“Kathy went above and beyond by not only spending time with my kitty, giving him some affection but also bringing some of my packages in and taking out my trash. Thanks for going the extra mile!”

“Amazing sitter for our dog and 2 cats! She went above and beyond! So happy we chose Kristina. We highly recommend her for pet sitting. Thank you so much for caring for our fur babies!”

“I needed somebody to go to my house and take care of my cats since my trip out of state got extended and Alexandria was very prompt with her responses, followed instructions very well, and got my babies taken care of! I would absolutely trust her in my house and with my babies again!”

“Alyssa was great! She came over and did drop in visits for our cat for about a week. Our cat is normally very shy, but she took to Alyssa immediately. Alyssa also made sure to send pictures, videos, and notes throughout the visits that made us feel much more comfortable with being away”

“Ive used Anthony multiple times and can’t say enough great things. He helped me out after a last minute cancel! He communicates well. My dog is shy and I really appreciate Anthony’s patience with him. Would highly recommend Anthony and will continue to request him!”

“Ginger and her brother did a wonderful job watching our 2 kitties! Normally one of our cats is too shy to come out at all when a stranger is at the house, but they managed to bring him out of his shell. They are super nice and respectful. We’ll be booking them again!”

About: I used to work at a veterinary clinic for around 2 years, and I have been a dog owner for 9 years. I have taken care of a wide variety of dogs and I am very comfortable with them. I am a currently a student but on most days I only have class for around 4 hours. Other than that I am fairly flexible outside of taking care of my own dogs I am happy to take your pet on walks for potty breaks as well as let them in your yard depending on your preference. I also am happy to spend time with your pet in your home during drop ins.
“This was our first time booking with Rover in our new neighborhood/ home and we could not have asked for a better experience. Lesly was prompt and sometimes even early for each visit. The dogs absolutely loved her and didn’t want her to leave. She did an amazing job following instructions for medications, feeding schedules etc.. We will definitely be rebooking with Lesly each and every time.”

“Jessica was fantastic! We needed someone at the last minute to care for our three dogs with multiple visits each day during our Fourth of July weekend trip. She came by for a meet and greet beforehand, and from the very first visit, she was reliable, caring, and communicative. She took great care of all three of our dogs, always walked them, and sent regular updates with photos after each visit, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Jessica is dependable, professional, and clearly loves animals. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy person!!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
