About: My home has never been dog-less. We grew up with labs and mutts. I currently have a 4 year old rescue gremlin. I have fostered 14 dogs. I have a weakness for the pitties and big drooly dogs. I volunteer with a dog rescue, Wags and Walks, so I have experience with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. Just let me know your pup's routine. I will tailor my walks to your dog's needs.... exercise, potty breaks, socialization, etc. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. Thanks for checking out my profile! I hope to meet your pup soon! I WFH so am pretty flexible with times I can swing by. Im mindful of hot florida afternoons and won't walk your dog on concrete if it means burnt paws. I'll treat your pup like my own! Your house will be locked up while we're walking and your pup will be brought back safely.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Gandy
Maria is such a great Rover. She has great communication and always makes me feel like my cats are in good hands while I’m away. My cats just love her too! She is attentive and makes sure to spend time playing with them and loving them as if they are her own.

Samantha was phenomenal with James. So many detailed updates and photos that I loved seeing when I was on my travels. I know Samantha took great care of my son with how we was acting when I got back home. I would not hesitate to book her for any pet sitting needs! She’s the best

Jennifer was an excellent cat-sitter for my two cats while I was away for 9 days. Great communication, I felt comfortable knowing how things were going daily with each visit and she responded timely to my messages. I would definitely recommend her for your pets.

Took care of my cats and hedgehog over the holidays. Allison was a great communicator and took care of them well. One of my cats is very outgoing and the other is more shy -- I was surprised how quickly my shy one started playing with her and wasn't afraid at all. Wonderful, thank you.
Ellie was fantastic! Our dog is sometimes stubborn on the first few days we are away, but she was so patient with her while we were gone. She hand fed her, tried treats and multiple other suggestions we had until she got her to eat! She sends lots of photos/videos and even got our grumpy cat to accept pets from her! We couldn’t have asked for a better babysitter for peace of mind while we were away.

I had such a great experience using Shannon for drop-in visits. She was super communicative the entire time and made me feel really at ease while I was away. I loved getting the photo updates and details about how each visit went. I’d absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter, and I’m definitely looking forward to booking with her again in the future!

Brynn was amazing. I left town to spend Thanksgiving with family and I have a 17 year old cat that requires transdermal medication 2x a day. My cat can be crotchety and doesnt really like anyone but me. Upon meeting Brynn, he took right to her and allowed her to handle him. I rest assured and enjoyed my time with my family worry free because she took such good care of my buddy while I was away. I will definitely be using Brynn's services in the future and recommend her to the Rover community.

Samantha is absolutely amazing! She took great care of my two cats while I was away for a week. My kitties are in love with her! She’s very reliable and trustworthy. I highly recommend her to those who are looking for a reliable person to look after their fur babies!

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
