“Priscila and her Mom Maria are wonderful. They took care of my Pet Max as their own and he had lots of fun staying with them for 2 weeks when we were traveling abroad. Thanks again Priscila and Maria.”

“Stephanie has watched my dog Tucker now multiple times and takes wonderful care of him! Tucker is always so happy when we pick him up and always looks forward to going to stay with her. Highly recommend!!”

“Adrienne went above and beyond for us during an extended trip, even picking up our custom dog food order when we forgot to leave enough for the pups during their stay. Highly recommend!”

“Nat & Ally were amazing. We felt so comfortable leaving our baby June (an 80lb bernadoodle) with them. They sent pictures everyday that made us so happy to see how much love they were showing her. We will definately be repeat customers. Thank you so much Nat & Ally”

“I couldn't be happier with the level of care Linda and her family provided to my senior yellow lab! She provided regular updates while I was away and knew exactly how to best care for a senior lab. Don't hesitate to ask Linda to take care of your pup! You'll be happy you did!”

“Jennifer and Juan took wonderful care of Bella. They sent daily pictures and responded to all questions quickly. Bella even lost weight, which is a good thing because she could lose a few pounds. Would highly recommend!”

“Rachel and Jason were wonderful and accommodating hosts for our Aussie. I appreciate that they took the time for a meet-and-greet up front to make sure our dog would get along with theirs, and they were patient with her when she arrived very excited and barky. Also got to see another dog that they were hosting, and Rachel was super sweet with him. I'd go as far to say she's a dog whisperer! We received regular updates and photos to put our minds at ease. Would definitely leave our pup with them again.”

“Kacy and Justin took excellent care of our anxious senior dog and kept us throughly updated with pictures. Will definitely keep them as one of our go to options for boarding.”

“John was great! He continually sent us pictures and videos of Molly, and let us know how she was doing. We will definitely be asking for him to watch our Molly again :)”

“Dorian did a great job taking care of my fur baby. My dog is an older dachshund who is still energetic so I worry about him with sitters, but Dorian put my mind at ease by communicating with me well. From what I was told Obi had a great time playing with kids and taking lots of breaks that may or may not have included some mud baths lol. Thank you Dorian.”

“Terri was the epitome of perfect. She was just what my pet Blossom needed. Attention, affection, love, she filled all of those things, and then some. She took many pictures kept us up-to-date, and eased my anxiety!!! I would use her again and again and again, top-notch for sure!!!”

“We can’t say enough amazing things about Renee, she was truly our angel during a very stressful moment while we were on vacation in Florida. The place where our dog was staying unexpectedly call us and rudely demanded that we pick up our dog immediately. Being out there of state with no one nearby to help, we were completely panicked and heartbroken. My husband remember about Rover and he find Renee, she responded very quickly asking the situation and accept our booking. Without hesitation, she stepped in and went out of her way to pick up our dog for us. She was incredibly sweet, caring, and compassionate, exactly what we needed in that moment. She treated our puppy with so much love and care, like he was her own, and kept us updated and send us pictures of him smiling and acting like he is at home. We are beyond grateful for her kindness and will never forget what she did for us. Thank you, dear Renee, you are truly one of a kind!❤️🐾”

“Chris & Gerry are simply THE BEST! I couldn’t say enough great things about them. So many beautiful updates every day while on vacation with heartwarming messages and adorable pics of our little Lexi. I was completely relaxed my entire vacation knowing Lexi was in such great hands! Can’t thank you enough!”

“FANTASTIC Family!! Maverick had a great time and was well cared for. Communication was outstanding. They were super with his medication, and patient with my nervous texts about him staying anywhere overnight. Maverick & I look forward to when he can see them again!”

“Samantha is a good care taker. She knows how to care for my senior dog. Her house was great with Winston’s company and has a nice backyard full of good smells. She’s a great communicator and send updates frequently.”

“Ellen was amazing! She sent me daily updates with pictures and videos, which I really appreciated. Pearl was clearly happy and comfortable; she absolutely loved being on the farm, seeing the other animals, and making new friends. I’ll definitely be booking with Ellen again!”

“Michelle was AMAZING with my little girl! I felt completely at ease being away because she truly put her heart and soul into the visit. Will definitely be bringing my girl back for another stay as she had SO much fun and received SO much love!”

“Matt was super easy to work with and took good care of our Aussie, who was hesitant to leave him when we went to pick her up! It’s so nice to find a dog sitter who works from home like we do. Highly recommend Matt.”

“My Golden had a wonderful 2 week stay with Karen. She sent videos and pictures everyday. Her whole family is so sweet and she has a beautiful property! Will definitely use her in the future.”

About: I have recently relocated to Frederick, Maryland from California after recently retiring & wanting to be closer to family <3 I have over 12 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and rabbits, including senior and special-needs pets and animals requiring medications. I currently have a French Bulldog, four cats, and a rabbit of my own, so caring for multiple animals with different personalities, routines, and needs is part of my everyday life. I’m comfortable administering medications, following detailed feeding and care instructions, providing walks and enrichment, and recognizing changes in an animal’s behavior or health. I’ve also volunteered with animal shelters in both California and North Carolina. I worked as a first responder for almost 14 years, I’m dependable, trustworthy, safety-conscious, and take the responsibility of caring for someone’s pets very seriously. I’m retired with a completely flexible schedule, so pet care can easily be accommodated throughout my day. I’m available mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays for boarding, doggy daycare, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I provide a safe, comfortable environment tailored to each pet’s individual needs and routine. I have a fenced backyard for supervised outdoor time and plenty of indoor space, including separate areas when a visiting pet needs their own quiet space away from my animals. I’m experienced with medications, senior and special-needs pets, and will closely follow all feeding, exercise, medication, and care instructions. I will treat your animals as if they were my own while I am trusted with their care. As a retired first responder, safety, responsibility, trust, and attention to detail are extremely important to me. 🐶😺🐰🏡🐾
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Spring Ridge
After a few disappointing experiences on Rover, I was understandably nervous about finding care for my two larger dogs during a three-week (20-day) trip. Her profile looked promising, but I was completely unprepared for just how exceptional the level of care would be. From the moment I met her and her husband, I felt an immediate sense of peace and trust. She was very attentive. My dogs took to them and their home right away. She gave them all the love and attention they receive at home—and possibly even more. She even let my pup snuggle in bed with her. It was clear that she loved and cared for them as if they were family. Throughout my trip, I received frequent pictures and videos of my dogs enjoying what was clearly a vacation of their own, complete with plenty of cuddles and belly rubs. I received updates frequently and any questions I had were answered quickly and thoroughly. When I picked them up, they were calm, happy, and completely content. As a busy professional who hopes to travel more, I cannot adequately express what it means to have found someone I trust—literally without a second thought—to care for my fur babies. A truly 100/10 experience. I could not recommend her more highly.

We found Soumen at the last minute when we needed someone to care for Lilo over the weekend. He took excellent care of her and kept us updated regularly with photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. Lilo looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for throughout her stay. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely book with Soumen again. Highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Spring Ridge home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Spring Ridge.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Spring Ridge sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
