“Oliver stayed at our home for a week taking care of our animals. He did an outstanding job! He provided updates and photos and went above and beyond keeping everything on schedule and making our animals feeling loved and secure. It gave us great peace of mind knowing he had everything under control while we were on vacation. We wouldn’t hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone needing a responsible and attentive animal-lover to watch their pets.”

“John was great very communicative, attentive, and punctual with Bella. This was my first experience using a sitter outside of my family, and I must say I was really happy to have found him. He made the entire process comfortable and stress-free, and I would absolutely recommend him as a sitter.”

“Terri was great with my dog Bunny who has a history of abuse and has anxiety especially new people. She really took the time to spend time with her and make her more comfortable.”
“Sandra took amazing care of our boys and our home! I didn’t have time to pick up a shredded toy (aka so much stuffing) in my office before leaving and came home to perfectly clean floors. So amazing and grateful we chose Sandra to care for our babies and our space!”

About: I currently have a 3.5 year old Shiba Inu myself, and if you know anything about these breeds they are very stubborn doggos. So I’m very familiar with patience and consistency. Raising her has given me the experience with feeding, walks, playtime, and basic grooming. In addition to her I house sit for friends that had a bully, dachshund, and chihuahua all in the same household. I have also had another friends dog stay over for a month a biggo 10 month Doberman puppy. So I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs, and will always make it a priority to help them feel safe and comfortable. Pet care is already a part of my daily routine. I care for my 3-year-old Shiba Inu every day by making sure she's fed, has fresh water, gets plenty of attention, and stays on a consistent routine. Since I currently have a flexible schedule, I'm able to spend quality time with pets and adapt to their individual needs. I understand that every dog is different, and I'm committed to making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. When caring for pets in my own home or a client's home, I always focus on keeping them comfortable and maintaining their normal routine. I make sure they have fresh food and water, provide plenty of attention and playtime, clean up after them, and monitor them to ensure they're happy and safe. I also follow any specific instructions from the owner, such as feeding schedules, medications, or other care preferences. I understand that every pet is different, and I do my best to give them the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own dog.
“We needed help with our pets very last minute and she was so accommodating and happy to help us out! Fantastic communication and lots of pictures of our babies, we will definitely be reaching out to her again next time we leave town!”

“Sherry was great! Very responsive, asked good questions, and answered promptly. Took good care of our two high-energy pups! Our home was neat and tidy, just like we left it. No problems or concerns. She was great to work with! Will use her again next time we’re headed out of town!”

“Savannah was an absolutely amazing house sitter while we were away. She was communicative and shared photos of our puppies the entire time we were away. Upon return our house was spotless and it was obvious our puppies had been loved and cared for while we were away. Words cannot begin to describe how pleased we were with Savannah. In fact, we are considering planning our upcoming travel around her availability.”

“Sonia did an excellent job house/pet sitting while we were on vacation. Two dogs loved her attention and we felt comfortable having her take care of the house too. She kept us informed daily of their status via pics and videos. Recommend her highly - we will definitely be engaging her again.”

“Marcelina was a great sitter. She did such a great job with our pup, Goji. He has high separation anxiety and she was very patient with him and calming. She sent lots of pictures and videos through out the time we were away. It was very much appreciated and she was also on time. I will be rebooking with her for sure.”

“She took great care of our dogs and cat while we were gone. She updated us frequently throughout her time with our pets and was very easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend!”

“Cathleen was excellent with our dogs and cat and we are so happy that our pets were well taken care of while we were on vacation. She made us feel very comfortable the whole time and kept us updated throughout the sitting. Highly recommend!”

“Emma as fantastic and kept us up to date daily with dog pics and comforting messages. Shes fantastic! Wow! Our boys seemed to really enjoy her too. Would definitely recommend!!!”

“I left my puppy for the weekend for the first time so I was a bit nervous on how she’d do, but she did great! The sitter was good at updating and sending photos and making sure I knew Peppa was fine! She looked very happy in all the photos she sent :) I 10/10 recommend and I’ll 100% use her service in the future again”

