“Delys did such a great job with both of my girls! She sent many pictures and gave great updates during her visits. I felt very comfortable leaving both my dogs in her care.”

“Myrna is the first dog walker we used on Rover and has been such a great experience for us and our dog. I trusted her immediately to take care of our girl and she really goes above and beyond. Would rebook!”

About: What sets me apart is the amount of patience, attention, and genuine care I give to every pet I watch. I understand that every animal has a different personality and routine, so I always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I have experience caring for puppies and kittens, including helping maintain feeding schedules, potty routines, crate training, and providing extra supervision and playtime. I’m also attentive to senior pets who may need a calmer environment, slower walks, medication reminders, or extra comfort and patience. I’m reliable, communicative, and treat every pet like they’re my own. I have open availability throughout the week, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, care, and supervision. I’m flexible with scheduling and can accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits when needed. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I always make sure pets receive the time, exercise, play, and affection they deserve while their owners are away. Creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for pets is very important to me. I always follow each pet owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, medications, and routines. I pay close attention to pets’ behavior and comfort levels to make sure they feel secure and cared for at all times. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I keep the environment clean, calm, and pet-friendly while giving them plenty of love, patience, and attention.
About: Hi, I’m Lexe, a data analyst by profession and a lifelong animal lover at heart. Growing up in a home filled with pets, I was lucky to never have to worry about who would care for them when we were away—it was always someone who treated them like family. That experience inspired me to offer the same peace of mind to others. I care for all animals as if they were my own—giving them the love, attention, and care they need to feel safe and happy while you're away. Whether it's a walk, a drop-in, or overnight care, you can trust that your pet is in responsible and loving hands. Let me help take the stress out of leaving your furry family members behind! Working from home gives me the flexibility to make lunch time walks or check ins. I am also available on weekends for walks and check ins. I care for pets in their home as their owners would. Weathers that’s exercising, spending time with them, administering medication, etc. I want to keep the pets on their normal schedule.
About: I’ve cared for &/or lived with a little bit of everything (bunnies, ferrets, turtles, cows, hamsters, chickens, dogs, cats & parrots) at one time in my life or another & I’m very active in the exotic bird rescue community. I have many references as I sit regularly for quite a few families but am new to using this app—I look forward to meeting you (& your ‘fids’) soon! I work from home a few days a week so please reach out for specific availability. Thank you! :) I am able to stay the night or visit multiple times a day while you and your family are away from home & I promise to treat your home and your “fids” (Furry/Feathered Kids) as my own 😉. My hybrid work schedule is flexible and I’m off on weekends so feel free to reach out for specific availability. Depending on location, I am able to stay the night or visit multiple times a day while you and your family are away from home if needs be. I promise to treat your home and your “fids” (Furry/Feathered Kids) as my own 😉. I promise to carefully watch & be with your pet at all times when outside and correctly follow all pet parent instructions when inside your home with your pet.
“Zixin has been fantastic walking and playing either my pups every day. He has been completely reliable and trustworthy while I’m at work and he takes care of my pups so they are happy and pottied in the middle of the day.”

About: Hi! I'm Gwen, a college student home for the summer and ready to take care of your furry friends. I am a dog and cat owner myself, so I am well experienced in the needs of your animals. I am fun, active, and can take your pets on walks short or long and easy or adventurous! I have experience in travel nannying for children under 10, (pretty similar to pets if you ask me), and have done overnight house sitting for many different clients. If you need someone on a whim to be there for your furry friends, I'm the right gal! I currently do Rover full time as I love taking care of animals! I am super duper flexible and can always make my schedule work! I always stay as long as needed to make sure your animals are properly cared for and comfortable! I have all the patience in the world when it comes to your pet's needs!
About: I have been caring for pets for the better part of my life, both my own and others. As a dog parent myself, former cat parent and all around animal lover, your pets comfort and well being is my top priority. After being laid off some time ago, I’m a full time job seeker and part time substitute teacher. As such, my availability is fairly flexible for dog walking and in-home care for your dogs and cats. While caring for your pets in the safety of their home, I am committed to keeping as close to their normal daily routine as possible.
About: Ever since I was really little I’ve been around animals. First my Mom and I cleaned cages at PetSmart before I started kindergarten. Then for most of my childhood we volunteered at our local animal shelter. We would walk the animals, help in the clinic, clean cages, and do laundry. I always had at least one dog or cat growing up. Now, I just walk my family friends dogs when they need it! My boyfriend and I have a dog of your own so pet care is already embedded into my routine. I start and end the day with a long walk and try to sprinkle in a few other walks here and there. I have a fenced in back yard which allows for safe play time and I also live in a very large walkable neighborhood. I plan to follow all clients precautions and rules when caring for their pets.
About: As a daughter, mother and grandmother, I have taken care of family and pets most of my adult life. As an employee of 2 school districts, I have worked with special needs students. As a "Retiree", I now have even more time and energy to continue my natural inclination to nurture. Although my own pet is small, I babysit my son's German Shepherd frequently. I have helped my precious neighbors with their pets and critters as well. I am a Christian who is grateful for my family, health and all that I have been blessed with. I am now retired so I have even more time to play with, walk, hug and snuggle with my pet. When I am not substituting for local schools, I would love to have the additional companionship of another pet. I care deeply about dogs and really do consider them family. My personal pet, Aiva, a small female, is walked every day. She receives the best Vet care and diet (I do spoil her) She is a rescue and has been such a blessing. I have only boarded her one time and did not like how it affected her and so I do understand how important a loving, nurturing, and natural home-like environment is.

