“This is the second time we’ve had Emma drop in on our pets while away and she was just as great as the first time! She is always on time for visits and is very communicative. It has been such a relief knowing our pets are well cared for while we’re away.”

“Elizabeth was AMAZING with our 2 pups. She came and met them for a visit first and our dogs warmed up to her immediately. She came for 2 different drop in times for us and was so loving with them — we have a very high standard and she exceeded it! One of our dogs even had an accident in their play pen and Elizabeth cleaned it up for us! She was very responsive and attentive and we would 100% rebook her again!”

“Gail was awesome. I had someone that never showed up so I was able to cancel and rebook with Gail and she truly was a godsend. I was already out of town so you can imagine how stressed I was with my dogs just at home and trying to plan last minute. She took great care of them and spent real quality time with them too not just a check in to check a box. Thank you soo much! Absolutely recommend her to anyone else”

“Shaylin did drop in visits checking on our dog at your house for a long weekend. She was always on time and took pictures during her updates. We came home to a happy dog that was well taken care of.”

“Lisa and Dylan are fantastic cat sitters. Very professional and very thorough. Our kitty seems to really enjoy playing with them. They send us tons of pictures of each feeding, which gives me great peace of mind. I highly recommend them!”

“Rita honors the individual pet's needs and adjusts care as needed. Reggie feels comfortable in her presence and well taken care of which makes her owners very comfortable as well. I will be using Rita's services many times in the future!”

“Excellent care and attention! Nastasia is very loving and caring with my Chihuahua Rasta- and I absolutely love getting all the photo and video updates! I can tell my puppy is happy to have her come hang out with her!”

“Andrea is a gem! I’m so happy I found her and met with her to potentially visit our frenchies. She was so organized and took notes and kept in consistent contact with me. Very punctual and appears to really love dogs. One Frenchie is alpha and very protective and it seemed that she was able to interact and take her potty on a leash and stroll her and play with her afterwards in our condo with no problems. Lucy, the Frenchie, got a great report card from Andrea. I think Andrea will come back. We are only part-time residents in Madeira Beach but I will definitely reach out to book her again. Makes my life so much easier. Thank you Andrea for being a dog lover and doing this service. 🥰”

“Iva communicates very well and even though I was worried, made me feel at ease leaving my dogs in her care. My newest pup is a bit much and she didn’t let me worry at all and I came home to two very happy dogs”

About: I've been around animals my whole life and genuinely love caring for them. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, ages, and energy levels, including puppies who need extra patience and attention as well as senior dogs who require a gentler approach. I'm comfortable with feeding schedules, administering basic medications, walks, playtime, and providing plenty of companionship. What sets me apart is that I treat every pet as if they were my own. I prioritize communication with pet parents by providing regular updates, photos, and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is to create a stress-free experience for both you and your pet and make sure they receive the same love and attention they're used to at home. I am currently working part-time but looking for a way to help out some people in the area with their furry friends! Available almost everyday. I prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. In clients’ homes, I follow all care instructions closely, maintain a clean environment, and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I keep pet parents updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident their pets are in good hands.
“Grace did an amazing job watching my puppy, Saylor, for a few hours. She was attentive, caring, and kept me updated the whole time. Saylor was happy and relaxed when I got home, which says everything. I’d definitely trust Grace to dog sit again!”

About: Hi, I'm Lexi! I've grown up alongside 2-3 dogs, which has inspired my love for any and all animals! I've pet-sat a wide variety of animals (list is below) and have 3 years of experience volunteering at animal shelters. Their happiness is my happiness :) I only pet-sit on days where I'm off from work, so I'll be right there to hang out with your fur babies all day! They can freely roam inside and outside (we also have a indoor/outdoor sunroom and a fenced-in yard), they're allowed on beds/furniture, and I won’t practice crating unless I'm instructed to. I live right by a park, so I love taking my dogs for short walks or just to go roam around in the lawn, whatever they're in the mood for :) I'm super attentive to their needs, as I currently own two senior doggos (a beagle and a dachshund) and have been able to spot even the littlest physical/emotional changes in them. On that note, I’d prefer to ONLY board dogs that are not high-energy, so as to help keep my small senior dogs safe. I love keeping owners updated and make them feel like their fur babies are right there with them! Animals I've cared for: Dogs, cats, leopard geckos, hognose snakes, hedgehogs, and White's tree frogs. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I love starting the day by taking my dogs to the park that's 2 min away for a walk. If they seem bored, I’ll give them a car ride or take them to PetSmart to shop around :) I have a fenced in yard and two senior dogs to keep your fur baby company. Your puppo is more than welcome to chill on our beds and couches (we have dog beds, too). We even have a guest room in case they want space! We live right by Walter Fuller recreational park.
“Evelyn did a drop in visit to take our frenchie for outside potty break and play time. She was very nice and responsive and updated us how he was doing during her visit. We appreciated it very much.”

“Janet took great care of my cats while I was on vacation. It was so nice to know they were in good hands so I could relax and enjoy my time. I will definitely be booking Janet again in the future.”
“Eileen did a fantastic job of taking care of my babies. She sent me lots of pictures and kept me up to date on everything they were doing and they obviously loved her, by the way they immediately were ready to play with her. I highly recommend her.”

About: Hi! I’m 28 years old, I’ve been happily caring for pets for 10+ years, I have some experience as a kennel technician at a veterinary hospital. I am home full time so I am always available. Something you and your fur babies will love about me is how attentive and kind I am. I will care for your babies as if they were my own so you can feel great about leaving them with me and knowing they will have a good time and they themselves will feel comfortable even while you’re away. I do not have any animals myself, however I do have children so your babies must get along with small children. I live in a friendly neighborhood and have a large fenced yard for lots of play time! I’m currently working part time and spend the rest of my time at home, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with and care for your fur babies. I live in a friendly neighborhood and have a big fenced yard for lots of play time! Also happy to go on walks or car rides anytime!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Bay Pines
I'm so glad I found Cora to take care of my kitty, Sasha. We did a meet and greet beforehand and I knew they were a match. She is professional and trustworthy, yet friendly and real. Every day I received messages, pictures and videos that make it much easier to be away from your baby. Sasha loved her attention and also brushing. My only kitty sitter now! Thank you Cora!

Jonell is amazing! Communicates very clearly and is obviously a compassionate person. Every time she’s been my cat sitter, we start off with interesting situations (my cats have notoriously been very skittish) and each time she pulls through! Jonell is definitely my go to sitter.

We could not ask for a better cat sitter! Sophie is incredibly reliable, communicative, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. Every time that we are away, we receive regular updates, photos, and notes that give us complete peace of mind. It’s obvious she spends quality time with our cat, Frankie, and makes sure she feels comfortable, loved, and cared for. When we return home, everything is always spotless, and our cat is so happy, relaxed, and following her normal routines. It's such a relief to find someone we can trust completely with both our pets and our home. If you're looking for a dependable, caring, and professional cat sitter, I cannot recommend Sophie highly enough. We will absolutely always be booking with Sophie!

Hilary is AMAZING! 😍😍 We are anxious cat Moms because we are home with our 3 cats most days. We were looking for someone who is great at communication, loves animals, and someone we vibe with. Hilary met and exceeded those on our first meet up, our cats were instantly comfortable. The first cat sitting visit went so well. Hilary sent pictures upon arriving, more of our kitties during the visit, and a message when she left. We could not be happier with Hilary. Our kitties are excited for their next hang out with her.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
