“Priscila (and her mom) did an awesome job with our two pups! We got pictures and videos and updates on our week-long vacation and our boys looked very happy. You can really tell they are animal lovers. I would not hesitate to book with her again!”

“Jill is our go-to dog sitter. Every time we drop our pup off with Jill it is as if we are leaving them with a trusted family member. We never worry about our pup while gone because Jill is great at sending regular updates and notifying us if anything seems suspicious. I can’t say enough good things about Jill and the ginormous heart she has for animals. Thank you again, Jill!”

“Anna took such great care of our German shepherd, was communicative and understanding when we had an unexpected travel change. She was more than accommodating and went above and beyond to help given our travel issue. Anna’s house is great for any dog, her dogs are very sweet and her family is awesome. I cannot recommend enough and we will book with her again 1000%”

“Min and Matthew were exceptional sitters for my girl, Rani! Not only did they play with her endlessly (seriously, Rani has zero ability to self-regulate and they went with it!), they also cared for her as their own pup. When she was being finicky about eating, Min took the time to spoon feed her just like I do. Min also send so many pictures and videos, which helped me feel so at peace knowing Rani was well taken care of and loved. I will definitely be sending Rani back to Min and Matthew’s in the future…the 40 minute drive to/from our place is more than worth it!”

“Thank you Jaxon for taking great care of Mae And Falkor, our two senior goldendoodles. They were well loved and seemed very happy staying with him and his family. He sent regular photos and updates. Falkor assumed his regular spot, comfortably laying on his back mid sofa. Jaxon gave medication no problem. He has a large grass backyard.”

“We have never left our dog before, but Alex took such good care of him, he walked him, ate on his schedule, was in a nurturing and loving environment, now I feel good knowing I can leave him again in a safe place.”

“Iesha was awesome! She sent us daily updates and was flexible with the drop off and pickup times when we had our plans change. I was nervous about leaving our kitty for the first time but he had a great time and was comfortable pretty quickly with Iesha and her family. And our dog had such a great time too playing with her dog. Will definitely use Iesha again! Thanks for taking such great care of our babies 🩷”

“Ashoka and his amazing son watched our toy poodle for several days. I am so impressed at the love and attention they gave our dog . Several walks a day, cuddling, and sleeping together. I will always use them when away!”

“Kelly was amazing with Crash. She and her family had Crash for a full month... and he was clearly a happy Dog. When he is stressed he loses hair on his side, that did not happen!!! And his first night/day home, We think he was depressed b/c he missed Kelly and her Family.. She Truly kept us informed, sent pictures and was just such a peace in our hearts to have Crash so happy. We will use Kelly again!!”
“This was the first time we let our baby stay with someone we didn't know. Tara and her family were awesome. She sent pictures and updates several times a day. This really put us at ease that our baby was in good hands. I will definitely book with Tara again. Thank you Tara and family for taking such good care of Abby.”

“Cameron did an amazing job with Zeke! I will absolutely be using him again. He was responsive, sent photos, kept me updated. I could not have asked for a better Rover. A plus is that Zeke was totally wiped after spending a few days at Cameron's place. Cameron has a huge backyard which Zeke took full advantage of! Thanks again, Cameron.”

“Zlatka is a very responsible dogsitter. One of our 2 dogs is very temperamental and she showed an amazing amount of patience, giving us the peace of mind we needed to enjoy our vacation. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve always loved dogs and have lots of experience caring for them. I regularly dog sit for neighbors, family friends, and people I know, and I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I have experience caring for multiple dogs at once, longer stays, and administering medication when needed. I’m reliable, patient, and attentive, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs—whether that means going for walks, playing, giving them plenty of attention, or simply keeping them company. I’ll treat your dog like my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I work as a teacher’s assistant at a middle school during the school year. I’m available for pet care in the mornings before work and am home around 4 PM, giving me plenty of time for walks, playtime, feeding, and attention in the afternoons and evenings. My weekends are generally free and give me additional flexibility for longer visits and overnight stays. I’m happy to follow each pet’s usual routine and make sure they receive the care, exercise, and companionship they need. Whether I’m caring for your dog in my home or yours, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I have a clean, tidy, and quiet one-bedroom apartment that’s welcoming to dogs, with plenty of space for them to relax! I’ll take the time to get to know your dog, follow their normal routine, and give them lots of attention and care. My goal is for them to feel comfortable with me and enjoy their time while you’re away!
“Thank you Miranda for taking such great care of my corgi. The regular updates with photos were a great comfort knowing my 4 footed friend was safe and having a great time!”

