““Adien was great! My dogs absolutely loved him. He sent pictures throughout the day and night, which gave me great peace of mind. He even stayed a couple of nights with them, and I couldn’t have asked for better care. I highly recommend Adien!””

“Cherie did such a great job house-sitting with our two dogs while we were away! We got lots of photos and updates each day, sharing how things were going and easing some of the anxiety of being away. She was incredibly thoughtful and caring with our elderly dog, patiently assisting him around steps and making sure he was able to do things at his pace. Would absolutely recommend Cherie!”

“We left town for a few days and she came to watch our rambunctious and clever border collie. She NAILED it! Not only did we get pics and videos but also detailed and kind texts about our baby. She left our house and her room as clean as we left it, and was kind enough to offer to come back by when our flight was delayed. We will for sure be using her again in the future because anyone that makes our dog this happy makes us even happier.”

“Meg is fantastic, our animals love her. She sends great update photos and get consistent updates on how everyone was when she drops in. I’d be happy to rebook her anytime we needed someone to watch our pets.”

We appreciated the communication and photos of our pups while we were gone! She left us a sweet note and recapped her stay with our pups in a daily pup news journal!!!! we are very pleased with Marie's stay and will be asking for her help again soon!! The Brownlees”

“Cierra was so good with our pup Madison! She accepted our last minute booking and watched her over the weekend while we were away. She was able to get Maddie to take her pills also which is usually very very hard . We will definitely be booking her again in the future!”

About: I have been pet sitting for 6 years with all kinds of pets, for many dogs and cats, and 3 birds. I have also fostered many dogs through the years, from 2016 to the present. I also worked in a pet grooming shop and bathed and dried dogs and cats. During weekdays evenings work best and for weekends any time of the day works. Whether that's a drop by to see how pets are doing or a quick walk to get their wiggles out. I will be able to do more hours in the future but for right now I will mostly have to do late evenings or all day weekends I care for every pet as my own. My pets are always well fed, and always have water out for them. Taken out multiple times a day. My pets and pets that I have pet sat for get walks when it’s not too hot outside and walk times vary on how old the dog is, and how much they can take. Pets always get medication when needed. I will always pick up after any pet if they make a mess and I will always make sure that your home is left better than when I started
“Gabby was outstanding! She took care of our senior dog, Milo, during a 9-night house sitting stay, and we could not have asked for a better sitter. While we were away, Milo unexpectedly had a significant mobility/weakness issue arise. Gabby handled the situation calmly, responsibly, and with great care. She immediately communicated with us, sent pictures and videos so we could understand what was happening, and followed our guidance closely. She was able to add additional medication support for Milo and, most importantly, kept him comfortable and stable until we returned. Gabby stayed in regular contact with us throughout the trip and clearly cared about doing what was best for Milo. The situation was unexpected, and she truly went above and beyond. She also took excellent care of our home and left the house in perfect condition. We are very grateful for the care Gabby provided and would absolutely trust her with Milo again. We highly recommend Gabby, especially for anyone with a senior dog who needs extra patience, judgment, and attention.”

“Kathleen has been a lifesaver! I needed someone to house sit for Millie at the last minute and she was THERE. She is such a sweet, patient and capable dog sitter, a pleasure to be around. Millie took to her right away. 5 stars for Kathy!!!”

“Jada was amazing with our three fur babies while staying in our home. This was the first time in a long time that we trusted someone outside of family or friends, and we couldn’t be happier with her care. She was fantastic with our dogs, kept us updated with texts, and was always responsive to our messages. When we returned home, our dogs were happy, and their routines remained unchanged. We will definitely be using her services again!”

About: I am a former teacher currently leaving the education field and pursuing other career options. Because of this transition, I am available full time and my schedule is pretty flexible. I have been a fur parent all my life. I have experience caring for senior dogs (I have cared for 3 of my own). I am patient and attentive to detail. I believe in giving 100% in everything I do, so I love to ensure your pet is getting the proper love and care they deserve. This is my full time job so I am pretty flexible. With the proper advance notices, I can do drop-ins and walks in mornings and afternoons. I can do boardings on weekends and weekdays after 3pm. My animals are on a routine feeding schedule. They have many potty breaks and have play time in our fenced backyard. My senior dogs get any medication they need while enjoying relaxing time in my home.
About: I love spending time with dogs, cats and all babies alike. Your babies will be my babies and I will love them and treat them as my own. I have cared for pups and cats of all ages and circumstances. Your wish is my command I am retired and have a flexible schedule to be able to care for your babies. I will enjoy spending time with them fully for sure! I have a fully fenced backyard and am always aware of the surroundings to make sure that they are always safe and well care for.
“Terra was great and took such good care of my cat while I was away. She sent frequent daily updates with pictures which was so appreciated. I will definitely contact Terra for a future stay!”

About: I have grown up around dogs of all kinds and sizes. My two childhood pets were a Labrador mix and a scottish terrier. Now i help out with my siblings more energetic breeds including a german shepherd mix and an australian shepherd. I even have my own fur baby, who is a sweet ragdoll cat. I’m comfortable around all breeds for both dogs and cats, and understand that every animal has different needs and boundaries when it comes to meeting someone new. I have a very open and flexible schedule that allows me to check on your pets multiple times a day if you prefer. For drop in visits, i can provide up to 3 visits a day, and i can offer dog walking as well. House sitting is an option I offer as long as I am given 3 days notice in advance. I prefer to watch dogs in their own space since i have a cat who is afraid of them. Instead i prefer watching any pets in their own space. I can provide playtime and cuddle time, and can even walk dogs as long as they are leash trained.
About: I’m an experienced, dependable pet sitter who understands that pets are family. I provide attentive, loving care tailored to each pet’s personality, routine, and individual needs. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply relaxing in a calm environment, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m patient, responsible, and attentive to feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and special instructions. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring and capable hands. I’m flexible and able to adjust my routine based on each pet’s needs, whether that means early morning walks, midday visits, evening care, or overnight companionship. My goal is to keep pets comfortable, happy, and as close to their normal routine as possible I care for each pet according to their normal routine, personality, and specific needs. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, playtime, sleeping arrangements, and house rules
“Tammy was lovely and took great care of our 3 dogs and 2 cats while we were away for a long weekend. They were all happy and relaxed when we got home. The house was left impeccable! We absolutely recommend Tammy to take care of your pets, and look forward to booking her again in the future.”

“Sherry came to the rescue at the last minute to stay for 4 days with my pups after my dogsitter cancelled. I was unable to meet her but she graciously met my best friend to be introduced to Finn and Charlie. She played ball with them and gave them lots of snuggles as well as sent photos and stayed in communication with us while we were gone. Will be calling Sherry in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Egypt
Anna is such a kind person and you can tell she really cares about your animals. In addition to doing an incredible job taking care of my dogs; she communicated so well, sent me tons of pictures and made everything so easy! When I got home not only were my dogs clean and happy; the house was clean! I would recommend Anna looking for a great caring person to take care of their pets!

Adriana did a fantastic job caring for my dogs. This was a challenging assignment because my dogs are very high energy and it rained quite a bit while she was sitting. I came home to a spotless home and clean happy dogs. Towels to dry the dogs were washed and folded as were the bed sheets. I couldn't be happier with the service she provided. I will certainly use her again and recommend her to others.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Egypt on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 2,653 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Egypt. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Egypt walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Egypt maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Egypt choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Egypt. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
