“First time Rover users, so we did a walk with Lillie to get Odin acclimated before house sitting for a week next week. Lillie handled Odin’s confusion very well and took him around the subdivision and took notes for the upcoming stay.”

“Katie is the best! She is very good with my dog, and very kind and communicative. Thanks so much, Katie! We will definitely always use her anytime and recommend her to anyone.”

“My old pup can be anxious and ramped up with care givers so I am delighted that he was calm with Tyler. I will definitely have Tyler take care of my fur babe again knowing I can depend on him and will not be stressed while on vacation.”

“Kate is incredible! Do not hesitate to book with Kate. Our dog loves when she comes over to play, walk, eat, and snuggle. Kate is punctual, communicative, and clearly loves animals. I love reading the reports and seeing the pics from the visit.”

“Lauren was great. She was communicative, sent photos and reports, and took good care of our house and dog- everything was in good shape when we got home. We will ask her to help us out again in the future.”
About: Taking care of others has always been a passion of mine. Growing up as the oldest of four, I would watch younger siblings and our two cats and lab while my parents were away. As I got older, I started to take on more responsibility as a nanny, house sitter, and pet sitter. My experience includes working with puppies and kittens, senior dogs and cats, kittens, big dogs and little dogs, fish, and rodents. My responsibilities have ranged from over night care to occasional dog walks. When the time came for me to decide what career to pursue, I considered my love for taking care of others and animals - this is the reason I decided to become a teacher. With that being said, I need a summer gig that allows me to keep doing what I love! Thank you for considering me as your next house and pet sitter. As a teacher, I have summers off, so my schedule is relatively open outside of a bi weekly nannying gig, monthly cleaning job, and some vacations. Due to the flexibility of my schedule, I am available for overnight care, check ins with your pets every couple hours, or dog walks. Unfortunately, I am renting a home that does not allow pets, so I am unable to take animals back to my apartment place. With that being said, I will be visiting your home. I am a very cleanly, attentive, and communicative person! I assure you, your place will be cleaner than when you left it, and your animal will be happy and healthy.
“Brian did a great job checking in on Mochi when I had to work all day. He took him for a walk and made sure he went potty. Gave Mochi lots of treats and attention! Thanks again ?”

“Ricardo is amazing! First time using Rover and I absolutely picked the right person. He scheduled a meet-and-greet to introduce himself and get to know my dog. They were completely at ease with each other. Ricardo’s a proactive communicator, provided regular updates, and was always friendly and punctual. I highly recommend.”

About: I have more than 10 years experience working at dog daycares, grooming, and sitting/walking dogs of all breeds and temperaments. I am comfortable with administering medication both orally and injections. I've I am always trying to educate myself and others about reading dog behaviors and the best ways to react to situations. I am an artist by trade so my work hours are very flexible. If I'm sitting in your home, I will stick to your pet's normal routine as closely as possible to give them a sense or normalcy and comfort. My more than 10 years of experience have prepared me for almost any situation. I am a big proponent of safety first especially when it comes to your pets interacting with other animals, escape artists, and counter surfers getting into harmful things.
“I am a very over protective doggie mom. I met Claire and instantly liked her and so did my Daisy. She helped us out for a few days and I cannot tell you how pleased and grateful I am for hiring her. She is wonderful with dogs (and mine is strong and a bit wild). My dog LOVES her! I cannot recommend Claire enough! I wish this offered more than 5 stars!”

“Tayler has been super helpful, was able to accomodate my 11th hour requests to check in on my dog, feed and walk him. My dog appears to have taken to her quite well.”

“Jasmine is an awesome dog walker! She was very attentive and left some of the best notes I've ever had from a dog walker/sitter, which I really appreciated. She also used rover cards, which helps a ton, so I know where Moe walked and how far during the day. 10/10 will use again. I can also tell she has a lot of good experience working with animals. Thanks Jasmine!”

About: I grew up with dogs, but currently live with 3 cats. I walk my neighbors dogs for them and have dog sat for many friends and my parents. I love a furry face! I am a restaurant manager so I can usually do early mornings or mid evenings. If I work late I can do morning or afternoon. I would prefer to meet your animals first and then we can go on walks from there. I am so excited to meet your pet!
About: I am an English teacher and I have summers off! Dogs or cats, or lizards! I would love to spend it with your furry friends! I can spend all day with your special friends! My apartment has a dog wash station, and a great walking space and with some trails! I have worked with large and small animals and I am able to walk and play with them all day! I love to cuddle them!
About: I seem to be a magnet for anxious dogs and cats! Both my senior cat and adolescent dog have behavioral issues/anxiety, and while it has its challenges, I find bonding with these guys can be the most rewarding experience. Between slow, gentle movements, not rushing a bond, and having lots of treats on hand, I've learned that "difficult" personalities don't always have to be so hard. I work 8-5 on weekdays, with Mondays and Fridays being working-from-home days. I can easily incorporate lunch-time and evening visits into my schedule during the week with open availability on weekends. After adopting an anxious/reactive dog, my partner and I have invested countless hours into a training program that works for us. Through this experience, I've learned the power of positive reinforcement, consent for touch, and patience even when it's the most difficult to find it. I'm a huge believer in redirecting unwanted behavior rather than punishment of any kind. Love and respect is the driving force behind all of my interactions with animals!
Heritage Hill dog parents share their Rover experiences
Sophia was so great with my 63lb Goldendoodle for multiple days of walks. He can be a strong puller on walks, and can get anxious in the neighborhood, especially in Fireworks season. Sophia was so great with him, gaining his trust and adjusting to his needs each walk. She was timely, remembered instructions, and things unique to my dog. We look forward to having her again.

Claire and Spatzle are slowly working on an introduction. He is a nervous and reactive boy so we are working our way to being able to do overnights and drop ins. Her vet med hx and experience with a reactive dog is SO helpful in knowing how to interact with him and it's going great so far.

Colleen has been walking our dog consistently for a few months now and our dog LOVES her! She has been super reliable, as we new parents and have limited time to go on long walks with our high-energy golden doodle. She also does a great job granted he pulls a ton. We are so grateful for her!
