About: I have taken care of animals for a long time. My friends and family have relied on me to care for their pets when they need it. I always send pictures and updates to the owner to let them know their pet(s) are okay and communicate if there are any issues. I take their comfort and security serious. I truly enjoy caring for them and believe that complete transparency is needed to build a good bond and trust with your pet(s) and with you as the owner. I have to go downtown Houston on Wednesdays for my classes since I am a student. But the entire week with the exception of Wednesdays I am free. I live in a fenced house with my 10 year old dog. She is a mini bichon (she is spayed) to keep your furry baby company. I am comfortable with dogs getting on the beds and furniture, so I don’t crate them unless I am asked to. I always ask the owners about their pets usual schedule and accommodate to them as best I can, no matter how early or late. When walking them or taking them to the park, I always carry poppy bags, water and wipes to clean their paws. I am also very careful with other animal interactions, I understand that dogs and cats have different personalities, some more gentle than others. I would like to assure your pets safety and comfort. It is a must to have them on a leash when walking them, and will do so in times when the concrete will not burn their paws. When it comes to food, I need to be told about schedules and should your pet have any allergies, I need to know beforehand. The owner should have their food ready, whether I take care of their pet in my house or in the clients home. I need the owners phone number and/or email to always let them know how their pet is doing with photo proof. I love to keep the communication with the owner because I am a dog owner myself, so I understand leaving them in the care of someone else can be stressful, and having constant updates is essential.

About: From newborn puppies to sugar faced seniors, I have taken care of all fur babies! Age is just a number and I love them all! I care for pups of all sizes and ages. Administering medicine, staying on a routine, exercise, playtime, or even cuddle time is essential and I have cared for all no matter the needs. I am currently an elementary special education teacher, but I am available Friday evenings and weekends! I have always loved taking care of dogs and cats since I was little! I meet your pup where they are. If all we need is a bathroom break, that is perfectly okay. If we need a long walk and play time or just sunbathing outside that is perfect as well! I am very flexible and strive to provide your fur baby with what they need in order for them to be happy, healthy, and comfortable!

About: I got my first pet when I was 14, I had adopted him from a humane society when he was 3 years old! In the time I had him I had to learn what unconditional love was, what patience really means, and what responsibility is. He was an amazing dog and I learned so much from the time I was able to care for him. For four years I got to learn what taking care of a dog entailed and was always taking the opportunity to learn what I could always do better. I had to rehome my best bud in September of 2022, but I will forever hold that unconditional love and time I got to spend with him in my heart. I currently have 2 animals as of 2025! One is a handsome pitbull mix named Max and the other is my handsome cat named Ozzy. They are my pride and joy! I’ve learned so much since moving to Texas and adopting both from a Humane Shelter in Houston. I work full time at a hospital in the Woodlands area so 4/7 days of the week I am typically free! On days I do have blocked off on my schedule I can be available for a drop in or walk after 7pm! I am always on the lookout for potential dangers or surroundings, safety is the utmost important to me with animals and people. Stay safe always

About: Hi, I’m Dominique. I run Paws Please, a small, local dog walking service providing dependable dog walks and drop-in visits for people with busy schedules, short or long term disabilities, or anyone who needs me-time in The Woodlands, Spring, and nearby Conroe areas. I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have experience caring for breeds including Maltese, Schnauzer, and Shiba Inus through different life stages, from puppies to senior dogs. Spending time with dogs has always brought me a sense of calm, and I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pet. My approach is patient, attentive, and relaxed. I believe walks should give dogs time to safely explore, sniff, decompress, and stay active while maintaining a consistent routine. 🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I currently offer weekday dog walks and drop-in visits between 11 AM and 3 PM, allowing me to stay organized, attentive, and consistent with each client. I follow each client’s care instructions carefully, prioritize secure walks and safe neighborhood routes, and do not offer group walks with dogs from different households, allowing for more focused, attentive care and a calmer experience for your pet. I’m fully insured and take pet safety seriously. Also, I provide thoughtful updates and photos so you can feel connected and at ease while your pet is in my care.

About: Hi! My name is Carmen Sofia, but I go by Sofia. Along with my mom Brenda and my younger sister Fatima, we’re a caring and reliable team of pet lovers who truly enjoy spending time with animals. We’ve had experience caring for Golden Retrievers, Poodles, Yorkies, and Pomeranians. At home, we have two guinea pigs (ages 5 and 4), and we’ve also helped care for my aunt’s cat, so we’re comfortable with different types of pets and personalities. We offer drop-in visits and dog walking, and we love keeping pets happy and engaged through playtime, belly rubs, light grooming, and lots of attention! Spending time with animals is very therapeutic for us, and we treat every pet like family. Our goal is always to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away 🥰 I’m currently studying online and working as a travel agent, so my schedule is very flexible. About: I have experience taking many dogs on walks and around town through volunteering with animal shelters and my own pets. I am not afraid of larger dogs and I have experience with both large and small dogs. I am available Friday-Sunday to dog sit in the Houston/Woodlands area and Monday-Wednesday in the college station Bryan area in the afternoon. I have experience with many different sized Dogs from my own pets which ranged from a small miniature dachshund to a large Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. Aswell as experience with other animals through volunteering with local animal shelters by doing dog walks and “doggie day outs” to help socialize the dogs and give them time out of the shelter. Whether I am with my own Dogs or a shelter dog I always give them lots of attention and love and I make sure to have close attention to detail on the feeding and potty schedule.

About: I would love the opportunity to take care of your furry family members! I enjoy spending time with dogs of all sizes and personalities. My daughter started caring for neighborhood pets several years ago, and when she left for the Navy, I happily continued helping many of the same families. Pet care has become something I truly enjoy. We currently have one friendly male dogs of our own medium sized. Our home has a large, dog-friendly backyard that’s almost like a private dog park, with plenty of space for running and playing. Neighborhood dogs often come over for playdates, and it’s a very friendly and welcoming environment.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
