“Gladys is outstanding! She is incredibly caring, detail-oriented, and delivered so much information and pictures that we were entirely confident and assured during our trip. Our cats immediately felt safe and secure and came out for pets (they both can be shy and do not readily show themselves at all!). We recommend Gladys with the highest recommendation and are scheduling two more trips! Highly recommended with total confidence. Thank you so much Gladys!”

“Tatiana was great with my dog! She was on time with her drop ins, gave me regular updates, asked follow up questions on care instructions, and did a great job caring for my dog. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a sitter”

“Morgan is so helpful and communicative. She gives my pups all the love and attention. She is responsive and very flexible. I appreciate her easing my mind while I travel, knowing my pup is in good caring hands.”

“Shea was great with our cat! She was a great communicator and understood how to handle our older cat. Our cat can sometimes be a bit cranky when we get back home but this time he was much more relaxed because of the time she spent with him.”

“TLDR: Giselle is amazing with both immediately friendly dogs and reactive dogs who need longer to warm up. Giselle was amazing with both of our girls! We have a labradoodle who is a true velcro dog and a terrier mix who is not a fan of strangers. We went through rover because we wanted our dogs to start getting used to new people. I was extremely nervous about leaving our terrier mix with someone new. She's not a biter but she does bark and charge at strangers who go near her. We scheduled a meet and greet a few days early with Giselle and she stayed until the terrier settled. During the actual drop ins, at first the terrier did not want to go to Giselle at all but Giselle was patient and sat with her to show her she was safe. By the second or third drop in, the terrier was not just okay with Giselle but genuinely excited to see her! We were so relieved that our dogs were comfortable while we were away.”

“Cecilia did an amazing job. She was on-time, followed the directions we left and gave extra snuggles to my fur babies. She will be our go to person moving forward. I appreciated her ability to wiggle the schedule and be flexible with my changing plans.”

“Traffic delay was unexpected after the rain fall. Ashley kept us posted on her arrival time. When she left her house and updated on ETA throughout her trip. We really appreciated that!!”

“she is such a great sitter for my fur babies!! first time using rover & im so glad i used alexa! i was so nervous leaving my dogs as one of them has neurological issues but i know they were both well taken care of by alexa!! definitely will be using her again!! 🖤”

About: Howdy! Caring for animals isn’t just something I do, it’s something I absolutely love! Throughout my life, I've always had dogs and later worked full-time at a doggie daycare, where I gained hands-on experience with a wide range of breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. During that time, I completed training classes and emergency pet care courses, giving me the knowledge to respond confidently in both everyday situations and unexpected ones. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, including seniors who may need extra patience, medication management, mobility support, or a slower pace. If you’re interested, I can also provide one-on-one training sessions during your pup’s stay to reinforce good manners, basic commands, or specific goals you may have. When your pet is with me, their safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I carefully follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special care requests you provide. I pay close attention to behavior and body language to ensure they’re feeling secure and well cared for at all times. I have a friendly, playful dog who loves making new friends, and two cats who have their own dedicated space to ensure everyone feels comfortable and stress-free. My home is structured, supervised, and pet-focused. Your pet will be treated as part of the family, with plenty of love, attention, and personalized care throughout their stay. I look forward to the opportunity to care for your furry family member! I work full-time during the week as an analyst. However, I am hybrid and will be available to care for your pet! I have a pup of my own so I know how to work with their needs. I have a backyard for playing and a friendly dog that will keep your dog company! If needed, I can separate and focus on your pet.
“This was my first time using Rover and Suzanne was an absolute angel for my cat. Besides doing the basics of scooping the litter and feeding him, she also washed out his bowls when they got dirty. She meticulous and careful and showed my fur baby so much love. 💕”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs in my life since I was born. I adopted two cats of my own and lived on and off with my dad and his dog since he was adopted five years ago. I love to let pets (but especially dogs) come to me which has made me friends with some of my friends most skiddish protective dogs! I am in an evening program for my graduate school so I am home throughout the day. I used to work in aviation (24/7/365 industry) so I am familiar with and can accommodate a variety of care schedules and needs! In my own home with my cats I clean the litter box daily, feed my cats twice daily, and in general you’ll find us hanging out in the office or living room where they’ll typically have one paw on my leg to know I’m there but have their space. I like to let them (& anyone else’s pets) come to me first and guide how much interaction they would like while staying cognizant of food, medication, and walk schedules.
About: Navy vet just lookin for a part time job and thought this would be the best because i love animals. I love spending time with dogs have some training skills basic like teach him or her how to sit just the little stuff nothing really sets me apart from others i just love animals. So if you’re to busy to get back to your furry family members just hit me up and I’ll be there as soon as possible I’m currently not working I’m a veteran and will be going to school starting this year so i will have plenty of time to take care of your pets For my clients at there home i would give them the love and care they need weither it’s a long walk or letting them outside. “My cat was diagnosed with diabetes 2 weeks before my vacation. I was an emotional wreck and needed to find someone to take care of my baby while I was out of town. I scheduled a meet and greet with Melissa and instantly fell in love with her vibe. She took care of my fur baby for 3 and a half days. She came twice a day to feed and administer my cat insulin shots and cleaned her litter box. She made me feel comfortable and at ease with every check in appointment with detailed notes on how everything went. My cat is very standoffish, stubborn and a brat when I’m not around. I appreciated her patience and she wasn’t afraid of my kitty at all. She cared for my baby as it was her own. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that’s in need of a cat/dog sitter. She has earned my trust and I will be sure to book with Melissa in the future. THANKS AGAIN SO MUCH FOR THE LOVE AND CARE YOU GAVE TO MY BABY !!!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for at least 22 years as my pets. I have had a Yorkie, Sharpei, and now a Boxer. I have taken care of puppies and senior dogs. Hands down, dogs are better than humans. I am the resident dog sitter for my fiends and my friends love to watch my dog because she is so well mannered and trained. I look forward to helping you with your loved pup. I am currently not working so I am home the majority of the time. I leave to run errands and my Mother lives with me as well. I have a fenced in yard and water is always available indoors and outdoors. There is nothing in the home that can harm our pets because I keep the house free of clutter. When they play with toys or have treats (if permitted), I keep my eyes on them to make sure there are no mishaps.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
