Pet care is currently my primary focus, so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate everything from daily walks to occasional overnight stays. Because I'm actively searching for my next full time position, I have plenty of availability to give pets the time, attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve.

My goal is to keep your pet's routine as normal and stress free as possible while you're away. I'll follow your care instructions closely, pay attention to your pet's body language and individual needs, and provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection. I treat every home with respect and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. My camera roll is already full of pictures of my own dog, as well as my friends' and family's pets, so you can expect no shortage of photo updates while your pet is in my care!

A typical day
My ideal walk includes exploring local trails, spending time in nature, discovering new swimming spots, or, if we're downtown, strolling through the park and maybe stopping at a dog friendly café. Whatever your pup's speed is, I can match it! Whether it's a long, enriching adventure, a leisurely walk, or a social outing, I'll make sure they have a fun time.

Hi! I’m Genevieve! I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals and have been pet sitting and dog walking for about 13 years. Larger dogs are definitely my specialty, but I grew up with small dogs as well and am comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I have extensive experience with rescue dogs, high energy breeds, and dogs with behavioral or special needs. I adopted my own pit bull from a euthanasia list and have spent years working through reactivity and behavioral challenges with her, which has given me a strong understanding of canine body language, patience, and maintaining consistent training routines. I’ve also worked with groups of dogs in shelter and pack environments, including living and working at a remote animal shelter in Greece. I’ve had five cats of my own throughout my life, so I’m comfortable caring for cats as well. I also grew up around farm animals and have experience caring for horses, donkeys, chickens, and other animals. I believe good pet care goes beyond the basics. I’m happy to dedicate whatever time is needed to make sure your pets are well cared for, mentally stimulated, enriched, exercised, and, of course, very loved. Whether they want to play, explore, practice their training, or simply have some company, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at!

Genevieve has been such a blessing for us! Our dog, Nellie, who is a Boxer and cat, Olive, are our babies. Leaving them with a pet sitter made us nervous, but Genevieve eased our nerves. She sent updates, photos, and recorded bathroom breaks for each visit. She provided enrichment for our cat while ensuring our boxer was also properly enriched with long walks and proper play. She followed all of my instructions for each pet which was appreciated. This was very important for us, as we require a pet sitter knowledgeable in cats and also large bully breed dogs. Genevieve has her own large breed dog, which also helped put me at ease knowing she is used to dealing with large dogs. She is very knowledgeable on dog behavior and assured us that our reactive dog would be in good hands, especially on walks where she requires the most attention. As someone who is very picky with pet care, I would 100% recommend her to my family or friends. We’ll be using Genevieve in the future for vacations. Thank you, Genevieve!
Genevieve was amazing with my pup, Ollie! She truly treats him like he is her own. He especially loves how patient she is with him when he wants to play unlimited rounds of fetch!
