I have the utmost care and respect for animals, they need love attention and affection like any creature. I nurture and speak to them and will give the best treats ( i have a chewy account)
“Thank you Samanthat for taking good care of my Ronnie. He adores you and l’m sure he will never forget you, you are a real professional wvery step of the way. I wish you all the best Maria Elena Keningale.”

“Leslie is wonderful! I feel so much better knowing that our newly adopted dog has a break from the crate while we are at work. I love seeing the photos and detailed updates after her visits.”

“Samantha! We couldn’t be happier with the care our dogs Harry Stanley and De Niro received! Our dog care taker went absolutely above and beyond to make sure our pups were happy and well taken care of while we were away for our wedding. Samantha was incredibly punctual, reliable, and genuinely attentive to our boys’ needs. Knowing they were in such capable and loving hands gave us complete peace of mind on our special day and throughout our time away. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — she truly made all the difference. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dedicated dog care taker!”

“Hands down the best pictures of our pets lol. Really attentive and caring, Kacy looked after our dog and cat as well as we could have hoped for. 10 out of 10!”

“Jess was wonderful with my little Aussie — she was patient when taking her for a walk and made sure she could romp around our yard, but also made sure her paws were clean when she came in. She also made sure to check in on our other animals to make sure everyone had what they needed. Looking forward to continuing to work with Jess.”

“Shelby was fantastic. It was a pleasure to meet her briefly ahead of the planned visits. She took time to connect with the pups so she wouldn’t be “stranger danger” to them, asked about likes and quirks, and from the pics, they had a blast with her. Super communicative and we had a great, worry-free time knowing they were in her care. Thanks, Shelby! We’ll be booking again!”

“Once again an awesome experience with Misty and Fiona. They sent notes and pictures from every visit and we could clearly see that our girls were comfortable and well taken care of. This is the second of many more bookings in the future. Highly recommend- 5 stars”

About: I have had several pets through my life and all have had different personalities. Adapting to them to make them comfortable is important. I also have helped family take care of their new puppies. I’m very comfortable and understanding when dealing with puppies. Currently I can do any time! I don’t mind having an early morning or late night drop in. I am very flexible and want to make this easy for YOU! Just communicate what you need and it’ll be great. I want the animal to be as comfy as possible. Sometimes their human leaving can be stressful! I want to meet them where it’s needed. Not have their routines thrown off.
“Super duper dogwatch trooper! Provided regular updates and timely pics. Great attention to detail, remembering little quirks I told her about our dog. I’d say even nicer things, but I’d rather keep her a secret ;)”

“Steph is AWESOME! She is reliable and trustworthy and SO GREAT with our dog. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pet with love and kindness and do what is best for them, stop looking and book her now. Communication is top-notch, and she also provided us with photos of our dog while in her care. We plan to go to Steph for all our future drop-in visits. Highly recommend for drop-in visits or dog sitting in her home or yours!”

“Connie is reliable and Missy loves her!! It's nice to know she can take care of our sweet girl especially because she is blind. She remembers what needs to be done for our particular routine and we love working with her!”

About: Worked at Warrior Canine Connection as Canine Care staff, taking care of service dogs in training and new puppies! Kennel cleaning, walking, feeding, and some training and basic medical care. I am currently free all day! I can walk and do drop ins whenever you need as long as it is after 7 am and before 11pm. I give animals the time they need to warm up, and have an overall understanding of different body language. I am an aspiring veterinarian and believe that good animal care including exercise and nutrition (as well as some good cuddles) are key to a healthy pet.
“Excellent pet care!!!!!!! Aubrey was a blessing. It was our first time away from two of our cats. We weren't certain how they would respond, especiallyPercy who has attachment issues to his "dad" and whines when he leaves the house. They were happy and well cared for by Aubrey. A relief for both us and our fur family. I highly recommend Aubrey to care for your furry friends!”

“Lauren did an amazing job taking care of my two cat. In the pictures she sent the cats were happy and well taken care of. Thank you Lauren. She is a fantastic sitter.”

“This was my first experience using a dog walker via Rover and I’m so thankful that I ran across Dominique’s profile. She was amazing! She calmed my anxiety with leaving my dogs in someone else’s care, she was sweet and caring with my dogs and her communication was impeccable. I seriously cannot be more thankful to her!!! Please consider her for your pet care needs.”

“Rachel was great with our dog & cat. She was punctual, reliable, and our fur babies took to her so quickly. She sent me so many pictures of them cuddled up on her so if you believe that a dog is a good judge of character, then Rachel is the best. We will use her in the future & would recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

“Miriam took great care of our cats and we appreciated all the photos and updates. She was very responsive and easy to book with, even though we requested last minute due to our pet sitter cancelling before our 2+ week trip.”

Haley took wonderful care of our two kitties, Miami and Virginia, through drop-in visits. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly caring, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Thank you, Haley, for taking great care of them. We would absolutely recommend her and would be happy to work with her again.

Francesca was friendly and easy to communicate with, and ensured all our kitty's needs were met, including giving our fur baby lots of affection. Francesca followed our instructions, brought in packages that arrived, and sent detailed Rover cards with lots of good pictures and detailed updates. Our fur baby can be on edge after we get back from a trip, but she seemed normal and happy when we got back.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Araby View. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
