“Third time our puppies stay with Rhondarose! I feel I can enjoy my trips because I know my two goldens are in good hands. I love all the pictures I get and the daily check in message. They look like they are having a blast with her.”

About: I have cared for both small and large animals for over 21 years. Your pet will be staying with a very loving, responsible, and respectful family I work from home so someone is home all day every day. I also have a fenced yard for your dog to roam and go out as needed. I provide meals according to owner's instructions and clean up as needed. Also actively partake in play and exercise for the pets which I genuinely enjoy doing.
“I was very anxious about leaving my girls while I was on vacation. But Thomas and Kelly took great care of them and sent lots of pictures to ease my mind. I was able to enjoy my vacation much more since I knew my girls were in good hands.”

“Soojin is an amazing doggy sitter! My pup Toby loved her so much, the next time I brought him to stay with her he was practically jumping out of the car window to jump in her arms. She truly loves dogs and caring for them and will treat your pup as if it's her own. 10/10! Will absolutely bring Toby back to stay with her when I need a sitter.”

“This was our first time boarding with Cindy and we couldn't have been more pleased. Cindy is super nice, shared lots of photos and updates with us, and has an amazing, big, fenced-in backyard that allowed our dog to explore and walk around in safely. Cindy took the time to have a nice meet and greet with us before we decided to board our dog with her, and to make sure our pup got along with her dog Coco, who is super sweet and very easy going. They got along great! 5/5 would recommend and book again!”

“Jae and her family were amazing to my sweet puppy. I could not have asked for a better family to take care of my dog; we felt absolutely blessed to have such a perfect home when we were gone. The entire family treated her like she was part of the family, and I always felt comforted on my vacation to receive pictures of my dog enjoying her days with her interim family. I will absolutely only use Jae now. And our dogs have become great friends too, so what an incredible bonus!”

“Julia helped us with a last minute weekend stay for our senior dog. She sent daily pictures with updates about how he was doing. She’s had a senior dog herself and was familiar with his medicine and was able to give the pills without a problem. Her home had no stairs, which was perfect for our dog since he has arthritis. She lives in a beautiful, quiet, safe neighborhood with minimal traffic and sidewalks perfect for walks.”

“Norman’s stay with Naomi and Johann went off without a hitch. He felt at home with them and got along well with Milo. We enjoyed receiving the regular updates and pictures they sent as well!”

“Jayne was amazing - definitely the best caretaker I have worked with thus far. Gumbo absolutely loved her and it showed through in all the pictures she sent me (major plus as it makes me feel more secure with being away). Jayne really went above and beyond - taking notes when I was going over his daily routine and even helping me carry back all his supplies at the end of the day. We will definitely be using her going forward and would highly recommend her to other users in the midtown east area. Thanks for everything Jayne!!”

“Wilma and her family were amazing with Guy! He looked very happy when we picked him up. We know he was well taken care of. We hope to be able to have Guy visit them again soon.”

“We couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing care Deidre gave our two dogs while we were away for the week. From the moment we dropped them off, it was clear she genuinely cared about their comfort and well-being. She treated them like her own, making sure they felt completely at home in her space. Throughout the week, she kept us updated with regular photos and messages, which really helped us relax and enjoy our time away knowing they were in such good hands. The dogs looked so happy and relaxed in every picture—it was obvious they were getting lots of love and attention. We highly recommend Deidre to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and responsible pet sitter. We’ll definitely be reaching out to her again in the future!”

“scott took great care of our dog overnght at his lovely home while we took a brief but much need vacation. our dog was very comforable and scott provided regular updates and pics as requested!”

“Great experience leaving our girl with Noor and her family overnight after our pet care fell through somewhat last minute. I got frequent updates and photos, and I felt Theia was well cared for. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thanks!”

“I wish I could give Lori 10 stars as she took such great care of our golden retriever Buddy this past weekend! Lori was so flexible on drop off/pick up times and made sure she sent pictures to show how happy Buddy was in her home. I would highly recommend her for your sitting needs. Buddy can’t wait to stay with her again. We are so lucky we found her through Rover! Thanks Lori!”

“My girls loved their stay with D'Artagnan. Our American bully gets super anxious and new environments and he and his girlfriend were perfect at helping her feel calm and relaxed. Nike was also a great playmate for both of them! We will definitely book with them again!”

“This was my first experience with Thao and everything went great. She was easy to work with and my dog Buck came home happier than the times he stayed in a kennel. Will definitely ask for her to watch him again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lincolnshire
Logan was an amazing pet sitter. She took care of our three cats for three days and two nights. Logan is very patient and nurturing with pets. She gave us daily updates and sent adorable pictures. She’s very responsible and is amazing with animals. We’d highly recommend her as a pet sitter.

We had a wonderful experience with Balaji. We needed a sitter for our two week international trip and were nervous because this was our one-year-old toy poodle's first time being away from us. From the very beginning, Balaji reassured us that our dog would be well cared for. He even offered a short trial stay at his home so our dog could become familiar with the environment before the boarding stay. During that two hour trial stay, Balaji sent us photos and videos, which gave us confidence that our dog was comfortable and in good hands. Throughout the two week boarding period, Balaji sent multiple photos and videos every day, allowing us to see that our dog was comfortable and receiving good care. He was also very responsive and replied to our messages very quickly. Knowing that our dog was in such caring hands made it much easier for us to enjoy our trip. We highly recommend Balaji to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
