“Linda did a great job of taking care of Ace. He had a great time at her place and she kept me updated on how he was doing and sent pictures several times during the stay. Will definitely contact her again in the future.”

“We had a great experience with Nicole taking care of our pug, Memo, for about a week. She was super nice and easy to work with from the start. From the meet and greet, we knew Memo was going to love her. She kept us updated every day on how Memo was doing, and we really like the photos and videos she sent. It really made it a lot easier being away from him. You could tell right away that Memo was comfortable and happy with her and her husband. They treated him like their own and made sure he got plenty of attention and walks. We’d definitely use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their dog.”

“Erika was an amazing sitter for my puppy Ace. This was the first time Ace has been away from both his parents, but his weekend stay with Erica made him feel right at home. I let her know that I love getting pictures and videos. And she came through she let me see that Ace was being loved and well cared for. And she even made him extra tired for when I was coming to pick him up from a long trip so he came home and went right to sleep. Thank you so much for making our first experience so well. We will see you in July.😁😁”

“Thank you Miranda for taking such great care of my corgi. The regular updates with photos were a great comfort knowing my 4 footed friend was safe and having a great time!”

“Min and Matthew are so awesome! Daily photos and updates of my dog’s time with them gave me such peace while I was away. Their love for him and care for him was top notch in every way.”

“Anna took such great care of our German shepherd, was communicative and understanding when we had an unexpected travel change. She was more than accommodating and went above and beyond to help given our travel issue. Anna’s house is great for any dog, her dogs are very sweet and her family is awesome. I cannot recommend enough and we will book with her again 1000%”

“This was our first experience with Rover, so naturally we were a bit apprehensive, but I'm so glad Adysen was our first sitter! She was excellent, and our pup had a wonderful time!”

“5/5 Stars – Exceptional Care for Bella! We couldn't have asked for a better sitter for our sweet Bella during our trip. Dorian was great, responsive from the start, and he sent updates as soon as possible when I requested. Bella came home happy and relaxed. We definitely will book with him again in the future. If you're looking for someone who treats your dog like family, Dorian is your person, we highly recommend!”

“Ashoka and his amazing son watched our toy poodle for several days. I am so impressed at the love and attention they gave our dog . Several walks a day, cuddling, and sleeping together. I will always use them when away!”

About: Greetings! I am an experienced dog owner and pet sitter, and recently just lost my wonderful lab of 14.5 years. I'm experienced with puppies, adults, seniors, and everything in between, including any dog size petite to massive! I can administer medicine as well. We have a home about 4 blocks from Baker Park in a quiet neighborhood that is good for walks, and we have a fully fenced in backyard as well. I work from home M-F 8am to 5pm, and am generally home at all times. Occasionally I may step out for dinner with my wife or friends. I work from home Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and am generally home at all times. My schedule is fairly flexible during working hours, so I can take our furry friend out for many breaks and walks. I have a fenced in back yard in a quiet neighborhood that's good for walking as well, with parks close by. We love dogs, small to large, and would be happy to host yours.
“This was the first time we let our baby stay with someone we didn't know. Tara and her family were awesome. She sent pictures and updates several times a day. This really put us at ease that our baby was in good hands. I will definitely book with Tara again. Thank you Tara and family for taking such good care of Abby.”

“Jill was so thorough and careful to ensure Ruby was a good fit for dog sitting. She really wanted to know Ruby and her preferences. I enjoyed receiving updates and pictures of Ruby while we were away. My daughter appreciated the updates too. We were so lucky that Jill had availability and would most definitely recommend her to others!”

“She did an excellent job and let us know how our dog was doing everyday. We appreciated the pictures that she sent us to let us know that our dog was doing ok. Highly recommend and will be using her services again.”

“Great communication and extensive experience with dogs . Our Koji is a great dog , but he still gets the puppy excitement from time to time. Robin was prepared for everything. I really recommend her .”

“Recently moving to the area we didn’t have anyone to watch our dog during trips. Christina did a great job, sent pictures, and kept us updated. They will be our new go-to sitters. Thank you!”

“Victoria is exactly the type of person that you hope would be on this app. She was very communicative and easy to work with. I was completely confident that my babies would be safe with her and didn’t worry about anything. I’m beyond grateful that she accepted my boarding request. Thanks for taking care of my furry babies.”

“Samantha is truly a gem and cared for my dog like her own. She sent regular pics and videos. My dog felt at ease for 5 days with her. I wholeheartedly recommend her!!”

From tiny, timid pups to big, energetic adventurers, I’ve learned that every dog has their own unique way of showing love — and I adore getting to know each one. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets through professional services, friends, and families, providing everything from daily walks and cuddle time to medication administration and overnight stays. My priority is always to make your pets feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. 🐶 What You Can Expect • Reliable, communicative, and attentive care • Plenty of photo updates so you can relax while you’re away • A calm, loving environment with playtime, snuggles, and routine care • Experience with senior dogs and pets who need medication Whether your pup loves a long walk, a cozy nap, or just someone to keep them company, I’m here to give them the same love and attention I’d want for my own fur babies. Can’t wait to meet your four-legged family member! 💕 I’m currently focusing on school, because of that I have a very flexible schedule which gives me a bit of extra time to take care of your pets weather is at your home or overnight at mines. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Braddock Heights
Our pup had a surprise surgery earlier this summer and needed specific boundaries for healing, he received excellent care with Britney. She is an attentive pet sitter, gave fast responses to texts, sent pictures regularly, and picked up on his behaviors and patterns quickly. Brittney also keeps a clean and tidy home. We are so glad that Britney accepted our request!

This was my first time using a pet sitter. I've only taken my high anxiety dog a handful of times to a local boarding facility for 2 or 3 days at a time maximum. So to leave my dog with a stranger for 2 weeks where I'm at a different continent, was nerve-wracking to say the least. Ive met up with a few sitters on here and I can say that from the start Renee was very welcoming, knowledgeable, understanding, and had great communication. She voluntarily mentioned things like having an emergency vet nearby, thinking through other dogs that she'd be looking after at the same time and how all the dogs would fit together. She was asking all the right questions to learn about Trudie's routine and how to have her stay be as comfortable as possible. While I was away on vacation, she would send me daily updates on how Trudie is doing with accompanying pictures. She shared how her eating and potty habits were truthfully (which were all expected given how anxious my dog is and the new situation she's in). I was just hoping that Trudie would not be freaking out the entire time, I would have called that a win. So seeing pictures of Trudie on her back getting belly rubs was just beyond anything I could have hoped for. I truly felt comfortable while being thousands of miles away that my dog is in great hands. I rarely ever write reviews, but Renee truly deserves the recognition.

Lauren and her family took such great care of our golden retriever, Milo, for 2 nights! She was communicative, kind, and easy to coordinate with throughout the stay. Milo seemed like he had a great time and came home happy and relaxed. We’d definitely trust Lauren to watch him again and would highly recommend her!

Marne and John were fantastic host. Onyx was uneasy at the start, but warmed up to them over his stay. I also really appreciated their flexibility as my travel was slightly extended due to unforeseen circumstances. I definitely recommend using them for your dog stays!

Molly felt right at home with Christa and her family! We are so thankful to have such a wonderful and loving vacation home for Molly because we never have to worry about her while we're away. Christa and Patrick always take the best care of Molly, ensuring she stays active with lots of walks, too! We highly recommend Christa and Patrick, and can't wait for Molly's next stay!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
