About: Hi there! I'm new to Rover, but have been housesitting regularly since December 2024. I've had the opportunity to pet sit in Australia and throughout New Zealand with dogs and cats of various breeds and ages. I have also looked after fish and chickens. My experience ranges from caring for young puppies and kittens to older animals with health issues, including pets with arthritis, heart issues, IBD, and asmtha. I'm very diligent about managing any medication or supplements required. In the past, I've had two dogs as my own pets. One was a miniature schnauzer and the other was a mixed breed rescue. Throughout the years, I've pet sat for friends and family as well. I always love getting to know new animals and enjoy taking care of a home and any plants you may have. :) I work remotely and have a fairly flexible schedule, so I will have plenty of time to stay in with your pets and make sure they are cared for and happy. *Currently, I am fully booked for housesitting until the beginning of January. If you are interested in booking for your 2027 travel, feel free to send me a message to schedule a meet and greet. I do also offer dog walking or drop-in visits for other clients from about noon to 2 pm, so this would be a time that I may be away from the house. To ensure a good fit, I offer a 30 minute Meet & Greet prior to booking. All bookings include frequent updates and photos for your peace of mind. I am happy to have your fur babies as my close companions or give them more space if they prefer. My goal is make sure they are safe and comfortable while their family is away.

“We had a wonderful experience with Marie and would absolutely book her again. She took excellent care of our 8-year-old indoor/outdoor tabby, and when we returned from our trip, he was relaxed, happy, and clearly very well loved. She sent us regular updates with photos and videos, spent lots of time playing with him, and even bought him some new toys. It was obvious that the two of them really bonded. She also kept an eye on an old wound he had and was very attentive to his well-being throughout our time away. She truly went above and beyond. When our cat stayed out later than usual, she walked around the neighborhood calling for him until he came home. We really appreciated how seriously she took his safety and how much she clearly cared about him. She has a big heart for animals and a very good understanding of cats. She even had some thoughtful suggestions about where we might place his food and water to make things work even better for him. She took wonderful care of our home as well. Mail and packages were brought inside, our plants were watered, and everything was extremely tidy when we returned. She even left us some fresh blueberries as a welcome-home snack, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, we really couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Marie is caring, responsible, communicative, and willing to go the extra mile. She will absolutely be at the top of our list the next time we need a house sitter, and we would recommend her without hesitation.”

When your dog is with me, their comfort, safety, and daily rhythm are my top priorities." Currently, I work a night shift from 10 PM to 6 AM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. I am fully available for early morning walks and drop-in visits between 6 AM and noon, as well as quick evening check-ins from 8 PM to 10 PM. On Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday...my schedule is completely open for open-ended daytime care, extended drop-ins, and flexible walking routines." When providing care, I focus on strict adherence to your established household environment protocols, including exact feeding rules, crating preferences, and secure entries to prevent any escape attempts. I maintain transparent communication by sending detailed photo updates and text check-ins after every visit. Whether your dog needs cautious, slow pacing on a walk or structured, calm boundaries inside the home, I ensure a completely secure and reliable environment where they feel safe.

About: Besides my experience with my own pets I began volunteering at the Oregon Humane Society at 17. After that I went on to dog sit for various different families part time for around 3 years. I have a big window of availability currently. I’m going back to school in the fall, but until then I am just working part time. I work for my grandpa, so my schedule is super flexible! When I dog sit in the clients home I will follow your instructional list for feeding/walks/ activities/ grooming ect. I have car so I can take your pup to nearby parks/ dog parks if you would like, or just for a classic stroll around your neighborhood if you prefer. For clients that would prefer I take car if you dog in my home I have a fenced in back yard and live near several park so we can go on several adventures. Or just chill at home if you have a senior/ more low energy dog. My only deal breaker is that your dog isn’t reactive towards cats.

“Evan was a gem! I just adopted a cat who came from a rough situation, and I've only had her for five months. In that five months, she's been going from an underweight, skittish, matted girl to a healthy, loving, mischievous girl with a serious addiction to toys. She's endured two surgeries in that time, as well. All that to say, I'm a highly protective new cat mom. Evan met me where I was at. He clearly understood that relating to Nova might change from day to day, and was clear that he would be there for her but wouldn't push. He sent regular updates, funny pictures and videos, and was also very respectful of my condo. When I arrived home, Nova was clearly well taken care of, and he'd run a load of laundry, taken out the trash and left the place generally neat and tidy. The best part that I was very glad of: excellent communication. He asked questions to clarify how I usually do things, and also asked when supplies seemed to be running low, and was perfectly willing to run out and pick up things if needed. He also was honest. Nova struggles and tries to escape being brushed, and he was open with me that he hadn't been able to do it much. That's was helpful information so that I knew I'd need to catch up a bit with brushies when I got home. I highly recommend you use Evan, but you know... not so much that *I* can't book him anymore! 😉”

About: We are a husband-wife team that both work from home and love dogs and cats. We walk our dog(s) daily for a 3 to 4 mile walk, and shorter routes can be done for dogs that can't go long distance. Happy to house sit your fur baby/babies or just provide breaks for your pup or feed the cat. Our motto is... A tired dog is a good dog! We have flexible schedules. We are comfortable with giving meds if needed. Good with large breeds and light training during walks. Happy to reinforce whatever training / skills you are working on. We sometimes foster dogs, so schedule can be unpredictable at times. We both work from home currently, so have the ability to do drop-in visits morning, afternoon or evening. Soon-to-be retired for one of us, so that will increase availability quite a bit. We are not currently offering boarding in our home due to having a dog-selective large breed at this time. Happy to pet-sit in your home, usually just one of us.

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my entire life and have experience caring for pets of many different breeds, sizes, personalities, and behavioral needs. Being a lifelong pet owner has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding that every animal is different. I currently share my home with Pigeon, my 8-year-old rescue, who has given me even more appreciation for the patience and trust that can be especially important with rescue animals. I’m comfortable adapting to each pet’s individual routine and personality, and I’ll always treat your pets with the same care, attention, and respect I give my own. I’ll get to know your pet’s personality and routine and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away.
