About: Hi there! I’m Kaleigh, a lifelong animal lover with 20 of experience caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. I’m also a nurse—which means safety, attentiveness, and calm under pressure are second nature to me. I’ve rescued all of my pets literally from the street, so helping them heal both physically and emotionally has taught me patience, empathy, and how to meet each animal where they are. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets in all stages of life—from bottle-feeding 3-week-old puppies to providing round-the-clock comfort and medication for beloved senior dogs in their final days. I’ve trained my own animals, managed special diets, and navigated unique quirks. My goal is to keep everyone happy, healthy, and stress-free💛 I love all the animals like my own because it is exactly how I would want my pets to be treated! I'm currently working as a registered nurse, but on my days off, I'm home with my three dogs and cat 🐾 My schedule fluctuates, so please get in touch about a plan, but I can also take same-day requests pending the day. If you’re looking for doggy daycare or overnight stays, my home features a large, fully fenced backyard with plenty of shade—perfect for safe play and fresh air. Dogs have access to indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day and are never left alone for more than 2–3 hours at a time. I’m very mindful of weather conditions, so dogs are never left outside in the heat, but we do have a doggie pool and sprinklers if they like water play ☀️ My home is equipped with kennels, gates, cozy blankets, and a variety of toys to keep your pet comfortable and entertained. For drop-in visits, just let me know your pet’s preferences! I usually walk my dogs for at least 30 minutes daily, and I plan to give your furry friend the same care unless you specify otherwise. I’m also happy to feed and administer medications as needed. Feel free to reach out and share your pet’s needs—I’m happy to accommodate and provide the care your pet deserves!
About: I have been caring for pets for the better part of my life, both my own and others. As a dog parent myself, former cat parent and all around animal lover, your pets comfort and well being is my top priority. After being laid off some time ago, I’m a full time job seeker and part time substitute teacher. As such, my availability is fairly flexible for dog walking and in-home care for your dogs and cats. While caring for your pets in the safety of their home, I am committed to keeping as close to their normal daily routine as possible.
“Myrna is the first dog walker we used on Rover and has been such a great experience for us and our dog. I trusted her immediately to take care of our girl and she really goes above and beyond. Would rebook!”

“This was our second booking and Haley was great. She's very attentive, responsive, and conscientious. Her flexibility and great communication skills makes you feel more comfortable leaving your pet in great hands.”

“Delys did such a great job with both of my girls! She sent many pictures and gave great updates during her visits. I felt very comfortable leaving both my dogs in her care.”

“Zixin has been fantastic walking and playing either my pups every day. He has been completely reliable and trustworthy while I’m at work and he takes care of my pups so they are happy and pottied in the middle of the day.”

About: I've been caring for dogs & cats for several years, in addition to always having my own dogs & cats (and betas, tropical fish, hamsters and birds!) I love animals and I enjoy making them comfortable when their people are away. I do pet care/drop-in visits, full-time, so I am available 7 days a week for multiple visits per day. I rarely take time off & keep my schedule as full as possible! My yard is fenced in. I have three dogs and one cat to keep your pet company, but I also have the option to segregate them in the house as needed. All animals are initially kept in one half of the house (with me), away from my dogs until they get acclimated. All meals are provided in separate, gated rooms to avoid any food squabbles. I maintain my "Cat & Dog First Aid" certification through the American Red Cross.

I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and needs, including shy or anxious pets who need time to warm up, high-energy dogs who need movement and play, and senior pets who benefit from gentle, slower-paced care. I’m also comfortable following detailed care routines and instructions to help keep your pet healthy and comfortable. During visits I provide: • Safe walks tailored to your dog’s energy level • Feeding, fresh water, and potty breaks • Playtime and enrichment to prevent boredom • Senior pet support and patience with mobility needs • Lots of affection and companionship • Detailed updates with photos after every visit I’m very respectful of your home, punctual, and committed to making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I can often accommodate same-day requests with a little notice, and I keep my schedule intentionally open so I can give each pet plenty of time, attention, and unhurried care during visits and walks. For drop-in visits and walks, safety and routine are my top priorities. I double-check doors, gates, and locks, and I always ensure pets are secure before leaving your home. I move at your pet’s comfort level and pay close attention to behavior, energy, and safety during walks. I avoid unsafe weather conditions, hot pavement, and crowded areas when needed. While I don’t offer boarding, I do have two friendly senior dogs (a poodle, 16yo, and a yorkie, 9yo), which has given me valuable experience with gentle handling, slower walks, and senior pet care. My goal is always to help your pet feel calm, safe, and cared for while you’re away.
About: Hi, I’m Lexe, a data analyst by profession and a lifelong animal lover at heart. Growing up in a home filled with pets, I was lucky to never have to worry about who would care for them when we were away—it was always someone who treated them like family. That experience inspired me to offer the same peace of mind to others. I care for all animals as if they were my own—giving them the love, attention, and care they need to feel safe and happy while you're away. Whether it's a walk, a drop-in, or overnight care, you can trust that your pet is in responsible and loving hands. Let me help take the stress out of leaving your furry family members behind! Working from home gives me the flexibility to make lunch time walks or check ins. I am also available on weekends for walks and check ins. I care for pets in their home as their owners would. Weathers that’s exercising, spending time with them, administering medication, etc. I want to keep the pets on their normal schedule.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Egypt
I plan to request Zixin in the future to help with our German Shepherd. He communicated quickly and clearly. The photos he sent were great! He even showed a close-up of my dog‘s very clean paws after coming in from a wet and muddy day. And our dog received a lot of exercise, which was what she needed.
Samantha was amazing! My pup Mystic is extremely happy in the photos she sent over. She responds in a timely manner. Showed up right on time and made sure Mystic had a full bowl of freshwater and a nice treat before she left. I couldn’t be happier and will definitely be booking with Samantha again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
