Valerie is the only rover sitter I've ever worked with and honestly I never want to switch to a new person. She is FANTASTIC! So patient with my very nervous pup and gives her love like she is her own. I wish I could give 10 stars!

About: As a recently graduated high school student, I’ve taken part in numerous veterinary classes, shelter start-up programs, and many other events that advance my experience with dogs and other animals alike. To be transparent, I am looking to make a bit of money before college starts and would love to help others in need with their furry friends :)) My availability remains open all day, with 3 other people in my house. I have practice from 7-9 pm but that would be the only time I’d be away from the house. I am extremely flexible and am more than happy to bend availability for the benefit of your pets! I have a 2 acre fenced in back yard, along with two other very friendly dogs (labradors aged 8 and 12) who are more than willing to play. I am also more than happy with allowing animals on furniture if you’d like. Treats, of course, will be provided and at the ready.

About: Lifelong experience caring for dogs, cats and a horse and studying psychology in college. I believe quality time for bonding, play and affection is just as important as food/potty breaks for pet happiness. The best part of pet sitting is the quality time spent with your pet after all the business is done! I have a flexible schedule so I'm able to make most times work. I can walk, feed, water, scrub bowls, medicate (comfortable administering oral meds to dogs and cats), clean up as needed, play with and generally whatever is needed to keep your pet on a regular schedule. We have 2 friendly smaller dogs and a dog door & ramp straight out to the fenced backyard. The house is one level with only 1 step in and out. There are crates set up in multiple locations and there are ways to separate animals safely if ever needed. Someone is home all day every day, pets are never kept without heat or AC.

About: I have a certificate as a vet assistant. I also have lots of experience dog sitting and even have a pet rabbit. I have taken care of younger dogs, as well as older dogs. I will be continuing my education to become a veterinary technician! I have all summer to care and love on your animals! I have one week where I will be on vacation but other than that I would love to be there for your animals and provide the care and love that they need!!! I do not have a fenced yard, and I currently have a bunny too. So it would be better to be at your home or if needed I can keep them at my house and can be caged if needed to be.

About: For me I think it’s the fact that animals just warm up to me very quickly. I’ve had owners who are shocked when their pet who normally doesn’t like new people right away is wagging their tail and letting me pet them within minutes or when I send them pics of their pet on my lap or sleeping next to me! I’m also not intimidated easily, I don’t make a big deal if I get jumped on, etc. But overall I think just them seeing their pet content makes them feel at ease and they’ll give me a great review and use me again for future sits. I also try and send them lots of updates and pictures during the stay too! I am Very flexible and open!! I am currently unemployed but taking college classes at FCC, Therefore I am available everyday besides Monday’s and Wednesday’s I make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and followed according to the owner’s instructions. I pay attention to feeding schedules, water, walks, and bathroom breaks. In someone else’s home, I respect their space, keep things clean, and make sure the pet stays calm and supervised. In my own home, I do the exact same for my fur babies as I would in others homes.

Alexis was a great caregiver for my sweet, old cat. On the first day, when Kippy did not appear to get her food and meds, Alexis searched and found her hiding place, thus ensuring Kippy got what she needed that morning. Alexis’s kind and gentle demeanor soon made Kippy lose her fear and she began greeting Alexis at the door. I would definitely hope Alexis was available the next time I need Killy care.

Mikayla is absolutely wonderful. She watched our two dogs and one cat. It was a challenge to handle two elderly dogs that needed to be walked on hot days and a very particular cat that missed mommy. We felt totally secure knowing they were in her hands. We highly recommend Mikayla.

About: With over 20 years of hands-on experience, caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s been a lifelong passion. From a young age, I’ve been surrounded by animals and have dedicated my life to understanding and supporting their needs. I am a certified veterinary assistant and have worked professionally as a veterinary technician in a veterinary office in Utah, giving me a strong medical background and the ability to recognize and respond to a wide range of health and behavioral concerns. My experience also includes working in multiple kennels across many states where I cared for both dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. This has given me the skills to handle everything from energetic puppies to senior pets requiring extra patience and care. At home, I’m a proud pet owner myself. I have a 13-year-old Chihuahua that I’ve raised since he was a puppy, as well as an 11-year-old pit bull mix I rescued from a shelter in 2017, and my beloved cat I adopted in 2023. My own pets have given me firsthand experience with aging animals, rescue care, and the importance of providing a safe, loving environment. When you trust me with your pet, you can feel confident knowing they will be treated like family—with compassion, experience, and the highest level of care. I am open most days, as I homeschool my child. Saturday afternoons are usually reserved for personal time but I am available in the morning and night. I can let your dog out in your back yard, take them for a walk, clean litter boxes, do playtime, give food, water, and medications on their schedule.

About: With years of hands-on pet care experience, I bring a deep understanding of animal behavior and needs. My skills in providing compassionate, attentive, and reliable care ensure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved. This dedication and expertise truly set me apart from others in pet sitting. I am free usually any day of the week, but work Tuesday and Friday mornings until 10:30 and have training in the afternoons on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. I treat every animal the same, with love, respect, and care. I play with them, take them on nice and long walks. About: I have a variety of experience with dogs of every age, breed, and temperament. A few years ago, I cared for my senior dog and helped him with mobility, comfort, and daily medical routines. Now, I’m caring for two young dogs (ages 2 & 3) that I’ve trained myself from when they were puppies. Along with personal experience, I have school-based veterinary training, including first aid, administering medications, and knowledge with health concerns. I also spent a year working as a professional dog walker at a boarding facility to learn professionalism. Overall, I have a mix of compassion, knowledge, and training to give every pet the proper care. I am a student currently, so I’m available anytime from 3pm-10pm on weekdays or anytime from 7am-10pm on the weekends. I give myself a wide range of availability so I am able to take longer visits, multiple walks, and provide more flexibility in scheduling. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I follow their routines exactly, pay close attention to their comfort, and make sure they feel happy. On walks, I use secure leashes and stay attentive at all times. In client homes, I’m careful with doors, gates, and belongings, prioritizing pet safety. My goal is to create a safe, caring environment where I can build trusting relationships with each pet.

About: I have had several pets through my life and all have had different personalities. Adapting to them to make them comfortable is important. I also have helped family take care of their new puppies. I’m very comfortable and understanding when dealing with puppies. Currently I can do any time! I don’t mind having an early morning or late night drop in. I am very flexible and want to make this easy for YOU! Just communicate what you need and it’ll be great. I want the animal to be as comfy as possible. Sometimes their human leaving can be stressful! I want to meet them where it’s needed. Not have their routines thrown off.

Currently, I am a Junior at Flagler College! I work remote for my job in Maryland, but I also am working on my own pet sitting business, I Stay, U Go!! While I do not take dogs in my own home, when it comes to the clients home I work pretty much entirely from there house, but may have to go into work from time to time. We appreciate Elspeth's help in taking care of our chocolate lab Ziggy while we were on a day trip. She is an excellent communicator and very conscientious, and it was clear she did a fine job taking care of Ziggy's needs for a potty break, food, and play. She will be our go-to sitter whenever she's available.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
