“Kaylie did a great job dropping in for my cats Panda and Sakura. She sent amazing messages and photos and the cats were happy and well taken care of. I would use her again for future care.”

About: Lifelong experience caring for dogs, cats and a horse and studying psychology in college. I believe quality time for bonding, play and affection is just as important as food/potty breaks for pet happiness. The best part of pet sitting is the quality time spent with your pet after all the business is done! I have a flexible schedule so I'm able to make most times work. I can walk, feed, water, scrub bowls, medicate (comfortable administering oral meds to dogs and cats), clean up as needed, play with and generally whatever is needed to keep your pet on a regular schedule. We have 2 friendly smaller dogs and a dog door & ramp straight out to the fenced backyard. The house is one level with only 1 step in and out. There are crates set up in multiple locations and there are ways to separate animals safely if ever needed. Someone is home all day every day, pets are never kept without heat or AC.
About: 13 years experience in animal welfare. I was a previous animal control officer and also work in the animal shelter as an animal care technician. I have an abundance of animal care knowledge and love for animals. I’m currently unemployed as I just moved to the area and waiting to start working at a new shelter, so I have plenty of free times As someone who was a previous animal control officer, I always make sure animals are in a safe environment since they would be in my care

About: As a life long dog parent and animal lover, I know what owners look for when getting a sitter; someone who is attentive, caring, and responsible. I have almost a decade of experience pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors alike! Growing up with a veterinarian for an uncle also helped me acquire extra knowledge for those “in case of emergency” moments. I work at an elementary school and am used to watching other peoples kids throughout the day. Pet sitting usually involves a bit less talking back, not as much noise at lunch, and about the same amount of running around. But my philosophy is to lead with love and always and everything can be done with a bit of fun. I am available overnight every day! Monday-Thursday: 4 am-7am, 4pm-9pm Friday: 4am-7am, 4pm-all night Saturday: All day, All night Sunday: All day-8pm I will treat your home as well as I will treat your fur babies, and that is incredibly well! I pinkie promise I will treat your pets as if they’re my own. Pinkie promises are sacred to me.
“We could not be more thrilled with the updates, extra care and tips/training our pups (and us) got from Lin. We look forward to having her be a part of our story for a while!”

About: I have a medium sized boxer and used to have a large boxer. While I don’t have dog sitting experience, I love dogs (especially big dogs) I am a full time student, graduating in May. So while I am very busy, my schedule will open up. I have off on tuesdays and a short day on mondays that are both open pets, along with the weekends! I have an electric fence for my dog, we feed her twice a day and let her out as often as possible. We recently started letting her stay home without being in the crate. But I am willing to care for your dog however you would like!

About: I have always had animals in my house growing up and I am so excited to get to know yours! I love to play, walk, and cuddle with pets. I understand that cleaning up after them is also important for you and your animal! I am home for the summer so I will have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I am available most weekdays and most weekends! I am a confident and loving owner of animals so I am not afraid of any animals. I will gladly do whatever you and your pet need!
About: I have been taking care of dogs most of my life whether it be the 2 dogs that have been part of my family or taking care of neighbors dogs when they are out of town. I currently work part time so my schedule for pet care is very flexible and I would be available at most hours of the day. I have experience taking care of older dogs who just need someone to hang out with and I’ve taken care of younger hyper dogs that warrant extra attention. I am comfortable walking dogs on and off leash and crating them if need be.
About: I have about 2 years of experience caring for pets for friends and family, including feeding, cleaning, and spending quality time with them. I’m especially comfortable with cats and calm, low-maintenance pets, and I make sure they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. I’m patient, attentive, and good at following specific care instructions, whether that’s feeding schedules, medications, or just giving pets the attention they need. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to check in on pets throughout the day. I can also spend full days, I’m able to do morning, afternoon, and evening visits depending on what the pet needs. I’m also comfortable sticking closely to feeding, walking, and medication schedules so pets stay on their normal routine as much as possible. Weekly, I can commit to recurring care or one-time bookings depending on availability. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize safety, routine, and respect for the space. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, litter box care, medications, and any special needs. I always pay attention to body language and behavior to make sure pets feel comfortable and stress-free. I keep the environment calm and consistent, making sure pets have fresh water, clean spaces, and attention based on their personality whether that means playtime, affection, or giving them space. I also make sure doors, windows, and litter areas are secure and clean before leaving. My goal is to make pets feel safe and cared for while giving owners peace of mind.
“Logan, once again, does an absolute amazing job with the pups! He is very attentive, persistent, and great with our dogs! Will always recommend him for any dog sitting/Drop in visits. Thanks Logan!”

“Samantha is a great dog-sitter! She was prompt, attentive, kind, and great with our pups! She was even great with our “problem child” dog who is nervous around new people. I wouldn’t hesitate to rehire her and would recommend her to anyone who values a dog-sitter who cares, follows directions, and who is great with pets! Thank you Samantha!!”

“We love Jessica! It was our first time leaving our senior dog for the weekend and I was nervous. Jessica is genuinely nice and excellent with our pets. Communication was great and she sends pictures every time which really eased my mom heart. We have already booked her again!”

“Nora did a drop-in visit for me this evening. Great communication, sent pictures of her with the dogs in the back yard. Looking forward to having her take care of them in the future!”
“Super duper dogwatch trooper! Provided regular updates and timely pics. Great attention to detail, remembering little quirks I told her about our dog. I’d say even nicer things, but I’d rather keep her a secret ;)”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life. Enjoy exercising and playing to help keep them healthy. Have trained multiple dogs through classes from puppy to older dogs. Currently, I have a flexible schedule and can make most times work with a Monday to Friday schedule. Let me know how I can be of service to aid in taking care of your dog! I treat each dog as if they were my own, respect, kindness and compassion. Whether we are playing fetch, going for a walk or enjoying some belly rubs!

About: I have experience working in a doggy daycare/boarding kennel for over a year, where I played with, loved on, fed, and took extremely attentive care of over 100 dogs a day. I also have dog-sat for the same two families multiple times every year since 2020. I am a college student who is at home for the summer! Just reach out and I’ll let you know! 😉 In my home, I have two dogs who I am constantly paying attention to, caring for and giving a lot of love to. And other people’s homes I keep an eye on all of the dogs that I take care of, and tend to never let them out of my sight (I also make sure they get all the loving as I would my own dogs). I love to play with dogs and get all of their energy out so when families get home they don’t have much work to do. and other people’s homes I also keep a very tidy space and leave every place cleaner than I found it!
About: I have been an animal lover my whole life. I have previous work experience at a kennel. Most importantly, I am certified in pet CPR and First Aid. I have a 3 acre yard with an invisible fence. My neighborhood is a very nice place to take walks in. I also believe your pets should be comfortable, so if I come to your home I will make sure to take care of everything.
Mount Airy dog parents share their Rover experiences
Leslie was awesome! She was able to come help us with short notice and even made the time to come by and meet our pup before dropping in on him. We could tell he felt comfortable with her right away and had a great time playing in the yard. We would definitely hire Leslie again to drop in our dog.
