About: I have taken care of dogs all my life. I’ve always had a dog, right now we have two. I’ve been housesitting for 4+ years & I dog-sat all throughout high school. This is currently my only job, so my calendar is very open! I do house-sit outside of Rover, but I keep my calendar up to date! I will follow the instructions given to me, & treat each animal as if they were my own. Gaining trust with animals is important to a good petsitter.
“We had an excellent experience with Emily, caring for our two senior cats while on a extended week away. They were very happy with her services and we felt so grateful that she was able to manage our mischievous girls without issues. She focused on giving love and cuddles to our sweet friendly girl while respecting the boundaries of our ornery kitty, and this was easily the calmest they’ve ever been after time apart from us. She was great in her communication and flexible, which we appreciated. We will absolutely be utilizing her services again.”
“From the moment I met Alyssa I knew she was the perfect person for my pets. She is so attentive and goes the extra mile to make sure my babies are happy and well. I love how detailed her updates were and never had to worry about my pets. I will definitely hire her again!”

“Lesly has been so reliable, and has saved me with some short notice requests when I needed coverage! I can tell by my pup’s photos that she is really comfortable and happy around Lesly! Thank you LB!”

“Joy was a complete Godsend during my recent vacation when I unexpectantly became hospitalized out of state. She was amazing in that she continued to care for my pets making certain that they were safe and well taken care of. Prompt checks-ins and photos gave me peace of mind during an uncertain time. She even did extra's along the way. Will definitely be using her again when in need of a pet sitter!”

“I needed somebody to go to my house and take care of my cats since my trip out of state got extended and Alexandria was very prompt with her responses, followed instructions very well, and got my babies taken care of! I would absolutely trust her in my house and with my babies again!”

“Azharia was amazing! Her professionalism and attention to detail is unmatched! I appreciate her some much for the education that she provided after noting some issues with my senior dog. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for services. I will be booking with her again!”

“Megan did such a GREAT job taking care of our 2 senior big boys while we went on a trip on a busy holiday weekend. Communications were stellar as were the adorable photos she took of our dogs. Megan really went above & beyond to take care of our boys! I’d highly highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, communicative & fantastic pet sitter for their fur babies!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals since I was 10, growing up with a cat and a dog at home. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to care for pets with different personalities and needs. Now, I share my home with two beloved cats, so I’m very familiar with feline behavior, health, and routines. Pet care is naturally built into my daily routine. Every morning and evening, I make time for feeding, play, and cuddle sessions with my two cats, along with regular grooming and litter box cleaning. On weekends, I dedicate extra time for interactive play or enrichment activities to keep them happy and stimulated. Because I already prioritize pet care in my daily life, fitting in time for walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays for other pets comes naturally to me. Consistency and reliability are very important to me, so I make sure every pet I care for feels safe, loved, and well-attended to. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, their safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In my home, I create a calm, pet-friendly environment — no unsafe plants, secure windows and doors, and plenty of cozy spaces for rest and play. For cats, I ensure clean litter boxes and regular playtime; for dogs, I provide structured walks and safe indoor play. When I’m in a client’s home, I respect their routines and rules to keep pets feeling secure. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special care instructions. I also keep the space clean, double-check that doors and gates are secure, and send regular updates so pet parents feel at ease while they’re away.
“I can’t recommend Zoe enough! She took incredible care of Millie and Sadie, while I was away. From regular updates and photos to taking them for a walk. It’s such a relief to know I can trust someone so reliable, professional, and genuinely passionate about animals. Thank you so much – we’ll definitely be booking again!”

“Kimberly did an excellent job with drop-in visits for our dog and cat. Our dog was anxious, shy, and a little uncooperative the first few visits, but Kimberly was patient and after a couple of visits, our dog was excited to see her. Even our cat, who usually runs and hides when someone comes over, was staying out and letting Kimberly pet her. We will definitely be reaching out to Kimberly for future drop-in visits. She gave us peace of mind that our critters were in good hands.”
“I can’t thank you enough for always staying in contact with every visit and loving our babies. Anyone that needs a fantastic sitter, look no further. Thank you again for being amazing.”

“MaryHelen is absolutely WONDERFUL! We are so thankful to have found a new forever sitter for Nugget. I was very pleased to find out that she has a cat of her own with the same urinary issue as Nugget. If your cat has FIC, you’ll know exactly how hard it can be to find someone who can understand how confusing this condition can be.”

“Our family is so grateful to Jemma for her excellent care of Luke while we were away unexpectedly. She has always been such a good personality-fit for Luke, and it was very reassuring that Jemma was checking in regularly with us to keep us updated on his progress while we were gone. Luke always thrives under her care. We would gladly hire Jemma again in the future and highly recommend her sitting services!”

“Rachel was Absolutely Awesome!! We booked her on short notice, she came by for a meet and greet the very next day and bonded with our Bubba's instantly. She's timely, kind, gentle with or fur babies and we could not have asked for any more. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for their Paws to be in Good Hands!!! Jay B.”

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodloch. On Rover:

- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
