About: I am a former teacher currently leaving the education field and pursuing other career options. Because of this transition, I am available full time and my schedule is pretty flexible. I have been a fur parent all my life. I have experience caring for senior dogs (I have cared for 3 of my own). I am patient and attentive to detail. I believe in giving 100% in everything I do, so I love to ensure your pet is getting the proper love and care they deserve. This is my full time job so I am pretty flexible. With the proper advance notices, I can do drop-ins and walks in mornings and afternoons. I can do boardings on weekends and weekdays after 3pm. My animals are on a routine feeding schedule. They have many potty breaks and have play time in our fenced backyard. My senior dogs get any medication they need while enjoying relaxing time in my home.
“Rachael was responsive and responsible. She spent a good amount of time on each of the walks and accommodated our dogs preference to turn around and go home to play in the backyard.”

About: I have taken care of animals as long as I can remember! With fostering I have been around and taking care of different breeds of dogs, sizes of dogs and dogs with certain needs that needed to be addressed. I have worked with fostering dogs for about a year now with an organization stationed out of Pennsylvania. Every dog I have rescued has been from a kill shelter with various medical needs, mental needs, and emotional needs. I am comfortable around all dogs/cats and I am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your animal! I would love to get to know your dog and continue to give them the best care while you’re away! I have one puppy of my own that I rescued. Her name is Rayne. She is a small dog her back does not even reach the bottom of my knee. She’s a very loving and playful. She does a great with meeting new dogs. She has been around every single dog. I have saved and fostered. I have a fenced yard and a small dog myself who loves to meet and play with dogs. I do have experience with taking care of different breeds of dogs. I can also create your dog if that’s what you would prefer. If not, my dog is super friendly and loves meeting new dogs.
About: I was active in the rescue community for 12 years, and served as Executive Director for a local animal shelter for 4 years. I fostered lots of dogs during that time, including many medical cases. Also helped 3 dogs birth pups! Jason is the one that helped me find my love of dogs with our first pup many years ago. Our goal is to give you peace of mind while you travel and provide a mini vacay for your pup! -Karen I am a stay at home dog mom so my schedule is very flexible. When I am gone during the day, it is just for quick errands like to the store or the gym. My backyard is my "office" and I love spending time outside with the dogs. We also have a pool if your pup likes to swim. We also get walks in each morning and if your dog likes car rides, I am happy to take them on field trips to the park too! Jason is usually home after his work day and is my back up if needed in the evenings or weekends. The dogs love him just as much as they love me!! When I board your dog in my home, your pup will get the same love my dogs receive. They are allowed on the furniture as we love to cuddle while watching tv. I do have a pool and will always be outside to make sure your dog is safe. My gates to the backyard are locked as safety is my first priority. I do have an oversized backyard so plenty of room to run and if your pup swims they are welcome to the pool! All dogs get a walk each day and I also love to take them on outings if allowed. We have lots of play time and outdoor time so pups sleep soundly at night.
“Terri has been so wonderful with my dog. She is quick to respond and very flexible and sends me detailed updates on how his walks go. She is also very knowledgeable about training and helping to train out behaviors. All around great dog walker!”

About: I am very patient and playful with all animals. Growing up with many dogs, cats, gerbels, mice, etc learned early how to care and protect our furry family members. As I am now retired from corporate america, I have lots of time to walk and take care of pets. We don’t have a pet currently as we travel so find this service and great way to interact with dogs and cats. Have learned signs and behaviors of pets to avoid conflict. Enjoy sharing my lap with our furry friends and go out of my way to ensure their comfort.
About: I have a lifelong passion for animals and years of hands-on care. I bring a blend of experience, patience, and attention to detail to every pet-sitting assignment. I have owned cats my entire life and currently care for two harness-trained black void kitties who go on frequent walks. One of is even trained to sit on command In addition to my cats, I have experience caring for neighbors’ cats, where I took care of a old cat with special feeding requirements. My dog-handling experience stems from years of walking and caring for my Grandma's and Aunt's small to medium sized dogs throughout my childhood. Above all, I am detail-oriented, cautious, and genuinely devoted to the well-being of every animal in my care, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and attended to just as they would with you. I am a part time worker that works less than 19 hours a week at my job. I do not work everyday and can do most mornings , afternoons, or nights, depending on my schedule that week. My top priority is maintaining your pet's normal routine to reduce stress and anxiety. I follow all instructions to the letter, from feeding schedules and medication dosages to leash protocols and door security. I am extremely vigilant about escape prevention, especially with cats and tiny criters. They call snakes the escape artists of the pet world, I have habits of always double-check that windows, screens, and doors are securely closed. I treat your home with the same respect I treat my own, leaving everything clean and tidy, and I provide regular updates with photos so you have peace of mind while you're away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
