With one of us working from home and the other a teacher, our home runs in a relaxed and organized way. Dogs get regular walks, outdoor time, play, and plenty of interaction throughout the day. About: Hi! I’m Genevieve! I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals and have been pet sitting and dog walking for about 13 years. Larger dogs are definitely my specialty, but I grew up with small dogs as well and am comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I have extensive experience with rescue dogs, high energy breeds, and dogs with behavioral or special needs. I adopted my own pit bull from a euthanasia list and have spent years working through reactivity and behavioral challenges with her, which has given me a strong understanding of canine body language, patience, and maintaining consistent training routines. I’ve also worked with groups of dogs in shelter and pack environments, including living and working at a remote animal shelter in Greece. I’ve had five cats of my own throughout my life, so I’m comfortable caring for cats as well. I also grew up around farm animals and have experience caring for horses, donkeys, chickens, and other animals. I believe good pet care goes beyond the basics. I’m happy to dedicate whatever time is needed to make sure your pets are well cared for, mentally stimulated, enriched, exercised, and, of course, very loved. Whether they want to play, explore, practice their training, or simply have some company, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at! Pet care is currently my primary focus, so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate everything from daily walks to occasional overnight stays. Because I'm actively searching for my next full time position, I have plenty of availability to give pets the time, attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. My goal is to keep your pet's routine as normal and stress free as possible while you're away. I'll follow your care instructions closely, pay attention to your pet's body language and individual needs, and provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection. I treat every home with respect and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. My camera roll is already full of pictures of my own dog, as well as my friends' and family's pets, so you can expect no shortage of photo updates while your pet is in my care!

About: I understand that leaving your pet alone can be extremely stressful, but there’s no need to worry! I absolutely love animals and I have the patience to work with any - big or small! I promise to provide the same level of care to your pet as I would my own. I am a high school teacher, so I am currently available only on weekends. However, for the holidays and during summer break I typically stay local so if you are going to be traveling please take me into consideration! I am very comfortable working with dogs in their homes. If they need to be walked, I can easily handle putting on a leash and picking up after them. I am also comfortable handling any toys, food, or medicine your pet may need.

About: In highschool I earned a certificate course completer in pre-vet, and competed in the statewide Future Farmers of America (FFA) competition. While there I learned how to properly administer oral, otic, ophthalmic, and injected medications. I truly love and care for every animal I meet! I always try to make them as comfortable as possible by recognizing their body language and tending to their needs. I've owned two cats for over 13 years and have owned several other kinds of pets like fish, freshwater snails, and leopard geckos too! I will be going into college late august, so I have all the time in the world to take care of any animal during this summer! While in a client's home I will try to clean up any mess a pet will leave behind and try to make the animal feel as safe as they possibly can. As a cat owner I have enough patience to move mountains when pets act out and will remove them from any situation they feel stressed or fearful in.

About: Hey there! I am a graduate student studying education, and I’m currently working for the local school system and in the process to become a full time teacher. I grew up with and around all types of animals my entire life. I am in tune to learning their personalities and what they each need and like to make them the happiest they can be! I no longer have pets (due to old age), but for many years I had two bengal cats who needed lots of attention and activity. Chloe is the kitty in the car photo with me. :) I am experienced around elderly cats and dogs, and frequently have delivered mediation to both dogs and cats of all ages. I am very active and outdoorsy, so active pets who need a lot of exercise are no problem. I also have experience around other animal breeds. I lived with family who owned large and small birds, horses, and chickens. And I grew up owning various reptiles. My schedule follows Frederick County Public School’s schedule. I work from 7am - 2:30pm weekdays. And I am off from work (other than teacher work days) on the same schedule students are off. I will take careful attention to the specific needs of your pet and their preferences and routine. This will vary depending on the pet and the owners preferences! My animals at home have a set schedule for feeding and daily walks and play! They sleep with me and do homework with me from school.
