“Absolutely incredible! Managing a high-strung Boxer and a Plott Hound at the same time takes serious skill, but Marcelina handled them like an absolute pro. My Boxer’s intense energy and my Plott Hound’s strong nose can make walks a chaotic handful, but they both came home completely wiped out, calm, and happy. Marcelins was completely unfazed by their high energy and kept them safely focused the whole time. I will definitely be booking again—highly recommend to anyone with high-energy or working breeds!"”

My experience as a veterinary technician has taught me how to recognize signs of stress, illness, or injury and respond appropriately if something unexpected happens. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

He took to Jennifer instantly, and they had a great few walks, will definitely be booking again. 5 Stars!”

About: I've loved and mothered as many animals as would let me for as long as I can remember. I've been the owner of multiple dogs and cats, always helping others with their pets as well. Always the caretaker & growing up around animals & vet techs, I've rescued baby kittens, puppies and birds anytime I found them. I would as a child & teen (with the help of adults) find fosters, professionals or forever homes depending on the need. Animals & nature are my core peace. Living with my grandmother over the years, she always had mutitudes of pets, fed and watched wildlife and I loved to be involved. I've had one on one interactions throughout my life with a multitude of animals well beyond dogs and cats (such as spider monkeys, marsupials, elephants, baby baboons, ferrets and snakes) & have found I love them all! As pets I've had I've had cats, dogs, fish, mice, guinea pigs and even helped foster back to health an injured golden owl as a child. All in all, I find joy in interacting with virtually all animals and would love the opportunity to assist in giving love and care to others pets! I'm a married 52 year old woman with a husband, 20 year old and 3 cats at home. (While surprisingly my husband is a 'cat' person, I love all pets!) I was recently became unemployed as well as being the managing/primary caretaker for my husband & his cancer battle of 7 years, missing much work for his medical appointments & transplants. This change however allows me more flexibility and independence to manage schedules and in short time to further my education. Helping with animals gives me a wanted and needed purpose beyond my home, allows time with animals, a source of joy & a calm for me and with less 'work' stress. I would love to meet you & your pets, get to know them and assist with their care any way I can! I will accommodate as requested for pet care and routines agreed upon. I know that all pets enjoy routine and it helps to keep them calm and happy when that is kept as best as possible. I try to keep a calm volume even with excitement in the tone. Animals pick up on what we put out from moods to tones and they always read body language. In due respect, so do I. Being aware of temperatures, whether they may need shoes for foot protection, a jacket for warmth or to be held when it's thundering - being aware of an animals reactions to their surroundings and people is of the upmost importance, whether outside on a walk or inside the home. My goal is to always provide a calming and fun experience for pets, making them feel safe, secure, taken care of and loved, while putting the owner at ease that their baby is in experienced, responsible and loving hands.
About: I genuinely love animals and know how important it is to have someone you can trust caring for them when you can’t be there. I’m dependable, attentive, and will take the time to learn your pet’s personality, routine, and little quirks. Whether it’s walks, playtime, meals, or just some extra company and love, I’ll treat your pet like I’d want someone to treat my own. And you can count on plenty of updates and pictures along the way! 🐾 I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so pet care fits naturally into my day. I start most mornings with a walk with my own pup and am available throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, or check-ins. Working from home gives me the flexibility to work around your pet’s routine and make sure they get plenty of attention and care. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet and your home. I’ll always follow your pet’s normal routine and instructions, and I’ll be respectful of your space and make sure everything is secure. At home, I have a 3-year-old Boxer/Australian Shepherd mix and a 9-year-old daughter, so safety and compatibility are very important to me. We have a fenced yard for plenty of outdoor time and a great dog park nearby for pups who enjoy it. Before welcoming any pet into our home, I’ll want us to meet first to make sure everyone is comfortable and it’s a good fit. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, they’ll get plenty of attention and love, and I’ll keep you updated with pictures and check-ins along the way.

“Valerie and Bruce were great when they took care of our Husky Boomer. They hit it off during the meet and great and had a nice time going for Boomer’s walks. They were real troopers, considering the stormy weather they had to deal with while we were away. We received messages every time he started and ended his walks and received a little map and report with pictures on how it all went. We were all very pleased with the care Boomer was given, it was our first time using the service but would highly recommend Valerie and Bruce! Thanks again for taking good care of our fur baby.”
“Anumeha showed up on time. She listened to my advice with chica and did an excellent job walking my dog Chica. I hope I can work with her again, my dog came back happy from her walk”

“Melissa did a fantastic job walking my two older dogs while we were on vacation and our dogs were home with my mother in law. She is very attentive to the dogs and sent me a lovely write up on how each walk went with pictures which was great. She even spent some time with our puppy who didn't go on the walks. My dogs adore her and were excited to see her on walk days. I would definitely recommend Melissa and I will reach out to her in the future as the need arises for sure. Thanks a million Melissa!”

About: Hi, my name is Angela! I've been passionate about taking care of pets since I was 11 years old. Growing up, my family had a mixed-breed poodle named Coco who was incredibly protective of me. Coco was more than just a pet; he was a part of our family and holds a special place in my heart. I've always aspired to become a veterinarian and have dedicated much of my studies to this field. While living in Texas, I gained experience by walking and caring for neighborhood dogs. Your furry friends will be in excellent hands with me, as I am completely remote and can provide them with constant attention and care. Whether it's taking breaks, going outside, or just hanging out, I'll make sure your dog gets plenty of playtime and love while staying safe. As a pet owner myself, I understand any concerns you might have about leaving your pet with a stranger. That’s why I offer meet and greets to ensure you feel comfortable and confident in my care. I'm very reliable and will provide treats for your furry friend. If they have any allergies, just let me know. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and will make sure they get lots of belly rubs and head scratches🐶. I have a flexible schedule I work from home , so I’m available any time just let me know pior and we can discuss any information that I will need to know. Our babies can get very needy, so I will show your pet lots of love and affection. Your pet will be put on a schedule; I will feed them every morning and night. I can also give your pets showers if needed and take them on walks so they can use the bathroom whenever necessary. I will maintain your pet's schedule to ensure they feel secure and comfortable. I provide treats and toys to make them feel at home with me. I hope to build a strong connection and relationship with your dogs. If they’re not trained, that’s okay—I will help teach them. Additionally, I will provide you with pictures to reassure you that your furry friend is being well taken care of💕. I will definitely treat them as my own🤱. Your dog will be safe and loved with me.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
