About: I’ve had the pleasure of raising a dog from 9 weeks old to his current 13 years. I’ve been there every step of the way, from puppyhood to adulthood and senior years. Plus, my dog tore his ACL, so I know firsthand the challenges of keeping your pet safe and out of harm’s way, along with the need for special care and instructions. I am currently a senior student athlete in college with a flexible schedule. I wanted to find a part-time job that I would actually enjoy, and I have always loved being near animals. Coming back home to my dog is always the highlight of my trip, so being near dogs and getting to see the joy on their faces has always made me smile. I think pets are happiest when they’re in their own space, so I’d rather work at someone else’s home. Plus, getting to know the dog and the pet owners will really help everyone feel more comfortable.

About: Have watched family and friends’ dogs in my home for years. Currently have 2 family dogs of different sizes and ages. Range of experience. Lots of walking, playtime and snuggles. I’m home during the day and can adjust my daily schedule to the needs of the dog. My kids are in school during the day so it’s quiet during the day. I have a fenced in yard with room for dogs to play and take care of business. I have 2 dogs at home so your dog will never be alone. My kids and younger dog loves to play. Now I am a mature, reliable professional who loves pets as much as ever, but unfortunately my living situation is not ideal to have my own right now. About: When your dog comes to our home, we treat them like our own. Having grown up with dogs my entire life, I know how important it is to find the absolute best care for them while you are away. Having pet sit for family and friends dogs and also fostered several dogs, we have experience with all types of dogs from puppies to senior dogs and various breeds. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