About: Dogs have been an important part of my life for many years, and caring for them is something I genuinely enjoy and take seriously. Over the years, I’ve cared for puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, rescue dogs, and high-energy breeds, each with their own unique personalities and needs. My experience includes fostering puppies, helping rescue and rehabilitate abandoned dogs, administering oral medications, reinforcing training, potty training puppies, and providing attentive day-to-day care through walks, house sitting, and drop-in visits. I have also cared for senior dogs who required extra patience, accommodations, and medication management. One of the things I enjoy most is getting to know each dog’s individual personality. Some dogs need structure and exercise, while others need patience, reassurance, and time to build trust. I adapt my approach to each dog while maintaining the routines and expectations established by their family. I believe great pet care goes beyond feeding and walks. I focus on creating a safe, enriching, and positive experience through structured walks, mental stimulation, play, and plenty of attention. I also provide frequent updates and photos so owners can feel confident and connected while they’re away. My long-term goal is to continue expanding my knowledge of canine behavior and training. Every dog teaches me something new, and I love the opportunity to learn from them while providing the care, consistency, and companionship they deserve. I work from home, which allows me to be flexible and attentive when caring for pets. Because I spend much of my day at home, I’m able to provide regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, companionship, and plenty of supervision. I want to make sure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and loved while maintaining the routine they’re used to at home. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow each pet parent’s instructions and do my best to maintain the routines that help dogs feel secure, comfortable, and relaxed. During walks, I stay fully attentive to the dog(s) and my surroundings. I avoid using my phone unless absolutely necessary, and if I need to check it for something important, we take a short break to ensure the dog’s safety remains my full focus. I also use safe handling practices at all times. For drop-in visits and house sitting, I make sure pets have fresh water, plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, affection, and any medications or special care they may require. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I provide regular updates and photos to help you feel connected and confident while you’re away.
About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was five years old, growing up on a farm surrounded by a wide variety of species. With over 30 years of hands-on experience, I’m comfortable caring for everything from dogs and cats to reptiles, small animals, and other unique pets. As a pet owner myself with two beloved cats, I understand that our animals are family. I’m committed to providing dependable, compassionate care and treating every pet as if they were my own, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. After all, our companions truly make life better. I own my own business, so I’m available mornings and I can come and go when I need too. I understand how stressful it can be to juggle work or travel plans while trying to make sure your pets are well cared for. Whether you’re heading to work, going out of town, or planning a holiday getaway, I’m here to help give you peace of mind. I offer both in-home pet care and care in my home, depending on what works best for you and your pet. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I believe every pet deserves to feel secure, loved, and at home while their family is away. I provide a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment where every companion receives individualized care based on their routine, personality, and needs. Whether that means long walks, playtime, enrichment, quiet relaxation, or plenty of cuddles, I tailor my care to what makes your pet happiest. I closely supervise pets at all times, follow all feeding and medication instructions carefully, and maintain open communication with pet parents through regular updates and photos. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your companion is being treated with the same love, patience, and respect I give my own pets.

About: I have pet satisfaction my family's dog and cat before as well as other people's dogs and cats and even a bunny. I am good with reptiles as I have a snake of my own. I will gladly work with young, old, medically needed, big, small, and medium animals I am happy to help. I am trying to build a business up on pet sitting and dog walking. I am happy to work on weekdays as that is my main availability but I am happy to work on the weekends if needed. I will do last minute if something changes as long as I can fit it in to my schedule. I will come in and feed them as they instruct to do and will make sure they have clean water i will let them out and walk them when needed. Mark and Claudia always go above and beyond for our dogs. We trust them completely with staying at our house and loving on our dogs. They also send the best photos of our pups! They even had to handle workmen while we were gone. We will forever be grateful for what they did. We will definitely book them again!

Sandra took excellent care of not only our pups, but our home, too!! She was incredibly responsive and provided plenty of updates while we were away. Our dogs were so spoiled and loved on. We would highly recommend Sandra to anyone needing care for their pups!!

Lana is absolutely fantastic!!! We have multiple pets and Lana took care of them spectacularly!! Lana updated us and sent pictures regularly. Our pups were very happy under Lana's care!! Not only did she take care of everyone above and beyond, she also left the house very clean and in great shape! Lana, thank you, until next time! :)

Thi and her husband were amazing! As someone who’s used a lot of dogsitters in the past (including friends) they are the best yet. When i got home i could tell my dog connected with her immensley! My dog greeted me but after she settled down, she wanted to be by Thi’a side! More importantly i got home to an amazing clean house! I think she left my house better than she found it. She was extremely prompt with my questions when I booked her. I highly recommend her!!

We could not be happier with the care Tuxie received. Throughout the entire stay Olivia provided frequent updates, photos, and videos, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. She took the time to learn Tuxie’s personality, routines, and quirks, and it was obvious he felt comfortable, happy, and loved in her care. What impressed us most was her attentiveness and judgment. Whether it was monitoring his toys for safety, reinforcing his training, keeping him active and engaged, or simply making sure he was having fun, she consistently went above and beyond. Tuxie looked relaxed, confident, and completely at home. Finding someone you trust with your dog is not easy, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have found her. We would not hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, communicative, and truly exceptional sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our little Tuxie. 🖤🐾

Deanna is fantastic. We've used her twice already and had to reschedule once. She communicates well and the dogs love her. No issues with the dogs when we depart as they want to play more with her than us. She sends pictures throughout the day and evening. Highly recommend!

Sonia is the absolute best! Our dogs are always well taken care of & happy when she’s here. We very rarely go out of town, but she has watched our dogs every time we’ve taken a trip. She is super reliable & trustworthy. We never have to worry about them if we go away bc she takes great care of them & sends us updates the entire time.
Brennah was absolutely amazing with our pups. Her communication was great both before and during the stay. She paid attention to our care instructions, sent us pictures thought out the stay and was extremely sweet and caring with our pups. We was use her again without hesitation!

Angelica is our go to girl! She is the absolute BEST and our boys love her. She takes such great care of them while we’re gone and communicates consistently throughout her stay. It’s SO nice having such a trustworthy, caring and loving sitter for our pups. ♥️

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kohrville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kohrville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kohrville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
