About: While growing up I have always had a dog in the home. I’m a huge dog lover and don’t know what I would do if I did not have a dog in my life. I remember when my parents let me chose our next dog when I was young. I chose a sheltie and named him Arrow. The reason for the name Arrow was when I went to pick him up I noticed in his fur on the back of his head was an arrow. I loved taking care of Arrow and we had a special bond! I loved taking him on walks and he loved chasing me around the house. When I turned 15 I started to take care of one of my neighbors cats and fish when they went on vacations. After completing one summer, I started taking care of their cats and fish for the next eight years before I moved out. Once the rest of my neighbors found out I was known in the neighborhood for taking care of my neighbors dogs and cats when they were on vacations! I have also taken care of many of my coworkers cats and dogs as well. So rest assured your pet will be in good hands while you are on vacation. It will be one less stress to worry about. I currently work full time, however work three 12 hours shifts. I’m currently off Friday-Monday. So I’m available for the weekends, so perfect for anyone wanting to do a weekend getaway! I do work graveyard so I’m available anytime after 2pm on Fridays. However, if you need to drop of earlier just communicate so I can plan ahead. My girlfriend and I live in a townhouse. I don’t have a fenced backyard. However, have a small backyard that is used for potty breaks. It does have a small area of grass turf (fake grass). The good news we live in Fairview in the Fairview Terrace community. We have a very large area for dogs. So your dog will have lots of playtime in the grassy area. Also, the neighborhood is perfect for walking your dog as well. The community is fenced and a gated community as well. Our community is very dog friendly and many pet owners. We also have a micro mini Golden doodle. So your dog will have a playmate as well. We can also send photos of your pet to you while on vacation to help with the separation. I know when I go on vacation I have a hard time leaving my fur baby behind. For me, getting photos of my fur baby made the vacation a little easier!

About: What sets me apart is how I treat any animal as a kid - in the most loving, playful, and caring way! I love all animals and enjoy getting to know each and every personality! I work part time and go to school full time online! I’m home or walking on hikes most of the time so being home for in home care or walks in your home should be no problem! I offer a dedicated area for each animal in our home with a tv for comfort - haha and a bath provided if need be, medication exchange, and tons of play time!
About: I've had cats and dogs most of my life. I frequently watch my sister's 3 small dogs as well as my friends larger Pitbull mix. But have house sat and pet watched for dozens of other friends through the years. I had the great pleasure of volunteering at Elephant Nature Park elephant rescue in Chiang Mai Thailand for a week earlier this year. I paid for the privilege of scooping poo, preparing food and other duties 😊 It was one of my life's great pleasures. I drive for Uber and Lyft, as well as substitute teach, so my schedule can be very flexible depending on your needs. Contact me and I'm sure we can work something out. I just moved into a new duplex that has a fenced yard so boarding might be possible. We have a 3 year old border collie who would love to keep your dog company.
About: I have over 5 years of hands-on experience volunteering at animal shelters and fostering abused dogs. During that time, I worked closely with dogs of all ages and temperaments, from energetic puppies to gentle seniors who need extra patience and care. In addition to dogs, I’ve also fostered bunnies, guinea pigs, and cats, which has given me a deep understanding of different animal needs and personalities. Through fostering, I ended up adopting two dogs, one bunny, and a cat who never found their forever home. Our home is built around obedience, fulfillment of each pet’s individual needs, and plenty of calm, relaxing moments. I’m comfortable administering medications and caring for pets who require extra attention. I also offer dog training services, specializing in fearful dogs, obedience training, puppy training, and working through food aggression. My dogs have their own separate room, and my bunny has his own space as well, so your furry family member will not interact with them. We also have a private, fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play, explore, and decompress in a secure environment. I work from home so I usually edit my schedule to my pets needs. My work is really flexible since I’m self employed and that helps me create my own schedule so I don’t need to leave your baby unattended at all. I have a private, fully fenced yard, and I’m happy to crate your dog or give them their own space if needed. I always like to learn about each dog’s likes, dislikes, and daily routine so I can keep things as familiar and stress-free as possible, adjusting to what they’re already used to rather than creating sudden changes. For safety reasons, I do not offer off-leash walks or dog park visits.
About: First year veterinary student seeking summer work. Have owned a pet sitting and dog walking business since I was 14 years old. Experience caring for many animals including difficult and friendly cats, all sizes of dogs, and common exotics. Additionally, I volunteered with dogs and occasionally cats, at the SW Humane Society, and I volunteered at the Oregon Zoo's family farm. Since, then I have worked at East Padden Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Technician Assistant, worked as an Animal Care Tech at the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital, and went on a veterinary outreach trip in Cusco, Peru where I traveled with a WSU group to provide free veterinary medicine clinics to the underserved surrounding communities. Lastly, I spent a few months working on a sheep and goat farm in Ellensburg, WA and was on the WSU Equestrian Competitive Team for four years. I also grew up with many pets and spent a lot of my childhood also caring for and training my neighbors and friend's pets. I have a lot of experience and exposure to all types of animals, of any size. I own two cats currently and with the weather getting nicer I am looking for lots of dogs to walk since I don't currently have the time to care for my own. So hire me to watch and walk your sweet precious babies!!! I don't have many plans for this summer so I am looking for some extra dogs to walk and other animals to play with and I will have most of the day free, to do so. If I am doing an overnight stay, I will be at the client's house most, if not the whole time I would normally be at mine (i.e. anytime I plan to be home). My schedule is pretty flexible and I do my best to make your pets the priority of my schedule. I do drop ins and overnight stays. Normally drop-ins consist of 2-3 visits a day where I feed and walk or let the pets out, depending on the owner's preference for their pet's routine. During an overnight stay, I sleep at the owners house (more mentioned in my schedule) and care for the pets there. I also do dog walking. However, I do not provide pet sitting in my own home because I have my own pets.
About: From the moment I first encountered a playful pup at the age of nine, my heart was forever captured by dogs' boundless joy and unwavering loyalty. Since then, my life has been enriched by countless furry companions, each leaving an indelible pawprint on my heart. As I embarked on my journey in pet care, I discovered the profound joy of nurturing these loving creatures and the immeasurable rewards of companionship and connection. I have plenty of time to help take care of animals. I am also flexible on weekends. Would be able to walk your pet midday and evenings. Mornings are tough time for my availability. I am experienced with setting up a routine schedule for a pet: morning bathroom break, midday, and evening. Lunch and dinner are typically done first thing in the morning and evening. A morning walk or evening walk also works. Routines are great for animals.

Government Island dog parents share their Rover experiences
Maria saved me by walking my 2 dogs at the last minute. She dropped what she was doing to help me, took both of my large, strong dogs, and even braved both in the rain-which I feel terrible about. Not feeling well, she really took charge of both dogs, and headed out. I highly recommend her!

Brian is very patient and helpful with my two dogs, Snowy and Dutsch. Both dogs can be a little difficult on a walk, as they are working breeds without much training. Brian offered some tips and suggestions about using a gentle leader to avaoid pulling. He arrived on time and walked them for the full hour as promised.