Even sending adorable photos of our 2 dogs.😊 Jennifer is one of the sweetest people I've met and I'm excited to have such a great pet sitter in our pocket, we will be rebooking! Thank you Jennifer for being so accommodating and quick when we were in a bind ❤️”

“They watched our dog for 10 days and were so friendly and accommodating. Receiving daily pictures and updates gave us complete peace of mind. We will definitely use their services again!”

About: Hi! I'm Laurie, and I'd love to care for your pets. As a lifelong animal lover, I know that pets are family. Whether you're away for the day or taking a longer trip, my goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable in their own familiar environment, and if needed, in my home. I'm dependable, patient, and attentive to each pet's unique personality and routine. I believe every dog and cat deserves plenty of affection, exercise, playtime, and gentle care. I take the time to get to know your pet so they feel relaxed and happy while you're away. You can count on me to: Follow your pet's routine and feeding schedule carefully. Provide plenty of love, attention, walks, and playtime. Keep water bowls full, administer simple medications if needed, and clean up after your pet. Send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is doing well. Treat your home with the same respect and care that I would my own. I understand that trusting someone with your beloved pet is a big decision. My goal is to earn that trust through reliability, kindness, and open communication from our first meeting through every visit. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members. I'd be honored to provide the loving care they deserve while you're away! I'm fortunate to have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. I'm available for morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits, and I can often accommodate last-minute requests when my schedule permits. Caring for pets is something I truly enjoy, and I make it a priority to give each pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special instructions before providing care. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions (if needed), exercise routines, and any house rules you have for your pet. When caring for pets in your home, I strive to keep their routine as normal as possible, since familiar surroundings help them feel safe and relaxed. I'll make sure they have fresh water, a clean environment, plenty of affection, and the attention they need. I'll also treat your home with the utmost respect, keeping it secure and tidy while you're away. If your pet is staying in my home, they'll be welcomed into a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment where they'll receive plenty of individual attention, supervision, and love. I'm currently in the process of building a secure fenced yard so dogs will soon have a safe, enclosed space to run, play, and explore under my supervision. Until the fence is complete, all outdoor time will be closely supervised and dogs will remain safely leashed. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for as if they were part of my own family. I also keep pet owners informed with regular updates and photos, so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and in good hands.
About: Greetings! I am an experienced dog owner and pet sitter, and recently just lost my wonderful lab of 14.5 years. I'm experienced with puppies, adults, seniors, and everything in between, including any dog size petite to massive! I can administer medicine as well. We have a home about 4 blocks from Baker Park in a quiet neighborhood that is good for walks, and we have a fully fenced in backyard as well. I work from home M-F 8am to 5pm, and am generally home at all times. Occasionally I may step out for dinner with my wife or friends. I work from home Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and am generally home at all times. My schedule is fairly flexible during working hours, so I can take our furry friend out for many breaks and walks. I have a fenced in back yard in a quiet neighborhood that's good for walking as well, with parks close by. We love dogs, small to large, and would be happy to host yours.

May and Ally were excellent sitters for our two dogs while we went away on vacation. They are warm and welcoming everytime we interacted and my dogs were accepted into their family with open arms. We received multiple photos per day of their activities and were notified if anything came up. Thank you Nat and Ally for taking such wonderful care of my dogs we will definitely use you again when we're need to board our dogs.

Christina, her son Zachary, and their dog coco were amazing! Diggs came to her house with an upset stomach to start the trip and Christina was kind enough to even offer to take Diggs to his vet while we were gone if his stomach issues continued. She had a great introductory method for the dogs, she even took Diggs on walks when he isn’t the easiest dog around to walk as he is very reactive (he’s very nice but pulls and is mouthy). Diggs came back tired which is always a good sign for us that he had a great time! Would highly recommend trusting your dog with Christina and her family.

My pug, Django, loves staying with Linda. He was so excited to see her when we showed up to her place! This is his second stay with her. She’s always kind and friendly and I trust her with our furry little guy. Linda sends lots of photos and updates throughout the stay. Linda is definitely our go to Rover <3

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
