“I'm so happy I found Rachel! My Dante is doing better than expected and he's happy and energetic when I pick him up! His normal Texas sitter feeds him too many treats and plays him so hard, he is exhausted when I pick him up. I totally prefer his daycare now cause he has energy for his momma 😃. Thank you, Rachel! I can tell you he knows Peppa and Ocean by name cause he perks up when I tell him he's going to see them.”

“Teri is the best and I will always use her and have been for more than a year! Would not trust anyone else and I am extremely picky with who watches my child. Thank you Teri :)”
“Adrina is the best! She cared for my puppy so well and he did so good in her care! He went on a walk and played with her sweet dog, had so much fun and came home tired! She sent me plenty of pictures and updates, which was so great to see! We are big fans of her and will be back:)”

“Jen was great with my newly adopted shelter dog! I brought her to Jennifer’s house for doggy daycare M-F, and the two of them had a blast! I received tons of updates and pictures from walks, playing in the house, and naps. Jen even worked on improving her basic commands. Jen is extremely caring and truly loved my mutt, I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Evette and her sweet lab Lady made our fur babies feel right at home! They were so happy/relaxed/tired from playing all day when we picked them up! Evette was so professional and accommodating, easy to trust right away. She sent so many amazing updates and photos about their stay together! We will for sure be asking her for help again!”

“Brianna was absolutely amazing with Ashe! She was able to watch my dog very last minute and Brianna responded within minutes! I will be booking again l and highly recommend!”

“As usual Venus is a wonderful dog sitter. She took wonderful care of my dog making sure he socialized well with her dogs. Again, I would recommend her to anyone who wants their dog well taken care of.”

“Beverly was very accommodating to our schedule. Our puppy Bella had a delightful time playing with another dog. She was in good spirits when we picked her up and seemed to have enjoyed her stay. We would feel confident having her stay again with Beverly.”

“Julie + Brian are SO nice! Super sweet, kind, caring, and 100% dog lovers! Appreciate you and can’t thank you enough for taking such great care of my dog-ter!”

“Billy is such a sweet caregiver. He came through in a pinch when I needed a sitter, and I really appreciate him. He is such a warm person. He gave my doggy a fun evening outside.”

“Peter had a wonderful day with Autumn! She made sure he had plenty of walks and fun time outside, sent lots of picture updates and we so responsive! He even got to make friends with her two cats. I’ll definitely be rebooking with her! Thank you again :)”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for several years and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals of all personalities and energy levels. I have experience dog sitting and walking for friends, family, and other pet owners, including regularly caring for two bulldogs with different routines and needs. I also have experience caring for cats and a little bit of time with birds. My schedule is very flexible. I’m available for walks, drop in visits, and pet sitting during weekdays and weekends, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings in many cases. I’m patient with animals and understand that every pet has different energy levels and needs. I aim to create a calm, friendly, and trustworthy environment where pets feel safe, and cared for like family.
About: Home away from home level love. Expect expert level care, with lots of love, play and snuggles! I only take a few dogs at a time, so that it doesn't get too crowded and everyone gets plenty of attention. We take puppies, seniors, cats, dogs, guinea pigs...you name it! I work from home, so I am rarely away from the pups on weekdays. Drop off times are pretty flexible. Pick up time ends at 8pm. I love when I have conference calls at home and the dogs make a cameo appearance. It makes everyone's day! I have a nice fenced in yard with shady spots throughout. There is a pool that the dogs can swim in if they want. I also have security cameras inside so I can check in when we are not home. Dogs love our doggie door for the freedom to come and go.
“Amy was amazing. I always feel guilty leaving Piper with anyone but not this time. Amy sent pics throughout the day and treated Piper like she was her own fur baby. Thank you Amy for taking such great care of Piper! ❤️”

“Dian is fantastic. Responded quickly, made everything easy, and our pups loved each other. Nancy Drew didn't stop smiling from her big visit with Dian until she fell asleep. Will definitely use Dian again.”

About: Owned a dog growing up for 16 years and fostered dogs throughout college through Anicera. The dogs I fostered usually needed medical assistance each day such as treatment for Demodectic Mange and some had behavioral issues that I had to help them overcome before getting fostered. I currently work remote, from home. I live in a house with a fenced in backyard that has an in ground pool. We also have Sawgrass Park in our neighborhood! *** (Your dog is welcome to swim in the pool if owner allows it. Although the backyard is fenced in, I will never leave your dog outside unsupervised). *** I am extremely playful if the dog is too, but also gentle with older/shyer dogs. I will send daily updates with photos of how your dog is doing. ****Please let me know beforehand if your dog does not get along with other dogs.***

I had a last minute request (day before) for someone to watch my dog for a day because he recently injured his pads on all 4 feet and I needed to go to work but was not comfortable leaving him alone. At the time when Kathleen watched him, he was in a cone and on medication. When we talked beforehand, Kathleen was very kind and thoughtful, asking great questions and anticipating potential needs to make sure he would be safe and comfy in her care. While watching him, he ended up feeling a bit better than he had been in previous days and not as groggy from his medications, so was not as calm as I thought he would be for her, but she still did a great job of making sure he stayed safe and did not re-injure his feet. She provided updates at reasonable intervals without me having to ask and was very kind the entire time, even with me not knowing exactly what time I would be able to pick him up. Thanks so much to Kathleen, I would definitely trust her to watch my boy again.

Pamela was awesome! Petey had a great time with her and her cute pups. They went on walks and played in the yard and he came home tired and happy. She was flexible with my early morning drop off time and great with communication. Thank you so much for taking such good care of him!

Kayleigh was great! I highly recommend her. While visiting St. Pete with my dog I needed a sitter so I could enjoy the beach with friends. We first did a meet and greet where she made Apollo and I feel super comfortable. Her home and her family are lovely. I found her to be 100% trustworthy and responsive. I will definitely use her again when in the area.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lealman commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
