It's no secret that I love animals more than people (no offense). There is something so pure and uncomplicated about the bonds we form with our pets, and leaving them behind is never easy, no matter the reason. When your bestie needs a buddy, you'll want a sitter who is not only present in the room, but present in the moment; someone you can trust to be just as attentive to their emotional needs as their physical ones. As a member of your pet's care team, I consider myself to be an extension of their family. My priority is to foster a comfortable, engaging, and loving environment that feels as close to their normal routine as possible. I strive to be the next best thing to having you there, and to provide consistent communication and trustworthy service that enables you to travel stress-free. I have been pet sitting and dog walking professionally since 2017 through Rover, and work part time as a Pet Care Professional with Hot Diggity Dog Walking. With nearly 60 rave reviews and over 20 repeat clients, I am proud to have been among the first to achieve Rover's "Star Sitter" status, a distinction which "highlights sitters with a track record of highly rated care for pets and responsible, reliable service for pet parents." I am certified in first aid and CPR via ProTrainings, and have over 30 years of pet ownership experience with a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, fish, and horses. I have experience working with different ages and temperaments, including those anxious, hesitant, young, elderly, and/or injured pets who may benefit from having some extra care and thoughtfulness built into their routine. I am comfortable administering medications, and I'm happy to work with your pet on any specific training regimens you have in place, to maintain consistency in their education and environment. I like to maintain your pet's typical routine as closely as possible, as I find the familiarity and consistency keeps them feeling calm. Depending on their needs and energy levels, we'll have a balance of indoor play time, walks around the neighborhood, and cuddle time. Rest assured I will be loving on them as if they are my own pets! This is how I meet my own needs as an animal-obsessed touring musician whose travel schedule doesn't allow for personal pet ownership. :)

Margaret was wonderful. I had to change my arrangements with her several times and she was very accommodating and understanding. She sent very sweet updates about my pups, even working with the intense heat to find them a shady route and making sure they stayed hydrated. Loved the pics I received too—it was perfect because I really missed my doggies while I was away!
Margaret was so great with the dogs - both an energetic puppy and a senior! She was trustworthy and loving with my babies. I recommend her care! 😊

Schedule
I am a full-time pet care provider, and intentionally spend as much of my time at home with your pet as I can, to minimize anxiety while their people are gone. I will occasionally need to leave for a couple of hours here and there to visit my regular dog walking clients during the day, or to attend band practices or other commitments in the evenings, but I do my best to prioritize quality time with the animals in my care.
