About: I grew up with dogs, worked at PetSmart for many years, continued dog sitting professionally, and raised my own current dog, Gizmo, from 5 weeks old. I have gone through extensive training and I use that to help others with training issues when I can. I've been through various medical issues and found the appropriate care, including for a choking dog. I am an artist and like to photograph or draw they dogs I care for - have done separate pet portrait work not included with dog sitting. I like to try to really communicate with and understand each dog in their own circumstances. I have a dog park available just a short walk down the street. I have the ability to schedule working from home if needed. Typically, if you would like your dog to stay at my home, they will be sharing space with my dog, Gizmo. So please communicate if you need special consideration for alone time. I take walks or visit the dog park in the mornings. I typically work 10 to 6 Monday through Friday at an office, but can schedule days to work from home if a dog is staying and can not be left for a long period of time. My dog is Gizmo. He is okay with other dogs and will typically play a little outside and leave your dog to have their own space inside. You will need to discuss your situation with me if your dog needs alone time with me as I would need to address Gizmo's care under those circumstances. My house is on the smaller side, but the yard is fenced in and is reasonably sized. There is a dog door available to allow easy access to the yard. Dogs are allowed on couches and the bed in my home. I have one large crate if you would like your dog to use one. Each room can be closed off if separation is needed. If I am caring for a dog in another home, I need to take the same consideration for Gizmo. Please share your needs so we can adjust as necessary.

Dara was so great with our Nolan. This was the first time he had done any overnight and away time from us since we adopted him early this year. She was super accommodating around drop and pick up time to ensure he would have time to acclimate. He also can be reactive with other dogs and was extremely mindful of this while taking him on walks. We received daily updates and pics to assure us that he was doing well. We feel like we struck gold with Dara!

This was Kona’s third time staying with Tabitha and we’ve had a great experience every time! I can always tell Kona has so much fun and comes home happy. We cannot recommend Matt enough! He watched our sweet Delta for three nights, and from the start, we felt completely comfortable leaving her in his care. She came home happy, healthy, and clearly very comfortable with him, which made the stress of being away from her so much easier to manage. Matt’s home and yard are absolutely perfect for dogs, and it was clear Delta was well cared for and felt right at home. We are so grateful to have found someone we can trust with her and would not hesitate to have Matt watch her again. Highly recommend!
Karina went above and beyond to make our dog Tlali feel right at home and us more than comfortable with leaving her with someone else for the first time since we've adopted her. My dog, King, and cat, Zi, stayed with Jessica for 9 nights. This was my first experience with Rover and pet sitting in general. Jessica is a very attentive care taker. I was not sure how King would do in a new environment. King is a stray dog we took in about a year ago. While he has improved greatly he is still anxious and can become easily frightened. Jessica and her fur babies took King in with open arms and paws. Jessica was a great communicator who updated me everyday. She worked with King to get outside in the yard even though he hesitated. Her yard is secure with high fences. King enjoyed playing with Jessica's puppy. So it was great that he bonded with the other doggies. Zi is a pretty chill cat who likes to get cuddles. Jessica made sure she felt loved. Zi has some unsolved health issues that have led to weight loss. Jessica kept an eye on her eating. It got to a point where she reported Zi was not eating so I delivered different food with the hopes that she would eat. Luckily, Zi was interested in the new food. Overall, I would use Jessica again if we needed a long term pet sitter again.
