About: I grew up with multiple pets my whole life, with most being medium to large dogs of various breeds. I have 15 solid years of experience with dogs, some cats, and other animals. I am an animal lover at heart, and I am looking for work to give back and care for animals in the community! I am currently in a transition between jobs and am aiming to work remote in the future. I can fit care into a flexible schedule. I aim to communicate effectively with each client before going forward with a service to best meet their needs and the needs of their pet!
“Brian did a great job checking in on Mochi when I had to work all day. He took him for a walk and made sure he went potty. Gave Mochi lots of treats and attention! Thanks again ?”

“My old pup can be anxious and ramped up with care givers so I am delighted that he was calm with Tyler. I will definitely have Tyler take care of my fur babe again knowing I can depend on him and will not be stressed while on vacation.”

“Ricardo is amazing! First time using Rover and I absolutely picked the right person. He scheduled a meet-and-greet to introduce himself and get to know my dog. They were completely at ease with each other. Ricardo’s a proactive communicator, provided regular updates, and was always friendly and punctual. I highly recommend.”

“First time Rover users, so we did a walk with Lillie to get Odin acclimated before house sitting for a week next week. Lillie handled Odin’s confusion very well and took him around the subdivision and took notes for the upcoming stay.”

“Kevin has been walking our dog, Obi for a few weeks now. He’s always been on time and has great availability. We’ve had a few last minute (night before) bookings and he’s usually always happy to help. It’s great coming home to a tired dog and trusting that he’s getting taken care of while we are at work”
About: I've always wanted a dog but only ever had cats. So, I'd walk the neighborhood dogs, dog sit, go to dog parks, you name it! I've even done some minor dog training (no certification, just online and book research) to better help the precious puppers! I now have a part time job so my days are inconsistently available but my nights are free. Available Sundays-Saturdays, just let me know what you need! I will only be able to walk your dogs or dog sit at your home. I live in a house with max pet capacity, so they cannot stay at my place. As for dog walking, I've gotten used to big dogs that pull. Just let me know what training you're using to reinforce good habits. I can happily take them for a short walk if they need a crate break or long walks to sniff like crazy and tire them out. If they get into muddy areas I can clean their paws, but I need to use your hose as I can only carry so many pet wipes with me on walks. If they do not have their shots or flea treatments, I need you to be honest with me. I will be walking other dogs and need to be concerned for them and my pets safety. If they are a puppy without shots I cannot take them to a dog park. I will need to avoid wooded areas if they don't have tick treatments. I also will not allow ANY dogs into my vehicle to prevent possible flea spreading. Meaning any dog parks must be within walking distance of your home, preferably a mile. I want to do what's best for you, your fur baby, and other fur babies.
About: Grew up with Saints Bernards & others, love my folks' new Havanese. Known as "the-dog-whisperer" at church. Worked a few years in a kennel. Must love dogs. Been a painter (every kind) 25 years. Band director for five. I see my folks' Havanese 2-3 times a week. Done dog-sitting, worked in a kennel. I love dogs. I'm honest -- I don't actually have a pet-friendly home. I would take them out or to my folks' who have a beautiful, large yard. I walk a lot -- I go by Cherry Park approximately three times every day. I'd love to have a canine companion when I do. I think I have dealt well with dogs that have had health emergencies -- one Retriever had a major brain hemorrhage, brought him to the ER immediately, & he lived another year. I have researched & prepared for everything I could find-- first aid, CPR, what to do with a difficult dog, what to do when an unleashed dog approaches, how to administer oral & injection medication, dog-walking, dog-bathing, clothes-washing, spare leash, treats, towel, poo bags... I think & look ahead, & prepare for everything. I love dogs.
“Emma went above and beyond when walking our puppy! You can tell she truly cares for your fur-child and does a wonderful job. She communicates well and even took the time to come meet him before his walk! Will definitely rebook and know that our Taco will love to see her again :)”

