“Voici une version corrigée : Kierra was absolutely amazing with Lucky! She took such great care of her and kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that Lucky was happy, comfortable, and well loved while he was with her. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would definitely book with Kierra again. Thank you so much!”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life with my own fur baby. She is very friendly towards other animals and usually lets other dogs be more dominant. Live right next to a dog park and Willow would love to play with your dog there! I work from home so I am very flexible with care. Whether it’s walks, feeding, or play schedule,I am available to make it happen. Let me know what your preferences are. Willow is fed and walked in the morning and at night. Pets are allowed in the bed and on furniture. We frequent dog parks as she likes to play with other animals vs chase balls.
“Another great stay with Linda! Our Bella seems to be so happy with staying at Linda's, and we feel so happy to have found someone that is able to take great care of Bella with her medical needs and on such short notice. Thank you such much!”
“I'm so happy I found Rachel! My Dante is doing better than expected and he's happy and energetic when I pick him up! His normal Texas sitter feeds him too many treats and plays him so hard, he is exhausted when I pick him up. I totally prefer his daycare now cause he has energy for his momma 😃. Thank you, Rachel! I can tell you he knows Peppa and Ocean by name cause he perks up when I tell him he's going to see them.”

“Teri is the best and I will always use her and have been for more than a year! Would not trust anyone else and I am extremely picky with who watches my child. Thank you Teri :)”
“Marquita watched my puppy for a whole day and took such amazing care of her! Such a sweet person with a nice family! She also sent me great pictures and updates while I was out. I was so grateful to have a caring person to leave my very energetic little pup with. Marquita was an excellent communicator and I highly recommend her as a pet sitter!”

About: I am new here on Rover, however I have cared for other peoples dog for the past 5 years. I have experience watching dogs over night for weeks at a time, as well as doggy day care during the day. I’d love to set up a meet and greet if possible to make sure your dog and I are good fits. I work from home so I am home most of the time. I do run errands and may be gone a few hours at a time on the weekends. I have a fenced in yard where the pups have access to all day. Dogs are treated like ours.. spoiled :) We have a fenced in yard and 2 small dogs of our own. Please let me know if there is anything I need to know about your pet such as limits to playing/being outside.

About: I’m an experienced pet sitter and lifelong animal lover who has cared for both dogs and cats for many friends, family members and neighbors over the years. I’m also a dog mom to two large breeds, a Golden Retriever and a Husky, so I’m very comfortable with big dogs, strong personalities and higher-energy breeds. I work from home, which means your pet will have plenty of company, attention and potty breaks throughout the day instead of being left alone for long stretches. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine and comfort level, and I’m happy to follow the schedule and care instructions that help them feel most at home. I’m also comfortable caring for senior pets and animals who need medication or extra patience. One of my dogs has epilepsy, so I have experience giving daily medication, monitoring health needs and staying calm when a pet needs additional care. My three-bedroom home also gives me the flexibility to provide a separate, quiet space when needed, along with a white-noise machine to help pets settle in. Whether your pet wants walks, playtime, cuddles or space to decompress, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my everyday routine. I’m available throughout the day for regular potty breaks, meals, walks, playtime, medication and plenty of attention. My own dogs are already part of my daily schedule, so caring for an additional pet doesn’t feel like an interruption—it simply means one more animal to include in our routine. Because I’m home most of the day, pets won’t be left alone for long stretches. I can also adjust my schedule based on their normal routine, energy level and individual needs. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, I take introductions slowly and supervise interactions with my own dogs to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I have a three-bedroom home, so visiting pets can have their own quiet space if they need time to decompress, eat separately or simply relax away from the other animals. I also have a white-noise machine to help nervous pets settle in. I carefully follow each pet’s normal routine, feeding instructions, medication schedule and any household rules provided by their owner. I keep doors secure, monitor pets during outdoor time and never force interaction between animals. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with respect and make sure their pet receives consistent, attentive care in the environment where they feel most comfortable. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pet is safe, comfortable and well cared for.

“Christina was so great with my dog Molly. Molly is afraid of people and other dogs but Christina quickly had her relaxed and mingling with the other dogs. She sent me lots of pictures during her stay and I couldn’t believe it, she was happy and playing with the other dogs! Christina has a wonderful house and large lawn, and she is with the dogs all day. She keeps all the dogs relaxed and happy. It’s like a summer camp! Molly can’t wait to go back!”

About: I just moved to St pete and for the past three years I was working as an independent contractor for petwatchers LLC. I absolutely loved each and every pet that I worked with. I have worked with all kinds of pets and I am knowledgeable about feeding regiments, long walks in every single climate, overnight visits/ potty breaks, unfriendly animals, shy animals, super big and super tiny! Every visit includes a detailed report of what our visit consisted of and some pictures of your pet! I am good with administering medication and updating accordingly based on the clients needs. If you would like to set up a meeting to make sure I'm a good fit, feel free to reach out!! I am available 7 days a week and I do all kinds of pet sitting, whether that is walking, night/day, overnights, vacation visits, and anything else you need. I make sure that I understand the routine, guidelines and needs of the pet including safety concerns. I make sure I have the contacts and emergency just in case as well as create mutual trust with the owner.
“I highly recommend Debora. She watched my puppy for a couple hours and upon my return my puppy was learning to “leave it” and to calm down when other dogs are near (she gets super excited). Debora was very nice, super knowledgeable and my puppy loved her the second they met. 10/10”

“Adrina is the best! She cared for my puppy so well and he did so good in her care! He went on a walk and played with her sweet dog, had so much fun and came home tired! She sent me plenty of pictures and updates, which was so great to see! We are big fans of her and will be back:)”

“Jen was great with my newly adopted shelter dog! I brought her to Jennifer’s house for doggy daycare M-F, and the two of them had a blast! I received tons of updates and pictures from walks, playing in the house, and naps. Jen even worked on improving her basic commands. Jen is extremely caring and truly loved my mutt, I can’t recommend her enough!”

My fiancé and I work together to provide reliable, attentive care with flexible availability. We also offer drop-in walks at your residence for added flexibility and convenience.
“I had a last minute request (day before) for someone to watch my dog for a day because he recently injured his pads on all 4 feet and I needed to go to work but was not comfortable leaving him alone. At the time when Kathleen watched him, he was in a cone and on medication. When we talked beforehand, Kathleen was very kind and thoughtful, asking great questions and anticipating potential needs to make sure he would be safe and comfy in her care. While watching him, he ended up feeling a bit better than he had been in previous days and not as groggy from his medications, so was not as calm as I thought he would be for her, but she still did a great job of making sure he stayed safe and did not re-injure his feet. She provided updates at reasonable intervals without me having to ask and was very kind the entire time, even with me not knowing exactly what time I would be able to pick him up. Thanks so much to Kathleen, I would definitely trust her to watch my boy again.”

Emma and Josh saved me on a days notice; the care they provided was so wonderful (like a part of the family). Bandit had a great time; played hard and even rested some. The care and updates I was provided were great (and appreciated). I will be reaching out to them again.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