About: Hi there! I’m Kaleigh, a lifelong animal lover with 20 of experience caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. I’m also a nurse—which means safety, attentiveness, and calm under pressure are second nature to me. I’ve rescued all of my pets literally from the street, so helping them heal both physically and emotionally has taught me patience, empathy, and how to meet each animal where they are. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets in all stages of life—from bottle-feeding 3-week-old puppies to providing round-the-clock comfort and medication for beloved senior dogs in their final days. I’ve trained my own animals, managed special diets, and navigated unique quirks. My goal is to keep everyone happy, healthy, and stress-free💛 I love all the animals like my own because it is exactly how I would want my pets to be treated! I'm currently working as a registered nurse, but on my days off, I'm home with my three dogs and cat 🐾 My schedule fluctuates, so please get in touch about a plan, but I can also take same-day requests pending the day. If you’re looking for doggy daycare or overnight stays, my home features a large, fully fenced backyard with plenty of shade—perfect for safe play and fresh air. Dogs have access to indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day and are never left alone for more than 2–3 hours at a time. I’m very mindful of weather conditions, so dogs are never left outside in the heat, but we do have a doggie pool and sprinklers if they like water play ☀️ My home is equipped with kennels, gates, cozy blankets, and a variety of toys to keep your pet comfortable and entertained. For drop-in visits, just let me know your pet’s preferences! I usually walk my dogs for at least 30 minutes daily, and I plan to give your furry friend the same care unless you specify otherwise. I’m also happy to feed and administer medications as needed. Feel free to reach out and share your pet’s needs—I’m happy to accommodate and provide the care your pet deserves!
About: I've been caring for dogs & cats for several years, in addition to always having my own dogs & cats (and betas, tropical fish, hamsters and birds!) I love animals and I enjoy making them comfortable when their people are away. I do pet care/drop-in visits, full-time, so I am available 7 days a week for multiple visits per day. I rarely take time off & keep my schedule as full as possible! My yard is fenced in. I have three dogs and one cat to keep your pet company, but I also have the option to segregate them in the house as needed. All animals are initially kept in one half of the house (with me), away from my dogs until they get acclimated. All meals are provided in separate, gated rooms to avoid any food squabbles. I maintain my "Cat & Dog First Aid" certification through the American Red Cross.
About: I’ve taken care of pets of every kind since I was 12. Over the years, I’ve dog sat for neighbors, friends, and family members, caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I also volunteer at an animal shelter, where I’ve gained experience working with animals that may be shy, energetic, or need extra patience and attention. In addition to pet care, I’ve worked at a horse barn and have experience around larger animals as well. I am also First Aid certified, so safety and attentiveness (yes, even for animals!) are always important to me. I genuinely love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I'm currently in college as well as working part-time, so Fridays-Sundays I am completely free to your pets needs, as well as most days after 1:00 P.M., though I can stop by before my classes begin early in the A.M. My schedule varies, so we can work out details through messaging! I always try to make pets feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible by sticking closely to their normal routine. I'm sure to make certain your fur babies have plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, fresh water, and a safe environment at all times. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs, since some animals love lots of activity while others need a calmer and quieter approach. Safety is very important to me, so I am careful during walks, outdoor time, feeding, and interactions with other animals. I also make sure owners receive updates and photos so they can feel reassured while they’re away. My goal is always to create a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where pets feel happy and cared for.

“I am from out of town and needed a dog walker while I was working. Lauren had the best reviews and most repeat clients. She was so sweet and even suggested a meet up with my dogs and I the day before I needed her to walk them. I felt very comfortable leaving them in her hands!”

I plan to request Zixin in the future to help with our German Shepherd. He communicated quickly and clearly. The photos he sent were great! He even showed a close-up of my dog‘s very clean paws after coming in from a wet and muddy day. And our dog received a lot of exercise, which was what she needed.
Samantha was amazing! My pup Mystic is extremely happy in the photos she sent over. She responds in a timely manner. Showed up right on time and made sure Mystic had a full bowl of freshwater and a nice treat before she left. I couldn’t be happier and will definitely be booking with Samantha again!

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
