About: I owned a cat for 16 years and most recently a dog for almost 16! Not ready for another of my own just yet, but missing the cuddles and walks! As a teacher I am back to work this week so will only be available on the weekends for the time being. Will update my availability as holidays and school breaks approach. My dog recently got his teeth removed, so I also learned how to take care of him and how to feed him properly with that in mind. I’ve also had to take care of both dogs when my parents are out of town, taking them outside, administering medication, and feeding and providing water for them. I have done the same for my grandparents. I love animals a lot, and I volunteered at animal shelters in high school and can properly care for and clean up after many pets.. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, loved, comfortable, and understood while you're away. I am someone who understands how hard it may be trusting a stranger to take care of your best friends while you're away. However, you can rest assured that with me, your pets will be treated as they are my own. When you entrust your pets to me, you can expect open communication during my time with your friends, receiving updates, photos, and videos to share with you how they are doing and all of the fun activities we’ll be up to! I am committed to maintaining normal routines and ensuring all needs are met. Your best friend is my best friend, and whether it’s feeding, exercise, or cuddle time, I am dedicated to providing the utmost of care, striving to leave your friends comfortable and fulfilled after every experience. Although I have no formal training in animal care, both my personal experiences and my background in Child Development as a Certified Child Life Specialist, has allowed me to collaborate with therapy dogs and children. This has helped me develop strong skills in reading behavior, building trust, staying patient, and creating safe, positive environments. Whether your dog is energetic and playful, shy and cautious, a senior who needs extra attention, or a puppy still learning the ropes, I adapt my care to their individual needs. Outside of my job and experiences with dogs and animals, I am someone who loves nature, my favorite animal (besides dogs) is a sloth, enjoy relaxing while painting, and attending EDM concerts (house music and dubstep is welcomed). I look forward to meeting you and working with your best friends in the future! With most bookings, given around or at least a 24 hour notice, I am generally flexible enough to have plenty of time for your friends, their specific needs, and even a little extra play time or good belly rubs! I am generally available from 8:00am until 9:00pm. At this time, I cannot offer in-home services, so all of my experiences with your best friends will take place in your home! I take pride in my trustworthiness, and understand the risks and apprehensions of having someone in your home. I do my best to give my full attention to your friends while being respectful of your space. Here as an idea of my general approach with most bookings. With any drop-in services, I will provide any needs requested (walks, let in yard, playtime, feeding, etc.), while ensuring no extra mess is left behind and your personal belongings and areas are untouched. For walking services, I will spend minimal time in your common areas, other than some greeting cuddles and a little post-walk playtime. For overnight boarding services, I will ensure the impact of my presence in your home will be minimal and will prioritize the routine of your pet. I will gladly abide by any wishes or other requests you have regarding my stay in your home, in addition to those surrounding your best friend. Please keep in mind, these routines are just my template! My experience with every pet is going to be different, and I am more than willing to adapt to the style that your friends are used to. I like to provide this as an insight to what you may expect as far as my presence in your home.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats for 35 years. I currently have a German Shepherd and a domestic short hair cat. I volunteer at the humane society socializing cats. I am retired and have time and love enough to care for your small dog or cat. We travel a bit but am available when in town. I’m available for drop in visits or overnights. About: I’ve taken care of different types of dogs since I was 14. I had a golden doodle pet of my own for 12 years. I have given injections and pills to dogs. I have been trusted to take care of dogs with epilepsy and diabetes. I have plenty of time to be with your animals. I love cuddling with them and won’t have a problem having them in my bed. I am from Riverwoods and it is soon to be my senior year in college but I have time off now. I also love being active and outside. I have no concerns about anxious dogs and I know they will warm up to me with time. I can crate your dog if needed. For extra outdoor time, I have a a zip line cord to connect to a collar that prevents them from going past a certain point in the backyard since we do not have a fenced in yard. They can roam around there.
