Claire sent us photos throughout Birdie's weekend stay, showing her and her other "guests" walking on the beach trail, romping in the backyard and sleeping happily. “Christina was so great with my dog Molly. Molly is afraid of people and other dogs but Christina quickly had her relaxed and mingling with the other dogs. She sent me lots of pictures during her stay and I couldn’t believe it, she was happy and playing with the other dogs! Christina has a wonderful house and large lawn, and she is with the dogs all day. She keeps all the dogs relaxed and happy. It’s like a summer camp! Molly can’t wait to go back!”

About: I have been caring for dogs most of my life and love every dog as if they’re my own. I have experience with all life stages and personalities - whether your dog is high energy and needs lots of playtime or is a senior who just wants to relax and be loved on. I am used to medication management, special diets, mobility challenges and bottle feeding. My adult dog, Olive, is always looking for a new friend to play with. I also foster puppies from time to time, so there may be lots of new friends for your pup to interact with while they’re here. I tailor my care to match animals’ personality and routine. My goal is to make them feel safe, happy and well-cared for while you’re away. Whether that is day care during the day or a long-term trip, they will be in good hands. I am fully remote and will be with your pup(s) all day. We will have plenty of outdoor play time during the day and always make time for afternoon naps. There is a nice 3 mile walking path by my house, so if your dog is very active and likes to walk or run, I would love to bring them along. For less active dogs, there will always be a comfy spot on the couch for them! I have a large fenced yard with plenty of room for them to explore. My dog, Olive, loves to run around back there. There are also cooling mats on the back porch if your dog likes to sunbathe.

“I had a last minute request (day before) for someone to watch my dog for a day because he recently injured his pads on all 4 feet and I needed to go to work but was not comfortable leaving him alone. At the time when Kathleen watched him, he was in a cone and on medication. When we talked beforehand, Kathleen was very kind and thoughtful, asking great questions and anticipating potential needs to make sure he would be safe and comfy in her care. While watching him, he ended up feeling a bit better than he had been in previous days and not as groggy from his medications, so was not as calm as I thought he would be for her, but she still did a great job of making sure he stayed safe and did not re-injure his feet. She provided updates at reasonable intervals without me having to ask and was very kind the entire time, even with me not knowing exactly what time I would be able to pick him up. Thanks so much to Kathleen, I would definitely trust her to watch my boy again.”

About: I have taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 8 years old. Growing up we always had at least 4 dogs in our household, and when I left college I knew I wanted a dog in my home. I found my dog, Herald, on the streets of Montana, and gave him his forever home. I have cared for him and friends, family and neighbors pets when I am able to and know the love and care a dog needs to be safe and secure. I am currently working part-time, and when I get a full-time job, I am looking for something remote. I can make sure my schedule meets my client's needs and can guarantee all pups will be played with, taken out for bathroom breaks, and given walks and treats!
