“Words cannot express my satisfaction having Annette look after Axel. Learning of her experience with fosters it was a no brainer to book with her. My experience dropping off and picking up, seeing her interact with my boy and hearing how she handled situations with him, solidified she will be my go to sitter. It was wonderful peace of mind to know Axel would be taken care of in a lovely home environment.”

“Another great stay for Kingsley at his favorite place on earth! Evvery takes such great care of Kingsley and it's always a joy to know he's being loved while we're away :)”
“Poh Huey is absolutely amazing. She took great care of our dog Belle recently when we were out of town. She was responsive, courteous, and very professional. Huey was genuinely attentive to Belle, which was greatly appreciated. She provides video/photo updates. Her fenced backyard with artificial turf provides a safety and clean playground for dogs. Her two dogs are super friendly. Huey is the best!!”

“Alex and Christina are totally awesome people!! Back in June, my son and I spontaneously went out of town, we needed to find a place for our French Bulldog, Darth Vader. I heard about Rover.com and decided to give it a try since Vader did not do well in the kennel last year. In my search I found this lovely couple and gave it a try. We loved them so much, that this was our 2nd time that Vader has stayed with them!! Alex and Christina have a fantastic set up and know how to handle dogs. When Vader arrived, they introduced him by keeping him in a room separated by a baby gate so the animals have a chance to get used to each other. Their dogs are well behaved and are used to having new friends around, they don't bother much. From the moment I dropped Vader off, I knew he was in good hands. They treat your pup as part of their family. Christina was very responsive, sent pics and videos when she was able to do so, she even sent Vader home with a bone he had commandeered. I would 100%, hands down, recommend them! If you are searching for the best place to leave your pet, look no further and book your time with Alex and Christina!!”

“Matt was super easy to work with and took good care of our Aussie, who was hesitant to leave him when we went to pick her up! It’s so nice to find a dog sitter who works from home like we do. Highly recommend Matt.”

“Anna took such great care of our German shepherd, was communicative and understanding when we had an unexpected travel change. She was more than accommodating and went above and beyond to help given our travel issue. Anna’s house is great for any dog, her dogs are very sweet and her family is awesome. I cannot recommend enough and we will book with her again 1000%”

“Thank you Jaxon for taking great care of Mae And Falkor, our two senior goldendoodles. They were well loved and seemed very happy staying with him and his family. He sent regular photos and updates. Falkor assumed his regular spot, comfortably laying on his back mid sofa. Jaxon gave medication no problem. He has a large grass backyard.”

“Teddy just came home from spending 3 nights with Ali and her family. When I picked him up he was all brushed out and handsome and he came home with a surprise toy that Ali gave him. These little extras separate her from other pet sitters. When he got home he was a bit out of sorts, but I think he just misses playing with her daughter and all the extra attention he got. I highly recommend Ali's pet sitting services.”

“Our ageing dog was in amazing care with plenty of time to socialize and attention to specific care instructions. Everything went perfect. Thank you Kathryn and all of your amazing helpers. 💛👏👏”

“Our dog loved her stay with Lily! She especially loved the big fenced backyard and playing with Lily’s Pomeranian Ted. Lily was wonderful about sending us updates and lots of pictures. I would highly recommend Lily and we are so happy that we found a home away from home for our dog!”

“Our puppy Midas had a great time with Marne and John! They took great care of him while we were away and sent many photos to let us know how he was doing. We would definitely have him stay with them again!”

“Barbara did a wonderful job caring for our dog. She provided daily photo updates and consistent communication, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was clearly well cared for and happy. I would absolutely book Barbara again and highly recommend her.”

“Kathleen and her family were great! They always take good care of our Blue and the girls are so loving with her! We love getting our daily updates and they made sure to let us know if there was anything going on with our girl. They were super flexible when we were delayed with our flight which was greatly appreciated. We will definitely use them again, thanks Kathleen!!”

“Jax was so well cared for in Joanne’s care. She is delightful and took Jax pretty much on a last minute notice. She always has a smile on her face and was a joy to work with. Jax was well adjusted being back home.”

“Fantastic time was had by all! Brianna is a warm soul who knows dogs, detailed, and observant! I looked forward to her message updates and pictures of the pups while i was away on a trip.”

“Mindy was fantastic with Loopy! She was incredibly responsive and sent us fantastic videos of Loopy playing with the other pups and going on walks on the local nature trails! Loopy ended up with an ear infection between when she confirmed taking him and when he would be dropped off and knowing he wouldn’t be contagious without hesitation she agreed to give him oral and topical medication! Mindy was fantastic, flexibility and we highly recommend her and her family for dog sitting!”

About: Hi! I'm Yesi, and I work from home full-time, which means visiting dogs receive plenty of attention, supervision, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. We understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your dog, and I strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where dogs can feel at home while you're away. Because I work remotely, your dog won't be left alone for long periods. Whether they enjoy playing, exploring the yard, going for walks, or simply relaxing on the couch, I'll do my best to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I have the most experience with small and medium-sized dogs, but I am also open to larger breeds, as long as they are friendly, well-socialized, and a good fit for my home. “I wish we lived next door to Jill! She is the most loving dog person I have ever met in my life. My dog loves staying with her and her dog, which is his "Big Brother". He's so busy in Jill's gorgeous backyard sniffing things and following Buddha around. And then they can lay on her shady porch and take in the day. He has a much better time with Jill than he does at his own house! Jill takes the time to put him on her lap and spoil him rotten with hugs and kisses every day. I can't imagine leaving him with someone else! We book our vacations around Jill's availability -- Dog Whisperer Extraordinaire!”

Victoria is exactly the type of person that you hope would be on this app. She was very communicative and easy to work with. I was completely confident that my babies would be safe with her and didn’t worry about anything. I’m beyond grateful that she accepted my boarding request. Thanks for taking care of my furry babies.

Ollie spent a weekend at Victoria’s. He had a great time playing with her golden retriever Gus and didn’t want to go home when we picked him up. Victoria gave us a ton of updates throughout the weekend, with lots of cute videos, and overall was a great experience for all!

Alex and Christina are amazing and we are deeply grateful to them. No one else has watched our sassy senior dog for many years now -- she is exclusive and only stays with the best of the best :). They have taken wonderful care of her from her wild youthful years to her current mature state. Christina and Alex are both very competent, observant, and careful with dogs. They are also very responsive. Our dog is clean, safe, and comfortable there. We can't thank them enough.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
