About: I believe pets deserve to feel safe, loved, and completely at home while you’re away. I’m a dependable, caring, patient person who genuinely loves spending time with animals—and I treat every pet in my care like my own. I’m especially attentive to the little things that make each pet comfortable, from keeping their normal routine to giving them plenty of playtime, walks, cuddles, and one-on-one attention. My home is a quiet, non-smoking house with a fully fenced yard, and because I have no pets of my own, your dog gets my undivided attention. Whether your pup is playful, energetic, shy, older, or simply loves a good belly rub, I’ll take the time to get to know them and make them feel comfortable. Most importantly, I want you to enjoy your time away knowing your best friend is safe, happy, and being genuinely loved. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family member! 🐶❤️ Because I am an empty nester and pet sitting is my full-time focus, your fur baby will have my absolute, undivided attention. My schedule is exceptionally flexible and open, meaning my entire daily and weekly routine revolves completely around the pets in my care.I am home throughout the day, allowing me to maintain your pet's exact feeding, bathroom, and medication schedules without interruption. Whether your dog needs frequent potty breaks, midday companionship, or an extra-long afternoon walk, I am fully available to provide it. I am home full-time, so pets are under constant supervision and are never left unattended. I have a spacious backyard with grassy areas for potty breaks, playtime, or just to relax in fresh air, all surrounded by a privacy fence with secure locks at points of entry. This is a non-smoking home. No candles or harmful cleaning chemicals are EVER used when pets are in my care and I always make sure their food/water stays clean and fresh. Pets are always safely leashed for neighborhood walks. I also have a fully finished basement that is perfect to provide plenty of extra space. If I am visiting the pet-owners home, I promise to treat your home with the utmost respect, and will double-check that all doors are securely locked every time I exit your property and all other guidelines given are followed. I will always provide regular photo, video, and text updates throughout the day, so you always know exactly how your baby is doing. Ultimately, I care for every pet with the same deep love that I gave my own best buddy.
About: I have been a dog lover for many years and had the privilege of taking care of a chihuahua and a pug throughout their lives. Being a pet owner taught me the importance of patience and paying attention to each dogs needs and personality. I understand that pets are family, and i know how important it is to find someone you can trust. Whether we’re going for a walk, playing, or just relaxing together, I’ll provide attentive and loving care every step of the way. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me flexibility to provide care to your pup after work during the weekends. I’m completely available on wednesdays and weekends. Your pets safely and comfort are my top priorities. I have a calm, secure environment with a fenced yard for supervised outdoor time. I currently do not have any animals so your animals can enjoy an stress-free environment. As for in-home visits, I follow all instructions closely to maintain their routine and ensure they feel secure and cared for in their home.
“Very attentive care for my timid cat. Followed all the care instructions very exactly and made sure to seek out my cat in hiding to confirm all was well. Recommended!”

“Gionna is absolutely fantastic! My rescue cat, who rarely comes out for anyone except me, followed Gionna around the house while she visited. I have to believe that means she’s a wonderful person!”

“Me’lia was a godsend, when my original sitter had to cancel last minute. She was communicative and thoughtful, and was super accommodating. And both my cat and my dog loved her. Would recommend and would rebook her again!”

About: I have had my dog now for almost 10 years. I used to care for my dog as well as a roommates dog at one point. I can give medications and can provide First Aid/Heimlich if needed. Strong enough to hold back and tame my 60 pound Boxer mix. I’ve also helped care/walk my sisters Great Dane and my friends smaller dogs for 7 years or so. I love animals and if you have other little friends who need care, just let me know what to do and I’ll do it. I work night shift as an ICU Nurse so I’m home all day. I can pop in and check on your babies any time during the day. I would need to know in advance only cause I do eventually sleep during the day. I’m aware you are trusting me with one of the most important members of your family, I’ll be happy to leave a photo and an update of any changes , good or bad, so you can enjoy some peace of mind that everything is alright.
“Tara visited and gave my cat so much attention while I went to an all-day conference for 4 days. She played with him, and petted and brushed him. Her photos showed a happy and engaged cat. I appreciate Tara’s great flexibility and understanding of my house, schedule, and cat! Thanks for being kind and encouraging, Tara!”

About: Dogs have been a great interest of mine since i was born! I currently have one dog who is a creature of habit and has a strict schedule she sticks to! I’ve always known when something is up with her, like if her belly hurts or if she wants to go outside. I’ve been taking care of dogs for my whole life; my neighbors dogs, my sisters dog and even fostering. I have great behavior awareness, i act calm under pressure, i care for all types of animals and I’m responsible. Pet care is something i take very seriously. I’m currently in school perusing the medical field, so i plan my week around bookings, my part time job and homework. I make sure to prioritize each pet and their needs. I’m currently available to do any day of the week at any time besides T/W/Th before noon due to school. I also may be busy with my part time job so just shoot me a text message and i’ll let you know if i’m available the week you need someone! As safety and trust are my top priorities, i stick to schedules and routine while keeping a safe, secure environment. I’m attentive to their behavior and i’m able to handle different temperaments. My schooling teaches quick and calm thinking, so should anything unexpected happen, you can expect communication and responsibility from me! My ultimate goal is for your pet to feel safe and for you to feel confident!
About: For years, I've been a devoted pet parent, welcoming everything from kittens and puppies to their adult counterparts. My journey took a deep turn when I became the primary caregiver for my senior dog, who battled three different medical conditions. Every day, I managed a complex schedule of 5–7 medications. Thanks to this dedication, she defied the odds, living a happy, long life until she was 16. She was my best friend, and the many years we spent navigating her health together remains one of my most cherished experiences. I'm currently not working and available 7am-7pm weekdays and weekends.I do take care of our own pets at home along with my parents. So If you need me longer I can make it work for you. I am currently feeding our one dog and three cats multiple times a day and all are also cared for and loved by my parents and aunt.
About: I have been watching dogs for a while. Watched 4 dogs at once. If you need me to stay overnight i will for the dogs When i had my dog we took care of her. Walks grooming. Let her be by my side when bedtimes comes around. Miss watching pets Prefer their house. So the pet feels more at home instead of not knowing the surrounding. If there is ever a storm im with the dog overnight .
“Mara is simply the best—highly recommended! My husband and I have never trusted anyone outside of family to care for our two senior dogs. One requires medication, and the other is extremely anxious, so finding the right person felt overwhelming. Mara immediately put us at ease. She took the time to meet with me and my dogs before her scheduled visits and was incredibly patient while I learned how to use the app. Not only is she kind and attentive with my pets, but she is also very capable and handled their somewhat complicated care with confidence. She communicated clearly, letting me know when something came up without causing unnecessary worry, and managed every situation thoughtfully—even things I hadn’t anticipated. Mara is responsive, flexible, and truly easy to work with. When I needed to add a service last minute, she responded right away and accommodated my request without hesitation. I can’t say enough good things—she is trustworthy, compassionate, and incredibly reliable. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dogs.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hometown
Delaney was absolutely fantastic! It was our first time using Rover since we moved and we were anxious to use a new cat sitter but Delaney really helped to ease the stress. Her communication was wonderful and her attention to detail was also much appreciated. Our area experienced bad weather while we were away and Delaney was very vigilant about updating us on our cats and sending photos. We also appreciate how tidy she left everything upon our return! We are very relieved to have found a very trustworthy and caring sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
