“Peppa seemed to do good with Heydi! I was nervous to leave her with a sitter for the first time ever since she’s an anxious puppy but Heydi was great at responding when I asked for an update and even told me in detail how her day went once I picked her up. I would definitely use her again!”

About: I have been a dog lover, owner, foster and sitter for several years. Dogs are such sweet and innocent animals, their individual personalities are so cute and can be so funny. They are so smart, I just enjoy them and being around them. I work from home and take care of my own dogs, I have three. I have a large fully fenced backyard and am a recent empty nester. So time, I have! Haha I work from home, dogs are allowed on furniture and roam while working. Potty breaks are every two hours, and play time is pretty much all day! Bedtime is kennel time till the morning. Feeding will be based on individual needs.
“I’ve taken my dog to T a few times over the last year, and each time has been great for him, as well as me. She consistently updates me with pictures throughout his stay, and he always seems happy/excited to be with her. I really appreciate her taking good care of my baby!”

“Oh my gosh—Zasio just got back from his day with Purnell and he had an absolute blast. She took him to the beach and sent tons of videos and pictures of him living his best life. Meanwhile, I was at home dealing with a flat tire and this little guy was basically on vacation 😂 I 1,000,000,000,000% recommend Purnell. She’s the best. She doesn’t just watch your dog—she treats them like family. On a side note, I love that Purnell is so close to me—literally just down the road. And I have to share this because it says everything: I was out walking Zasio on the opposite side of the neighborhood (not even near her street), and he dragged me across the street, went straight to her house, and sat in her driveway. We actually got lucky and saw her just as she was pulling out, and he was SO happy to see her. Afterward, I literally had to carry him out of sight because he refused to walk away and kept looking back at her house 🥹 He absolutely adores her—and I can tell she genuinely loves him too.”

“Diane H. and her husband made my very nervous mini aussie feel right at home. My dog has separation anxiety and within minutes of me being gone, she allowed them to hold her! They cater to your dog’s personality- they immediately assessed what my dog needed to feel comfortable. I will be using Diane H. for boarding in the near future and know that my dog will be VERY well cared for, and I will have peace of mind!”

“She was amazing. Very friendly and put my fears to rest. Let me come inside to see where they would be. Her kids are friendly and love to play with the dogs. My puppies were so tired they just went right to sleep when they came home. Also very flexible and understanding when I was running late dropping them off. Would definitely recommend and will be booking again.”
About: Hi there! We are Vivian and Gibson, and we love dogs! We've been fortunate to have dogs as part of our family for as long as we can remember, so caring for them comes naturally to us. Not only have we owned dogs our entire lives, but we've also had the opportunity to look after our friends' dogs, expanding our experience to different breeds and personalities. We understand that each dog is unique, which is why we pride ourselves on our adaptability. We know how to cater to their needs and make them feel comfortable and loved whether they’re big or small, high energy, timid, low energy, giant breeds, counter surfers, etc. Our schedule is pretty flexible! One of us works from home, so there's always someone around to keep an eye on the dogs and give them the attention they need throughout the day. In our home, we have two male neutered dogs who are friendly and welcoming to new furry friends. Our house has a fenced-in yard, providing a secure space for playtime and exercise. We have a convenient doggie door that allows our pets—and any visiting pups—access to the outdoors whenever they want. However, we can easily restrict access if needed!
“Raquel was our first time using Rover for our puppy Beau and it was a great experience! I appreciated the time she took to meet us and our pup at her home before confirming our booking request. Beau had a great time playing with her dogs! Would recommend her and will use her again!”

About: I am a happy, patient, responsible and dedicated girl. Since I was little I have felt an incredible connection with dogs because I know they feel as much as us, which is why I love spending time outdoors with them, making them feel loved, talking to them, and playing with them to make them feel more at home! I really miss my dog who stayed in my country, and although I'm sure she'll be a little jealous, she'll be calm about the love she knows I can provide to each one of the people who trust me to give their time to their loved ones fluffy balls part of the family I am available on weekdays every day from 6am to 4:00pm and on weekends all day. For now I’m just studying so taking your puppies for a walk will be a pleasure! I have a large park in my urbanization and the areas are very safe, in case I go out to exercise, so it is super reliable.
About: My last dog was a Corgi/Austrialian Shepard mix. I got her when she was 3 months old as a rescue and we lived together for 16 years. She enjoyed a healthy, happy life. Her last year was a little difficult on her due to age. I was happy to work with her on her diet, medication and exercise. She was the best! Over the years, I have been blessed with several cats in my life. All from kitten age to senior age. Male and Female. I had three at one time and they all got along beautifully with each other. Each was a joy with their own separate personality. Currently, I am blessed with two male ginger cats who are now a little over a year old. I got them when they were 2 months old. I got two because they are brothers and I did not want to split them up. They bring joy to my world each day. I am Retired and have all day and night to devote to your pets. In my home or in yours. Which ever is best for you. I have a large fenced-in back yard perfect for any puppy/dog to explore or play in. My home is pet-friendly. I have been a pet owner for many, many years and have enjoyed each and every one.
“Amber is wonderful! She took great care of Max and kept me updated on his daily activities. Max is a mature dog that has never been boarded, so I was concerned about how he would react, but his time with Amber was one of the most positive. I will definitely book with her again.”

“Adrienne was amazing with my puppy Benji and even accepted my last-minute request, which I really appreciated. She sent regular updates while he was with her. When I picked him up, he was relaxed and clearly loved his time with her. I’ll definitely be booking Adrienne again!”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
