About: I have been taking care of pets for family members and friends for over 5 years now. It started when a friend had an emergency out of town and needed help. It was a pleasure to sit in and feed, play, and send goofy pictures of my friend’s dog to provide ease and comfort during a hard time. I work full time and that means my cats are fed on a routine. They require a special diet that requires portioned meals and time to play. I have an active pet cam that I am able to use to talk to them when I am not home to provide comfort and time dispensers for treats. I will abide by your routine and follow directive on when to feed, when to walk, and when to provide or administer medication. Only you know your companion best and in order to provide safety and structure, as your care-taker it would be a privilege to honor your schedule and routine.

“Shelly is an absolute amazing petsitter! She is always there right on time and let’s us know how our pets are doing. She is very dependable and caring. It is so reassuring to know they are receiving love and care which we are out of town!!”
“We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Brooke. We knew immediately upon meeting her that our pups were gonna be in good hands. I appreciated the updates after every visit and the pictures were a great bonus! We will definitely use Rover AND Brooke again!”

“Jadyn was great with Roxie and Daisy. She arrived a few minutes early (to me; on time is late) and had time for a quick chat before my husband and I needed to leave. We came home to calm pets. They hardly knew we left.”

“Lauren has taken care of my cat several times and she is always amazing! During my last trip, my cat finished 2 days worth of food in less than 24 hours and Lauren went to my house to give my cat more food on a day she wasn't even scheduled. She's so flexible and responsive and my cat loves her!”

“We were apprehensive about having a stranger in our home when we weren’t home. But we needed an extra option for pet care when we go away. My neighbor suggested Rover. Lauren was our first choice and we couldn’t be happier. We love that she lives close by and has a few dogs herself. She knew what my dog needed. Even when our Rizzo had some anxiety. Lauren instinctively gave the care and love our dog needed. We are grateful for this experience with Lauren and she is officially our new dog sitter.”

“I needed somebody to go to my house and take care of my cats since my trip out of state got extended and Alexandria was very prompt with her responses, followed instructions very well, and got my babies taken care of! I would absolutely trust her in my house and with my babies again!”

About: I’m always looking for an excuse to get my steps in, and spending time with pets is the perfect way to do it! Growing up, our home never felt complete without a couple of cats and dogs running around. Caring for animals has always been part of my everyday life, so making sure your furry family members feel safe, loved, and well cared for comes naturally to me. I’m very flexible with my schedule since I’m currently freelancing and enrolled in online school. I’m available Monday- Friday and some weekends; holidays may vary. My dogs always loved spending time in our fenced backyard, so I know how important it is for pups to get plenty of exercise and playtime. Whether it's neighborhood walks, a trip to the dog park, or simply letting them run around in a secure backyard, I'm happy to keep them active and entertained. If your dog needs a little extra care, like a bath or light grooming, I'm happy to help—just let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly. For everyone's safety, I only accept dogs that are potty trained and non-aggressive. If your dog has any behavioral quirks or special needs, please let me know before booking so I can make sure we're a great fit!

About: I stand out because I have real, hands-on experience with all kinds of pets. I have six pets of my own (three dogs and three cats) that I’ve cared for since they were babies, so I truly understand daily pet care, routines, and responsibility. I’ve also been dog sitting for neighbors since I was 13, which has given me years of experience with different personalities and needs. I’ve worked with mean dogs, anxious dogs, and super energetic dogs, so I know how to stay calm, patient, and adjust my approach to each animal. Right now, I’m caring for my elderly blue heeler, so I’m especially comfortable with senior care, including slower walks, medications, and extra attention. I also have experience caring for puppies and helping them adjust to routines. Overall, I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely love animals. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Pet care fits really well into my schedule. I’m a full-time college student in the Price College of Business at OU, and my classes usually end in the early afternoon, which gives me plenty of availability for pet care during the day. I also teach cheer and tumbling lessons part-time, but those are scheduled and flexible, so I’m able to plan around them. Because of this, I have consistent time for walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and overnight care. I’m very organized with my schedule and make sure each pet gets the attention and care they need. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy, so I prioritize it and fit it naturally into my daily routine. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I prioritize safety, trust, and keeping their routine the same. I carefully follow all instructions given by the owner, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, and any special needs. I make sure doors, gates, and crates are always secure and that pets are supervised and safe at all times. I respect the home by keeping everything clean and organized, and I’m mindful of each pet’s comfort and boundaries. I pay close attention to behavior and body language, especially for anxious or senior pets, and adjust my care to meet their needs. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection so they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I treat both pets and homes with care and respect, and I always aim to create a calm, safe environment where pets feel relaxed and well cared for.
“Alissa was very good with our Rex. This was our first time leaving our baby and she was very accommodating to our concerns. She could immediately tell our sweet boy was sad we left him and she went out of her way to make sure our boy was happy, comfortable and loved! We will definitely be using Alissa again!”

About: I used to dogsit when I lived in LA and that’s when I fell in love with the “pitbull” breed. My dogs are my children and I will treat yours just the same. I work fully remote and have a very flexible schedule. My morning usually consists of walking/running my dogs 2 miles and then preparing for the day. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
