“Super duper dogwatch trooper! Provided regular updates and timely pics. Great attention to detail, remembering little quirks I told her about our dog. I’d say even nicer things, but I’d rather keep her a secret ;)”

“I can’t say enough great things about Valerie and the care she takes with our little one. This last time she was very flexible and was able to add an additional visit because our need changed. I highly recommend Valerie.”

“Jennifer was great with Barley and Wrigley! She was flexible with my schedule changes. She provided detailed notes about her visits. Both dogs were smiling in the photos she sent and looked excited to see her. I will definitely use Jennifer again!”

“Sara stepped in for 2 weeks while my regular sitter was unavailable and Kallie has loved spending time with her. They've been on walks every day, during her mid-day check in. Having this service with someone I feel comfortable with and trust is SO helpful. It also brings peace of mind that my pup gets some love while I'm at work. Grateful for Sara - would recommend and will use again!”

“Samantha was an excellent choice for us as a dog walker. She was kind, punctual and reliable. We felt very comfortable leaving Maisey under her care. I highly recommend Samantha.”

“Asia was amazing! She was incredibly communicative, kind, and attentive. She went above and beyond to make sure my pup was well taken care of, and I really appreciated the updates throughout their time together. I would absolutely book with her again!”

About: Hello! I am a 19-year-old girl looking to take care of your animals. Here is a bit of information about me: My personality is active communication, open-minded, and flexible. I like working with animals since my childhood with pet animals. I've taken care of fish, turtles, cats, and mainly dogs. In my spare time, I do online University with General Studies for the moment on Fridays and Saturdays. However, animal care is something I want to pursue with passion and love. I recently moved in the area, so I'm excited to work and spend time with family. I want to know specifics. If you answer any of my questions, I would appreciate it soo much. No intention to mess up, especially being new to everything. The goal is being helpful as possible for you and to do the very best that I can. I am in the Spring Ridge area. I can provide good feeding, walks, cleaning up dirt or messes, and proper potty time. Thank you for considering me! I am open minded to all animals except cats, I am sadly, allergic to the fur. I recently adopted a dog in my family and she is prioritized before any messes in the house. I want to express that full heartedly with your animals too. I can take them on a walk. I am mainly looking at dogs so I’m referring to them when I say taking on a walk or going potty. I can feed and give proper medication proportions. I can provide overnight care if you are on vacation or need someone present with your animals. If you need someone over during the day, then I can be the girl for you!
“Isabel was amazing!! She took such good care of our rescue pup and spent time to make sure Ginger was not too worked up. She sends updates when she checked in and eased so many nerves!”

“Devon came to our apartment last minute to help with the animals when I had to take my daughter to a doctors appointment. He is such a lifesaver and always tries to accommodate my schedule and helping us out!”

About: I’ve owned dachshunds, mutts, and heelers ever since I was in middle school. With puppy school training and all of that, I have learned to respect and work well with furry dog babies. Looking forward to safely walking your dog all over beautiful downtown Frederick. My day job downtown is very flexible and I set my own schedule. I have many substantial breaks throughout the day on week days..morning and afternoon. I can be flexible and set up specific regular times to walk your dog or make a house visit. Dogs need quality care and attention. They need exercise and to breathe fresh air, just like we humans do. Your dog and I will be able to get out and enjoy the day together outside and/or spend time together inside and receive their daily treats and meals. Lots of love and ear scratches will be had.

About: Howdy! I'm Nicole, a certified professional dog trainer and lifelong dog enthusiast. My world has always been filled with canines and a love for understanding behavior. This fueled my passion for learning about dog training, and obtaining a degree in Psychology. With 10+ years of professional experience, you can rest assured that when your pup is with me — it’s receiving the best care available. I have thousands of hours under my belt from volunteering at shelters with dogs since the 6th grade, graduating from a Canine Behavior Apprentice Program, earning my CPDT-KA, and specializing as a Master in Aggression. This has allowed me to become highly skilled with handling a variety of breeds and behaviors; from leash-reactive walkers to cuddly couch potatoes. I’m a fan of them all ♥️ I'm not just a trainer; I'm also a dedicated caregiver. I’m trained in Red Cross Pet First Aid, and my own dog has glaucoma. I've cared for deaf dogs, and dogs recovering after leg injuries. This taught me the ins and outs of special care. So administering meds or eye drops? No problem! Your furry family member's time with me means fun, safety, and lots of learning. Whether it's reinforcing good habits or just enjoying playtime, I've got it covered. Let's make your dog's next walk - or drop-in visit, a tail-wagging adventure! I’ll be walking dogs in between my hours as the assistant manager of America’s VetDogs Service Dog Prison Puppy Program. I love walking and am happy to help others get their dogs out and exercised. Safety is a top priority for me. I always make sure that I am present, and focused on the current moment, to ensure that a dog is safe in my hands. As well as double checking gear to make sure everything is secure before use. Due to my experience with aggressive dogs, I understand the importance of situational awareness with any pet — and keep an eye to make sure the environment we’re walking in is safe as well.
“Anhelika is incredible!! She made our vacation so much smoother knowing our kitty was safe & taken care of. I would recommend her to anyone & everyone. Thank you so much Anhelika! Will absolutely be rebooking.”

“Marne is the best! She visits my Harper on drop-in visits and gives me peace of mind in knowing he is well taken care of. Harper loves Marne which makes me happy. I highly recommend Marne to take great care of your furry family members!”

“So many great things to say about Lauren but I’ll keep this short. Rover can be a bit daunting for a first time customer. We hit the jackpot with Lauren! She was just amazing with our two pups - one of which requires daily medication.”

“John-Michael was great! We were a last minute booking and he communicated with me right away. He spent time with our old tabby cat and took great care of her! Will definitely book again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Spring Ridge
Misty once again exceeded our expectations. 💕Unfortunately the week before we had to leave for an out of town wedding, Ellie had come down with double ear infections that required her to get ear drops twice a day. Misty assured us that she would have it under control and we trusted her based on all of experience with her. She kept us up to date on how both girls were doing while we were away. And Ellie looks and is acting like her self before her ear infections. We highly recommend Misty to everyone we know. She is the best in the business!😺🏆

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
