“It was our first time with Marylee and I loved the fact that she took the time to get to know us and Cosmo. I felt confident leaving him for three days with her. Marylee was super communicative while we were gone and sent us photos twice a day which I loved receiving. He had such a great time and was taken such good care that I wasn’t sure he would want to come back (lol!). Marylee was also very accommodating and flexible as there was an unexpected schedule change we needed to make right before our date. She was very quick to respond which also made me feel confident. Cosmo is our third baby (after two human babies) and we felt so good leaving him in her care. Looking forward to him having more future stays with Marylee. Cosmo had an absolute ball. He was exhausted when he came back and slept for a whole day when he came back (lol!)”

“Min and Matt were a last minute booking, but they worked out so well. I was even able to stay an extra day on my vacation while they kept my pup. They made sure to walk and play with him multiple times a day. He was very well cared for and smiled his time at their house. I would highly recommend using them in the future.”

“Amazing with our dog —she loves them both. Very kind, caring, and communicative. This is our third stay with Marne and John. It was really nice to know she was safe and happy while we were away.”

“Sophia was wonderful! Our two little spoiled dogs were treated like family. We have already told our little dog loving neighbors and friends! We have finally found a "home" to leave our dogs when we travel. Thanks Sophia.”

“Kelly is wonderful. We have left our doodle in her care multiple times and our doodle is always happy to see her and to meet up with the other dogs in her care. Kelly always sends pics of our dog which we look forward to seeing. We highly recommend her as a sitter.”

“Ana and her family showered Mowgli with cuddles, attention and lots of walks! We received several pictures throughout the day and communication was prompt. He came back happy and tired - all signs of a great stay!”

“Nancy is an amazing dog sitter!!!! She is more than a sitter, she treats our dog Mochi as if he were her own family. She makes sure all his needs are met and gives him individual love. She followed all of our requests to a tee. She kept us informed every day and all day with pictures and updates. We will 100% continue to use Nancy in the future.”

About: I’ve had my own dogs for 20 yrs. I’ve fostered abused dogs for 10 yrs. Dogs are my therapy, they bring me peace and I love spending my time with them. I have been a special education teacher in Montgomery county for over 25 yrs. I have evenings, weekends and holidays available to care for pets. I try to spend my time with animals because they bring me joy and peace amongst the chaos. I have one very large, playful 3 yr. Old Great Pyrenees. He loves making new friends and playing until he falls asleep. I live on an unfenced 40 acre farm. My dog has an e collar so visitors would need a long lead for outdoor walks. I can easily crate overnight but I let the dogs roam during the day with scheduled walks.
“Renee always so loving to our dog Lily. She offers plenty of opportunities for play and cuddles. I recieve frequent updates and Lily always seemed to be right at home! Love that she has experience with pet sitting and it very aware of each individual dog in her care! :)”

“Raghavi and her family were great. From the start, they made sure to get to know Archie and understand his needs, and Archie was very comfortable with the family as well as their dog, Simba. If you’re looking for a sitter who will love and care your pet like their own, I highly recommend Raghavi!”
“Terri had great communication and we were able to do a meet and greet before the stay. She sent us great pictures and updates and would greatly recommend her to watch your pets!”

“Ashoka and his family treated my puppy like family. They went on many walks, sent tons of pics and kept in great communication while we were out of town. He was also very accommodating when I had delays with my flight. Many thanks to him. We will definitely book with him again!”

“Exceeded my expectations as a dog sitter! They were professional, caring, and communicated with me regularly while I was away. They sent updates and pictures, which really put my mind at ease. My dog bonded with them quickly, and it was clear they were in good hands. I came back to a happy and relaxed pup, which speaks volumes about the quality of care provided. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!”

“James & Mary were outstanding sitters for my pup. It was the longest I’ve been away from her since rescuing her just under a year ago. They were so consistent in sending pictures and updates. I never worried about her well-being or how she was adjusting to a new environment. They have a great space to care for pets and were attentive to her. Would absolutely use them again and refer friends to them.”
“Kacy took such great care of our dog! We were able to enjoy our trip with no worries about her at all. Many photos and videos of her so we could see how she was doing along with notes from Kacy. Definitely 5 + star rating and will absolutely have our dog vacation with Kacy in the future!”

Rui was amazing with our pup! She sent lots of pictures and updates and we could tell he had so much fun! She even gave him a bath before we got home and had all of his bedding freshly laundered. We could tell he got lots of play time because he was super tired when he came home ☺️ We will absolutely not hesitate to use her again!

Sneha was so supportive and helpful caring for Binky. Thank you so much for hosting Binky recently and for all the pictures and updates throughout Binky Stay! All the pictures that you have shared show she had a fabulous time like home with you and your family.! can say Binky found her second home👍

We found Soumen at the last minute when we needed someone to care for Lilo over the weekend. He took excellent care of her and kept us updated regularly with photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. Lilo looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for throughout her stay. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely book with Soumen again. Highly recommend!
Glenn is amazing! He took wonderful care of Ovi and made the entire experience stress-free. He is friendly, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about the pets he watches. He is always responsive to messages, provides updates, and is ready to help whenever needed. Glenn creates a true home-away-from-home environment, and I felt completely comfortable leaving Ovi in his care. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
