About: I have taken care of dogs all my life. I’ve always had a dog, right now we have two. I’ve been housesitting for 4+ years & I dog-sat all throughout high school. This is currently my only job, so my calendar is very open! I do house-sit outside of Rover, but I keep my calendar up to date! I will follow the instructions given to me, & treat each animal as if they were my own. Gaining trust with animals is important to a good petsitter.
“I can’t recommend Zoe enough! She took incredible care of Millie and Sadie, while I was away. From regular updates and photos to taking them for a walk. It’s such a relief to know I can trust someone so reliable, professional, and genuinely passionate about animals. Thank you so much – we’ll definitely be booking again!”

“This is my 2nd time using Lexe and very happy with her! She was very good at sending pictures and following instructions was even thoughtful enough to bring my delivered packages in to my house while we were out of town! Will definitely use again!”

“Lexi took great care of my two kitties, and provided great and heart warming updates every visit. They seemed so happy and relaxed when I got home, I just know they were happy :)”

“Lori is the greatest pet sitter to ever exist. She goes above and beyond to take care of your pets and will make sure they are happy, entertained, and loved. Not a single visit wasn’t amazing.”

“Heba did a fabulous job looking after our dog while we were out for 5 days on Spring break. She offered a meet and greet to understand our need and our dog’s routine when I first contacted her; and did exactly what we discussed. Heba also gave thorough update on every visit and sent photos of the walk and playtime. I came back to find our dog looking well cared for and happy. Heba also helped us to un-jam our Roomba and bring in our delivered pet food (pretty heavy!) while we were away, which was a nice gesture. This is our first time getting a pet sitter on Rover after our last bad experience with a pet hotel. Heba provided such good service that we are now a Rover convert.”

“Kristen was an amazing dog sitter for our German Shepherd Dog. We used her for drop in visits and each time she gave us a full update with pictures of our fur baby. I felt so comforted to hear how he was doing every day - he was definitely in good hands. Im so glad we found Kristen - we will definitely be using her to care for our pup again in the future!”

“Emily was amazing with our two border terriers. This was the first time we have had a drop-in pet sitter, and we will definitely use Emily the next time we travel. She spent time playing with our dogs, sent updates at every visit, and even gave our elder dog her ear drops! Emily is awesome!”

About: I have grown up around dogs of all kinds and sizes. My two childhood pets were a Labrador mix and a scottish terrier. Now i help out with my siblings more energetic breeds including a german shepherd mix and an australian shepherd. I even have my own fur baby, who is a sweet ragdoll cat. I’m comfortable around all breeds for both dogs and cats, and understand that every animal has different needs and boundaries when it comes to meeting someone new. I have a very open and flexible schedule that allows me to check on your pets multiple times a day if you prefer. For drop in visits, i can provide up to 3 visits a day, and i can offer dog walking as well. House sitting is an option I offer as long as I am given 3 days notice in advance. I prefer to watch dogs in their own space since i have a cat who is afraid of them. Instead i prefer watching any pets in their own space. I can provide playtime and cuddle time, and can even walk dogs as long as they are leash trained.

“Lauren was fantastic. We had a last minute trip and she pulled through for us. Very friendly and accommodated everything we asked for. I got daily pictures and my dog looked like he was having a blast. I will always use Lauren for my pet sitting 100%!”

“I can tell by the picture update pictures how my Tito is relaxed and enjoys receiving Christin’s company. She is flexible with my schedules and appreciate her so much as she provides such a peace of mind. I would recommend her every single time. 💕”

“Heather did a PHENOMENAL job with my two cats while I was away. One of my cats is slow to warm up to people and he was great with Heather. Heather made sure that they were fed, had water, and that their litter boxes were clean. The reports that I got daily really put me at ease while I was gone. I'm already planning on booking Heather again.”

“MaryHelen is absolutely WONDERFUL! We are so thankful to have found a new forever sitter for Nugget. I was very pleased to find out that she has a cat of her own with the same urinary issue as Nugget. If your cat has FIC, you’ll know exactly how hard it can be to find someone who can understand how confusing this condition can be.”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. I’m experienced with dogs of different sizes, ages, personalities, and energy levels, and I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’m attentive, patient, dependable, and happy to follow your pet’s routine, whether that means playtime, training routines, cuddles, medications, or simply keeping them company. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I have just finished taking classes. I am currently completely open to help with any pet needs! I adore all animals even the kind without fur! I have a very needy GSD and two very needy cats. I give lots of attention, love and play time. I am also able to do some training with puppies if needed!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Egypt
Kyleigh did an amazing job watching my older cat Ashley. She went out of her way to keep her happy, fed, and from being lonely during my 3 weeks away from home. I will definitely have her watch Ashley again when I travel, it was such a comfort knowing that Kyleigh was there taking care of her!

She is a wonderful and trusted sitter. My cats were looked after for 5 days and Christin was very attentive with her updates and photos. She played with and loved on my babies while I was gone, making sure they were well and cared after. I 100% recommend her for any sitting jobs!

Haley did a wonderful job with our 2 smalls dogs and cat. She was very patient and kind, and kept us informed on their daily behaviors or anything that seemed out of the ordinary. She showed a lot of care and attention. We will definitely have Haley over again to help care for our fur kiddos!

We couldn't be happier with the care Heba provided for our two cats and two fish while we were away. Our cat warmed up to her immediately, and we loved receiving the daily photo updates. She was also very diligent with the fish feeding and tank check-ins, which we really appreciated. The house was spotless when we returned, and everyone was happy and healthy. Truly a professional and a natural with animals. Highly recommend!

Zixin is the best! My cat is usually very shy and will hide from new people. Zixin was able to start petting my cat right away. He was able to do everything I asked and more. He kept great track of my cat’s bowel movements and notified me when he was concerned. I would definitely book Zixin again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Egypt. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
