“Rachel was great with my two girls (cats). One requires a med and is very shy. Rachel ensured she got her med daily as well as her treats. She sent plenty of photos and updates and left the house in great order. I’d certainly book Rachel again and/or recommend her for a sit.”

“My dog seemed so happy and comfortable when I got back, which tells me he was in great hands. I really appreciated the care, attention, and updates. I’d happily book again!”

“Maya did a great job taking care of my guinea pigs!! She came at a consistent time and sent really nice photos to show the whole routine. My girls were in good spirits when I got home. We will definitely use Maya's services again!”

“Samantha was fantastic with our dogs! Her communication was excellent, and we loved getting pictures and updates while we were away. She gave our dogs great care and attention, and it was clear they were happy and well looked after. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

“OMG, Alissandra is a life saver and went beyond our ask by taking care of our babies, but taking care of a major issue at the house with a large delivery that was delivered a day earlier. Alessandra stepped in and by herself brought inside the house more than 65 boxes of flooring. I cannot thank her enough for all she did and instead of stars, she should be getting diamonds. Thank You, Alissandra you are amazing and will be making additional doggie seatings with you and no one else. ❤️”

“Highly recommend using Teri, she was on time and took great care of my doggies. Thank you so much for you help and responsiveness. She also sent a ton of videos and photos which we loved”

About: I have volunteered for the Humane Society many times, and have the skills necessary for looking after dogs and cats. I know that each pet is special and unique, and with me, they get treated as such! I am pretty flexible with availability, although I work as a barista from the morning to early afternoon during some weekdays/weekends. Just let me know what works best for you and I will do my absolute best to work it out! I am working close to full-time hours as a lead barista at a local cafe in St. Pete, and I have been wanting to be a pet sitter with Rover on the side for quite some time! I have always had a passion for animals as someone who owns a cat, and would love to help people look after their pets. I make sure that my pet and yours is fed at their desired times, as well as getting enough mental stimulation with some playtime! I know that when the pet owner is not at home, pets start to feel some fear or boredom. It is my guarantee to change that and give them something to look forward to while their favorite person is away!

“Tihana was able to care for my cats on extremely short notice after our caretaker fell through after we were already out of the country on our honeymoon. I was completely panicked and she was very kind and understanding.”

Samantha was phenomenal with James. So many detailed updates and photos that I loved seeing when I was on my travels. I know Samantha took great care of my son with how we was acting when I got back home. I would not hesitate to book her for any pet sitting needs! She’s the best

Rebekah was the perfect cat sitter for my 3 kitty girls. They loved her right away! Her attention to detail, going above and beyond to make sure the cats were safe and comfortable. Rebekah was professional and down to earth with heart. I’ll definitely be booking her in the future. Thank you!

Maya has done a phenomenal job taking care of my girls! She was punctual and communicated any changes in advance (guinea pigs are pretty flexible). I trust her with my home and precious lil mischief potatoes. I'll definitely ask for her help again during future trips away from home.

Janys was incredible! She is so knowledgeable about animals and was so attentive to our kitties needs, going above and beyond! She spent time gaining their trust and giving them lots of love. I especially loved the written updates she would send every visit along with a bunch of pictures. She definitely made leaving the kitties while traveling a lot less stressful since I knew they were in such good hands. I know Jack and Pepsi look forward to seeing her again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
