Availability

My Rover pets are part of my family. During the summer months when I'm out of school, I'm with them the majority of the time. However, once school is in session I'm gone from 7:30 am to about 5:00 pm. During the time I am gone, I prefer from my Rover pets to be in a crate, and then I let them out the minute I get home.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced yard, a super friendly GSD, and a 7 yr old child at home. I prefer my overnighters to have a crate to sleep in, but other than bedtime and when I'm not at home they out with me and part of my family.

Information Cathy M. would like to know about your pet

Are they friendly with other animals? Are they good with small children? Are they crate trained? How are they around a pool? I have a doggie door that gives them 24/7 access to the backyard. But if they aren't trusted around a pool, I restrict the access and just make sure I'm with them outside at all times.

A typical day

When a Rover dog comes to my house, they are part of the family. Whatever my dog does, they do. If they are allowed to get on the furniture at home, I allow it at my house (same goes if they are not). For exercise, I've taken dogs on walks around my neighborhood, to Kickerillo, or Meyer Park.

Pet care experience

Hi, my name is Cathy and I’m a 6th grade math teacher in Spring. I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family since I was young. I’m a huge animal lover, and treat all animals as if they were my own. My pets live in the house with me and are always a part of the family, and I’ll treat and love yours as if they were also a part of my family. Your dog doesn’t have to be crate trained, but if they are that’s okay too. I have a laid back German Shepard that gets along with all animals, big and small. I also have a cat, but she ignores everyone and stays hidden for the most part. If your dog doesn’t get along with cats, I have the means to keep them separated. Please know that while your dog is in my care he will be loved and spoiled.

Cathy is so great about finding both of our cats for a photo op and cuddle during every visit! We have one cat who is the definition of a scaredy cat, but Cathy has won him over with cuddles! Thank you Cathy!

Her help was incredible; she took great care of our kittens and provided us with a lot of information about them. She was responsible and cooperative. She's already my favorite pet sitter. Thank you so much for everything!
