Riley was perfect with Juju!!! I will definitely continue to book with her! I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for my cat while I was away for a week. I appreciate how much attention and love she gave him. They listened to music, played a lot, and she was very mindful of his body language. She truly has a gift!!! I loved her updates, photos, and videos. I can tell my sweet boy loved her too! And she did such a great job with making sure everything was good and secure with the house. I highly recommend booking with Riley!!!

Shelly was wonderful and patient with my 2 cats that were being very shy after their move into the new house. By the end of my trip Shelly had made friends with both kitties. She also watered my garden and even brought in a package that got delivered. Would definitely recommend her.

Jadyn was absolutely amazing with our pups. She was very flexible, and always showed up on time or even before she was asked to be there. Our elderly dog is pretty specific about who he lets come around him, and it seems like he had a good time with Jadyn!😁Will definitely be using her again, thank you for a wonderful experience Jadyn🫶🏻

I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to work with your pet’s normal routine to keep them comfortable and happy. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. About: I’ve worked with and owned many different breeds of dogs, along with cats and reptiles etc. I love all animals and have helped with a family member’s boarding facility over the past few years. As I currently have a work from home job, I’m easily able to care for and play with all of the furry babies as they need it! I have a fenced in yard with a lock, and make sure to sure keep all things put away that your four legged baby might not need to have access to.

Alissa was very good with our Rex. This was our first time leaving our baby and she was very accommodating to our concerns. She could immediately tell our sweet boy was sad we left him and she went out of her way to make sure our boy was happy, comfortable and loved! We will definitely be using Alissa again!

About: I provide loving, structured home boarding for dogs of all sizes — including large and high-energy breeds. I’m confident handling strong personalities and understand that some dogs just need patience, consistency, and someone who isn’t intimidated by them. My home is calm, safe, and supervised. I pay close attention to each dog’s routine, energy level, and comfort. Whether your dog loves to play or prefers a quiet space to relax, I adjust to their needs. I have 6 years of experience with high drive breeds including, malinois, Dutch shepherd, German shepherds, Great Danes, huskies, cane Corsica and many more. I currently have 3 dogs right now. A Belgian malinois, Dutch shepherd, and mini Australian shepherd. I treat every dog like my own and prioritize safety, clear boundaries, and lots of affection. I work from home. I usually have an early start, work for about 2 hours. Then after 8am it’s all dogs! (Or kitty’s) I have 14 acres of fun! A quiet neighborhood for walks aswell. I’m available almost any day, anytime. I’m extremely flexible as I make my own schedule! I have a fenced yard, with 3 friendly dogs. My dogs are crate trained and can be crated if necessary:). I’m very attentive and in tune with dog behavior and communication skills.

About: I stand out because I have real, hands-on experience with all kinds of pets. I have six pets of my own (three dogs and three cats) that I’ve cared for since they were babies, so I truly understand daily pet care, routines, and responsibility. I’ve also been dog sitting for neighbors since I was 13, which has given me years of experience with different personalities and needs. I’ve worked with mean dogs, anxious dogs, and super energetic dogs, so I know how to stay calm, patient, and adjust my approach to each animal. Right now, I’m caring for my elderly blue heeler, so I’m especially comfortable with senior care, including slower walks, medications, and extra attention. I also have experience caring for puppies and helping them adjust to routines. Overall, I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely love animals. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Pet care fits really well into my schedule. I’m a full-time college student in the Price College of Business at OU, and my classes usually end in the early afternoon, which gives me plenty of availability for pet care during the day. I also teach cheer and tumbling lessons part-time, but those are scheduled and flexible, so I’m able to plan around them. Because of this, I have consistent time for walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and overnight care. I’m very organized with my schedule and make sure each pet gets the attention and care they need. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy, so I prioritize it and fit it naturally into my daily routine. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I prioritize safety, trust, and keeping their routine the same. I carefully follow all instructions given by the owner, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, and any special needs. I make sure doors, gates, and crates are always secure and that pets are supervised and safe at all times. I respect the home by keeping everything clean and organized, and I’m mindful of each pet’s comfort and boundaries. I pay close attention to behavior and body language, especially for anxious or senior pets, and adjust my care to meet their needs. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection so they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I treat both pets and homes with care and respect, and I always aim to create a calm, safe environment where pets feel relaxed and well cared for.

About: I have loved animals all my life I’ve done volunteering at shelters, have done residency at zoos, graduated with a veterinary technician degree and worked as a veterinary technician for a year and a half! I have 4 furbabies of my own that I love dearly! I work full time but am able to do drop in visits at lunch. I am always off every weekend and usually get off work around noon on fridays. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Karen. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
