Ruby was just finishing her first heat and scheduled to be spayed after we returned from our vacation, and having an unspayed dog was no problem for Pam. She does not take in a bunch of dogs at once, which works out perfectly for Ruby, since she seems to cling to one dog at a time when she plays.