“Stephani is amazing! We just adopted our pup not too long ago and she is super shy, but she warmed up to Stephani right away! She’s patient, knowledgeable and caring, can’t ask for much more.”
About: I’ve been a dog owner and surrounded by dogs all my life! I love animals and spending time outside, so pet sitting has always been something I’ve loved doing! I do overnight stays as well as day-to-day visits! I hope to sit for your pet soon! I currently am working part-time, and have lots of open availability to watch your animals! I’m a student at GRCC, however I only have 3 classes in person a week, and they’re short in the morning. I’m very flexible and will be able to give your pets all the attention they need! I follow the rules and requirements for a sitter that the home/pet owners enforce! I love and play with any and all dogs, and will keep the home as I found it (or better)!
About: I am a compassionate and energetic sitter that is ready to take your pet on the best walk of their life or just give some regular good company. I am comfortable around all dogs and cats, I have a lot of experience caring for and listening to cues of animals. I also have 8 years experience in obedience training for dogs. I currently hold a part time position, so I would have a lot of time on my hands to care for your dog. I have more availability during the week, but weekends are also an option. I am open to either a fixed or random schedule. I will do my best to read your pet's cues, whether it's time to play or if they need some space for a while. I will be gentle and patient with your pet, I understand every animal is different. Safety is a top priority of mine as well, I will always double check that the gate/door isn't open and that the leash is hooked on properly.
About: I seem to be a magnet for anxious dogs and cats! Both my senior cat and adolescent dog have behavioral issues/anxiety, and while it has its challenges, I find bonding with these guys can be the most rewarding experience. Between slow, gentle movements, not rushing a bond, and having lots of treats on hand, I've learned that "difficult" personalities don't always have to be so hard. I work 8-5 on weekdays, with Mondays and Fridays being working-from-home days. I can easily incorporate lunch-time and evening visits into my schedule during the week with open availability on weekends. After adopting an anxious/reactive dog, my partner and I have invested countless hours into a training program that works for us. Through this experience, I've learned the power of positive reinforcement, consent for touch, and patience even when it's the most difficult to find it. I'm a huge believer in redirecting unwanted behavior rather than punishment of any kind. Love and respect is the driving force behind all of my interactions with animals!
About: I have experience with dogs of all ages. Walking, bathing (chowhound), feeding, belly rubs and dog parks are all activities I enjoy sharing time with dogs. I'm available most weekdays and weekends for walks or care. As a recent empty nester my availability has opened up. Reach out for more detail. I have a fenced yard and sidewalk friendly neighborhood for walks. Our 5 yr old labrahound is always eager to sniff and play with other dogs, too.
About: I've always watched pets growing up! I love taking care of them and follow all of the necessary instructions you leave me to a tee! Thank you for considering me :) I am currently in physical therapy school, but still have lots of time in the afternoons/evenings! I am on clinical rotations at the moment and have Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays off along with my other evenings free as mentioned :) I follow the instructions you give me to a tee! I am here to make sure that your animal feels comfortable and is well taken care of while you are away/busy :)
About: I come from a family of animal lovers and as such have had cats and dogs in the house since I was a child. I have cared for the pets of my neighbors, friends, and family for years through dog walking and pet sitting. I have been loving on and training a puppy of my own since March! I’d love to help give your pet all the love and attention they deserve 😊 I am a graduate student at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI. Because of this, I have a flexible schedule, aside from set class times, throughout the work week. I am comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, big breeds welcome! I am happy to meet you wherever you are with training, medication, play time, etc. I have a puppy of my own and am totally comfortable with puppies. 😊
Midtown dog parents share their Rover experiences
Kasidee is fantastic! My dogs can be shy when walking with someone new but they warmed to her right away. She has a clear passion for animals and treating them with love and kindness. The photos and post walk updates were always great and adorable. Highly recommended!

Marina does a great job communicating with us on how things are going or went with our dog. We have had her walk our puppy several times - she’s always on time, stayed the whole time and played with him when he didn’t want to walk. Really appreciate her pictures as well!

Kinsey took great care of my puppy. She communicated well and provided high quality photos. She was on time and walked my puppy for the full amount. She took a few moments to greet my puppy to make sure he was comfortable with her before walking. Thank you Kinsey!
Sarah has been wonderful to work with. I was really impressed with her attention to detail when we first met, and she was friendly and kind, to me and my pup. My mother was visiting during my pups walks, and she even commented how much she liked Sarah. I’m excited to continue to book Sarah for dog walks and pet sitting! I was especially happy how much she enjoyed large dogs, with my Shepard mix pushing 90 lbs :)
