheets and towels she used, cleaned up, and handled everything with so much care and attention to detail. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be booking with her again!

Natali was wonderful with our menagerie (2 German Shepards, a Goldendoodle and of course our sweet kitty who thinks he’s a dog 🤦🏻‍♀️😆). ! They all loved her from their first meeting, and it was comforting to me and them to have her come to our home and stay with them! I highly recommend Natali and look forward to using her again!

About: I've been taking care of dogs since 8th grade (8 years). I've worked with young adult and senior dogs. I am able to take care many task the owners left me to do. Currently, I am an online student at Oregon State University. With that I am able to have a very flexible schedule. I also work at a restaurant as a hostess. For dog sitting at clients homes, I'm usually fulfilling all expectations given by the pet owner. I am not scared of cleaning and picking up poop. I'm an avid walker, so I would enjoy walking your pet! I love all animals! And I'm very excited to meet y'all!

I left my puppy for the weekend for the first time so I was a bit nervous on how she’d do, but she did great! The sitter was good at updating and sending photos and making sure I knew Peppa was fine! She looked very happy in all the photos she sent :) I 10/10 recommend and I’ll 100% use her service in the future again

Stacy took great care of my fur baby! She sent me daily updates and pictures of him, and made sure to spend so much time giving him attention. This was my first time leaving Bentley, and I felt so comfortable leaving him in such great hands! She even took him on extra walks, and I couldn’t be more grateful :)

OMG, Bethany is amazing. First, she read the instructions and asked really good questions. Throughout her stay, she kept me up to date, spoiled my dog with double walks, and even gave Buddy a bath. Buddy was calm and content when I got home. I wish I could go another trip so Bethany could dog sit again.

About: Hi, I’m Crystal. A lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds! I started young as an Animal Care Assistant, volunteering at local pet stores where I learned everything from safe handling to daily feeding routines. Since then, I’ve traveled across states to pet-sit for family and friends, gaining experience with dogs, cats, and even small animals. I know how hard it can be to leave your pets behind, which is why I provide reliable, loving, and personalized care that feels just like home. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or extra cuddles, your furry friend will get my full attention (and plenty of love!). For daycare and boarding they will be staying in a standalone gated condo, with a spacious indoor layout and a private fenced patio area for safe outdoor time. I strive to create a calm, clean, and comfortable environment where pets can feel relaxed and cared for during their stay 😊 Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine! I start my mornings walking or checking in on pets before work and end the day with evening feedings, playtime, and cuddles. My flexible schedule allows me to provide consistent, reliable care throughout the week. I treat every pet like family and always prioritize their comfort and safety. I follow your care instructions closely, keep a clean and calm environment, and send regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. Whether at my home or yours, I maintain secure spaces, fresh water, and plenty of love and attention.

I have cared for pets professionally for over two years, and personally for sixteen years as that is how long I have had my own dogs. Sophie is a 16 year old Morkie, and Remington is a large mixed breed, so I am experienced with all sizes of dogs! I’d be happy to watch any dog or cat; size or age does not matter! I love all animals. I'm experienced in giving pets medicine, including eye medication. I also am more than willing to brush and/or bathe your pet. I’m a teacher on summer break, so I'm available most days all day! During the school year, my time will be limited to weekends. I hope to hear from you and your fur baby!

Carrie was amazing! Our Nova is a special case, she was badly abused in her life before us, and can come off as aggressive when it’s really just her reacting out of fear. She really is a sweet girl. Carrie took the time and put in the effort to win our girl over and let her know she was a safe human. We can not say how much we appreciate having someone we can trust with our most trouble pup as well as our home.

About: I’ve had bunnies, a hermit crab, dogs, and birds. I’ve also helped care for my friend’s pets need special care. I’m very good with pets. I’m currently working retail part time and I need additional income to supplement my expenses while I’m in school. I would love a job that combines traveling and meeting and caring for pets. My interest in pet care has grown since a few of my pets have passed recently I think it’s healthy to help care for others pets. I will administer their medication if needed and I have no issues with cleaning up after pets with tummy issues. I adhere to the family’s guidelines for their pets diet, treat, and walking schedule because I’m very specific with my dogs and their needs knowing they thrive on a routine. Playtime or limited time outdoors depend on the families requests. I’m excited to meet your family and care for them as well as mine.

Wonderful experience! She stayed overnight with my four dogs and handled my little circus like a pro. 😊 She communicated beautifully, sent pictures and updates, arrived on time, and made the entire process easy and stress-free. I especially appreciated how dependable and communicative she was throughout the stay. I would happily book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter.

Dora was amazing. We were terrified of trying dog sitting out as we had a terrible experience with a trainer we hired years ago but Dora reassured us that she will do everything to make sure we know our pups are getting well taken care of. My wife was especially scared but after receiving updates from her regularly and seeing she was doing everything we needed with a smile, we were very confident after that. She's amazing and everyone should be happy to have her as a sitter. Will book again.

FAQs for House Sitting - Westfield

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Westfield on Rover is $40 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 3,647 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Westfield. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Westfield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Westfield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Westfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Westfield. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
