“Maureen did a wonderful job watching Purdy while we were on vacation. I loved the daily updates with pictures. It is comforting to know your pet is cared for while you are on vacation. Maureen also brought in our mail, watered plants, and dealt with our garbage cans. I would definitely have her take care of Purdy again.”

“Jenn took great care of our cats, including our cat with special feeding requirements, made sure they got play time and left the house perfectly clean! Great highly recommend booking with her!”

About: I'm currently in between dogs and am desperately in need of time with the four-leggeds. As the go-to person for friends in need of dog-sitting, I figured "Why not expand?", hence my decision to register with Rover. I've had two dogs over the past 20 years: one slightly demonic and requiring special precautions, and the other a big, gentle galoot. Both absolutely stole my heart. I work from home and am available for walking (give me allll the exercise) and sitting (give me allll the cuddles). I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I'm around to give attention as needed, 7 days/week. I'm an early riser (6:30 give or take), so early walks or breakfasts would be no problem. I have a fenced yard that would be secure for all but the most accomplished escape artists. Your pet would have full access to all parts of the house (including furniture). That said, if crating, furniture restrictions, etc. work better for you and your dog, I would happily honor your typical rules and routines.
“Katie is amazing! She was super available and communicative and did an amazing job with Margot! Margot is not a fan of strangers but definitely loved Katie! Katie was very patient and caring and I will definitely be booking her again. 100% recommend her!”

“Sarah went from 0 to 100% cuddles during her first week with our cat Bowie. She also has a great memory (important when it comes to the specifics of your pet) and was always quick to respond. We are very happy, including the cat!”

“Paige did a great job checking in on and caring for our dog. She was prompt and provided immediate feedback for us which we really appreciated. Very reliable and we will definitely request her again!”

About: Hi! I’m Sam, a high school Library Media Specialist. I have one lazy cat myself and am a HUGE animal lover. I look after my friends’ dogs often. I’m looking forward to meeting some cute pups I can hang out with so we can all stay active together this summer! 🐾 I’m a high school Library Media Specialist, so I’m off work for the summer! I also work part time at a brewery, but my schedule is pretty open. I am currently unable to board any pets since I’m renting. While caring for your best friends, I am judgement-free and will be respectful of your space and privacy!
“Steph is AWESOME! She is reliable and trustworthy and SO GREAT with our dog. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pet with love and kindness and do what is best for them, stop looking and book her now. Communication is top-notch, and she also provided us with photos of our dog while in her care. We plan to go to Steph for all our future drop-in visits. Highly recommend for drop-in visits or dog sitting in her home or yours!”

About: I’m an experienced and reliable dog-dad and pet caregiver offering walking and feeding services tailored to your pet’s unique needs. I’ve been a dog parent for 6 years to my sweet (and very high-anxiety!) pup, Lady, so I’m especially comfortable working with pets who may be shy, nervous, or need a little extra patience and care. Whether your pet is high-energy or low-key, I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Let me know how I can help! I am currently in Flight School here in Frederick so my schedule varies day to day; however, I am only ever “committed” to flying for approximately 3-4 hours a day, 2-3 times a week, so I have plenty of spare time to utilize. I have a high-anxiety dog at home myself so I’ve learned how to read dog’s emotions well and understand when they need their own space or perhaps they need a little extra love and attention to distract them or burn off some energy.

About: 🐾 About Me Hi there! I’m Kiara — a lifelong animal lover with over 14 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities. From tiny, timid pups to big, energetic adventurers, I’ve learned that every dog has their own unique way of showing love — and I adore getting to know each one. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets through professional services, friends, and families, providing everything from daily walks and cuddle time to medication administration and overnight stays. My priority is always to make your pets feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. 🐶 What You Can Expect • Reliable, communicative, and attentive care • Plenty of photo updates so you can relax while you’re away • A calm, loving environment with playtime, snuggles, and routine care • Experience with senior dogs and pets who need medication Whether your pup loves a long walk, a cozy nap, or just someone to keep them company, I’m here to give them the same love and attention I’d want for my own fur babies. Can’t wait to meet your four-legged family member! 💕 I’m currently focusing on school, because of that I have a very flexible schedule which gives me a bit of extra time to take care of your pets weather is at your home or overnight at mines. I always ask the pet owners what is their daily routine with their fur babies and I will of course continue on with that same daily routine in my own home. I have a small dog and cat who love to cuddle and play! Your fur babies won’t be bored one bit!
About: I have two dogs of my own, and I am quite experienced with handling dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I have received training on how to better understand the signals that dogs give us in order to determine how they are feeling (scared, excited, cautious, angry, etc.), and I have applied that training to my previous job at a doggy daycare countless times. I graduated college in December of 2016, and I’m still figuring out how to combine my Hospitality Management degree and my passion for caring for animals! I really enjoy dog walking because I find happiness in knowing that I provide comfort and peace of mind to those owners who aren’t able to be with their fur babies in the middle of the day!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Frederick
Shelby was fantastic. It was a pleasure to meet her briefly ahead of the planned visits. She took time to connect with the pups so she wouldn’t be “stranger danger” to them, asked about likes and quirks, and from the pics, they had a blast with her. Super communicative and we had a great, worry-free time knowing they were in her care. Thanks, Shelby! We’ll be booking again!

We were lucky enough to be her very first client on Rover, and we can already tell she is going to be wonderful. She took such great care of our senior dog, who can be picky about going outside depending on the weather. Rather than forcing the issue, she patiently tried to coax her out and, when my dog wasn’t having it, she simply stayed in and cuddled with her instead. That kind of patience and attentiveness means everything when it comes to an older dog. We could tell our girl loved her right away! We have already recommended her to a few friends, and we will absolutely be booking her again.

Sarah was absolutely wonderful with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Bella! This was my first time using Rover, so naturally this dog mommy was a little nervous leaving my baby in someone else’s care—but Sarah immediately put my mind at ease. She was reliable, communicative, caring, and sent thoughtful updates with photos during every visit, which meant so much while I was away. I loved seeing where Bella was walked and getting those check-ins—it truly helped me relax and enjoy my trip knowing Bella was in such good hands. When I returned home, Bella was happy, well cared for, and clearly had been given love and attention. Sarah also followed Bella’s routine and special instructions, which I really appreciated. I would absolutely book with Sarah again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and attentive to care for their fur baby! 💚🐶

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
