“Boarding with Ellen was outstanding. We had a family emergency that made taking our large dog with us impossible. He’s five-years old and had never been away from home - I am sure it was challenging for him. While not aggressive or disobedient, at about 120lbs he can be intimidating. Ellen was clearly very comfortable with him during our meet and greet visit and was very confident he’d be fine with her. He absolute was! She made him very at home on her beautiful farmette with her pack of critters. They all looked clean and loved. I noted her calmness with the dogs and confidence in their interaction under her watchful eye. The dogs have plenty of space to run and socialize. She made sure we gave her his “regular” food and medications, and verified other foods he would be allowed to have. She sent regular updates and photos during his stay. Each action shot was accompanied by a thoughtful narrative of the photo. We really enjoyed pictures of his quiet time, napping with the other dogs in her home was comforting. They all looked content. We needed an extra day of boarding because of the unpredictability of our travel and Ellen made it so easy. Our dog made new friends and we did too.”

About: I've been a dog-mom to three very different dogs—a German Shepherd, a Rottweiler, and an Indian street dog rescue—over nearly 30 years. They were always part of the family, traveling with us across the world through military assignments and other moves. I recently said goodbye to Daisy, my loyal companion of 13 years, leaving a big hole in my heart. I have a hybrid work schedule and very few time-bound commitments, making my schedule very flexible. About: I have raised my own dog since she was ten weeks old, mentored by my father who has raised three litters of puppies throughout his life. The best part of pet sitting is the quality time spent with your pet after all the business is done! I have a flexible schedule so I'm able to make most times work. I can walk, feed, water, scrub bowls, medicate (comfortable administering oral meds to dogs and cats), clean up as needed, play with and generally whatever is needed to keep your pet on a regular schedule. We have 2 friendly smaller dogs and a dog door & ramp straight out to the fenced backyard. The house is one level with only 1 step in and out. There are crates set up in multiple locations and there are ways to separate animals safely if ever needed. Someone is home all day every day, pets are never kept without heat or AC.

About: We have owned at least 2 dogs at any given time for the past 30 years and truly believe no home is complete without at least 4 paws. Our family currently has 3 dogs, with plenty of room for furry friend visitors in our 4500 square foot house and acre-and-a-half fenced in yard. I can walk, feed, water, scrub bowls, medicate (comfortable administering oral meds to dogs and cats), clean up as needed, play with and generally whatever is needed to keep your pet on a regular schedule. We have 2 friendly smaller dogs and a dog door & ramp straight out to the fenced backyard. The house is one level with only 1 step in and out. There are crates set up in multiple locations and there are ways to separate animals safely if ever needed. Someone is home all day every day, pets are never kept without heat or AC.

“I booked Amber for twice a week dog walks. She came over to meet Rosie,, my lab mix, knelt down, and my dog immediately bonded with her. Before she left she was getting kisses from my shy dog. When she came for the first walk, Rosie left with her enthusiastically. My dog gets so excited seeing her car come in the driveway! Amber has been able able to keep control of Rosie when she spots squirrels and wants to chase. Rosie comes back with a big grin after her walks, tired and happy. About: I have raised my own dog since she was ten weeks old, mentored by my father who has raised three litters of puppies throughout his life. I have also done pet-sitting for friends and family for dogs as small as beagle puppies to as large as a Labrador. I am currently on summer break from graduate school, but I take five- mile walks every morning year-round. As my classes are in the evening, I can fit dog-walking into my schedule in the mornings and early afternoons. I am attentive and responsible for my pets needs, and take pride in ensuring that the animals I care for are happy and healthy. I have a nine-year-old mixed breed dog who enjoys her daily walks and sunbathing on the deck, but does not enjoy the company of other dogs very much.

“Boarding with Ellen was outstanding. We had a family emergency that made taking our large dog with us impossible. He’s five-years old and had never been away from home - I am sure it was challenging for him. While not aggressive or disobedient, at about 120lbs he can be intimidating. Ellen was clearly very comfortable with him during our meet and greet visit and was very confident he’d be fine with her. He absolute was! She made him very at home on her beautiful farmette with her pack of critters. They all looked clean and loved. I noted her calmness with the dogs and confidence in their interaction under her watchful eye. The dogs have plenty of space to run and socialize. She made sure we gave her his “regular” food and medications, and verified other foods he would be allowed to have. She sent regular updates and photos during his stay. Each action shot was accompanied by a thoughtful narrative of the photo. We really enjoyed pictures of his quiet time, napping with the other dogs in her home was comforting. They all looked content. We needed an extra day of boarding because of the unpredictability of our travel and Ellen made it so easy. Our dog made new friends and we did too.”
