“Rene did a great job with my girl, Spirit. It was her first stay away from home. I was nervous for how it would go because Spirit can be a lot at times (she’s a yapper). But she seemed comfortable from the moment we arrived. Rene also sent pictures and updates throughout Spirit’s stay which was awesome and further put me at ease. I will definitely be using her services again.”

“This was our second time with Priscilla, but her first time with two. She knocked it out of the park again. Daisy and Ivy were well cared for! Thanks again!”

“First time using this app and ever having anyone watch our dog overnight and couldn’t have been more satisfied. She took amazing care of our dog and always updated with pictures he definitely looked like a happy boy while we were gone would recommend to anyone and will definitely use again if ever needed thank you so much”

“Ruth and Agnes are simply amazing! I got reassurances when I was missing my pup. Then updates and pictures everyday. I could tell Dustin was spoiled with love. Thank you! Highly recommend anyone looking for a pup sitter.”

“Min & Matthew were great! My pup has some anxiety problems. They were very patient with her and were able to settle her down without using the medication I sent just in case she needed it. I loved all the pictures and videos. They gave our dog lots of love and snuggles. Will absolutely will be using them again in the future.”

“Thank you Miranda for taking such great care of my corgi. The regular updates with photos were a great comfort knowing my 4 footed friend was safe and having a great time!”

“Nala had a wonderful time with Erica, she can sometimes be anxy in new environments but she seemed like she was very comfortable at her place. I loved receiving pics and video updates. Erica was able to also calm my nerves as this was the first time I was leaving my dog with someone unknown. I would definitely book her again when need be in the future! ❤️”

“Nancy took excellent care of our dog, Benny! She took him on lots of walks and gave us updates throughout his stay. We would highly recommend Nancy to anyone needing care for a pet.”

“We had a great experience with Nicole taking care of our pug, Memo, for about a week. She was super nice and easy to work with from the start. From the meet and greet, we knew Memo was going to love her. She kept us updated every day on how Memo was doing, and we really like the photos and videos she sent. It really made it a lot easier being away from him. You could tell right away that Memo was comfortable and happy with her and her husband. They treated him like their own and made sure he got plenty of attention and walks. We’d definitely use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their dog.”

“Linda did a great job of taking care of Ace. He had a great time at her place and she kept me updated on how he was doing and sent pictures several times during the stay. Will definitely contact her again in the future.”

“Jennifer was absolutely wonderful with our dogs! When we picked our dogs up, they were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It's always reassuring to see your pets content and comfortable after being away from home, and that speaks volumes about the care and attention Jennifer provided. She treated them like her own, making sure they felt safe, loved, and cared for throughout their stay. Jennifer was also communicative, reliable, and easy to work with, which made the entire experience stress-free. We could tell our dogs received plenty of affection, attention, and companionship while they were with her. We are so grateful for the great care she provided and would not hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pets!”

“I’m so glad I left Apollo with Rebecca and her family while my husband and I were out of town. She took care of Apollo and made sure he was fed, active and happy. He wasn’t eating his own food and wanted the other pup’s food, and Rebecca was absolutely open on feeding Apollo her own pup’s food just so that he could eat. Apollo was getting spoiled the whole weekend. I can’t wait to use Rebecca and her family again to sit Apollo again. Thank you again for everything!”

“Our experience w/ Dan’s boarding was fantastic. We came from Chicago for family time where a 94pnd 3 year old German Shepard would not be having fun. Booking w/ Dan was easy, great communication and just a relief to meet him, tour the beautiful land they have. Instantly knew our girl would be just fine and she so was all dog smiles! Thank you Dan and we will see you again next trip or after….. Respectfully, Erica, Nancy, & Hendrix”

“As always, Sophia is so great with Rosie! For a dog that is so protective at home she loves going to Sophia’s and gets along with all the dogs. It’s a vacation for us!!!!”

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for years. I previously worked at a veterinary hospital, where I cared for pets in a kennel setting and assisted with appointments, giving me experience with animals of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and also currently furthering my vet med education. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply cuddling on the couch, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I am a stay at home (expecting) mom, and my schooling is also done at home. You can rest assured knowing that your fur baby will get constant attention and affection I have ample house space and yard space for your fur baby. I also make walks apart of my daily habit so you can rest assured knowing your baby will get all the exercise they could dream of
“Christa was pleasant and welcoming. She obviously loves cats. The only problem was our cat, Maurice, came home and wanted the attention that had been lavished on him! Spoiled! We'll definitely use Christa again. Thanks for such good care and affection.”

“Cameron did an amazing job with Zeke! I will absolutely be using him again. He was responsive, sent photos, kept me updated. I could not have asked for a better Rover. A plus is that Zeke was totally wiped after spending a few days at Cameron's place. Cameron has a huge backyard which Zeke took full advantage of! Thanks again, Cameron.”

Love that Dorian takes my dog out and works her. She is a medium drive and needs to get her energy out. Dorian realizes this and gets her energy out. She is always pleasantly exhausted when we pick her up. . This is why we continue to choose him to care for her because he does this.

Nini had a wonderful time at Emily’s while we enjoyed the fourth of July celebration. She shared pictures and kept us posted. It was Nini’s first time away from home but we were very sure that she’d have a safe and happy fourth at Emily’s place. She also made new friends and had a little pawrty herself! Thanks Emily you’re the best!

Cindy did an excellent job caring for Tobias. She is very knowledgeable about dog behaviors and she is so kind. She has a nice fenced-in yard that is great for dogs to run around and play. This is the first time we have ever left him with anyone overnight. Cindy sent updates, pictures and videos throughout his stay and was very responsive. Tobias came home happy. We'll definitely call on Cindy for future stays.

Nancy was very warm and friendly. We had a lovely meet and greet at the park, then scheduled an overnight visit for Lexie. She kept me informed with pics and video so I could see how well Lexie was adjusting to a new environment. Nancy was highly attentive to Lexie during her stay. Would definitely call upon Nancy again! 🙂

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
