“We had a great experience! She stopped by twice to let our dogs out while we were away and was reliable, communicative, and very caring with them. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Kacy and Justin are such awesome people!! They took care of our dog and two cats while we went on vacation. Our dog has super bad anxiety issues and is a little rough around the edges, but they were so incredibly patient with her!! They also kept us updated with pictures and videos every time they came over. If you are looking to find somebody to take care of your animals, I highly recommend them!”

“Sophia is an excellent pet sitter. Kept us informed about our kitties the whole time. We were able to enjoy our three week vacation due to her diligent care. They were healthy, happy, and overjoyed to see us on return. Thank you for helping us Sophia.”

“Once again, Sarah has provided peace of mind while we were a few time zones away from home. Sarah is prompt, professional, detailed, caring, and most importantly—a lover of all furry children. Thank you, again, for providing wonderful care. We appreciate you.”

“Kim was awesome. She came through on short notice and helped put my mind at ease taking care of my buddy. Will definitely try and rebook and also pass along the great service.”

“Rose is wonderful. She was so kind and patient with our animals. Extremely caring and willing to watch them during a holiday week. We are so grateful for her and would highly recommend!”

“Leslie did a wonderful job checking in on our Golden! I appreciate her thoroughness in setting up a meet and greet beforehand, and she had great communication about her visit. We look forward to booking with her again in the future!”

“Super duper dogwatch trooper! Provided regular updates and timely pics. Great attention to detail, remembering little quirks I told her about our dog. I’d say even nicer things, but I’d rather keep her a secret ;)”

“I was hesitant to try something like Rover because my dog can be stubborn but Kristy was amazing and worked some magic on my stubborn girl! Will definitely request her again!”

“Delores, is the best sitter I have ever had for my fur babies and maybe even my non fur babies! She is thoughtful, smart and communicates well! We are very pleased!”

“Chrissy is very caring and thoughtful and absolutely an animal lover! She always stays in touch and updates about my cats. Definitely a trustworthy and dependable sitter!”

“Shelby was fantastic. It was a pleasure to meet her briefly ahead of the planned visits. She took time to connect with the pups so she wouldn’t be “stranger danger” to them, asked about likes and quirks, and from the pics, they had a blast with her. Super communicative and we had a great, worry-free time knowing they were in her care. Thanks, Shelby! We’ll be booking again!”

“Erika went above and beyond with taking care of our two kitties while we were traveling, communicating with us every step of the way, sending us adorable photos, keeping the cat areas clean, and even offering to bring in our mail. You can tell our cats felt so comfortable with her, even our one cat who is usually very skittish and always hides away from strangers. I would highly recommend booking Erika to care for your furry loved ones, and we will definitely book her again if we need a sitter in the future!”

“Miriam took great care of our cats and we appreciated all the photos and updates. She was very responsive and easy to book with, even though we requested last minute due to our pet sitter cancelling before our 2+ week trip.”

“Lauren took amazing care of my two cats! She’s very attentive to detail and thorough with pets likes/dislikes and routines. She’s very communicative throughout and sent lots of updates and pictures while I was away”

“Jenny was absolutely amazing! This was my first time using Rover and leaving my fur baby with someone other than boarding at our vet and I couldn't have picked a better person. She kept me well informed of how my baby was doing and was genuinely concerned about his well-being. He enjoyed spending time with her as well. Thanks to Jenny my Rover experience was outstanding. It was a very smooth process. Jenny went above and beyond and I can't thank her enough!”

“We hired Katie again to take care of our pets while we were out of town for Christmas and she was great with our pets again! She always sends us plenty of pictures which is always reassuring. Highly recommend hiring her!”

“Claire is awesome! I’m currently recovering from a knee injury so she has been very helpful with ensuring my dog Rocco gets his daily exercise. She’s very friendly and professional and does a great job sharing updates with pictures. Highly recommend!”

Justin is awesome. He cares for my kitty any time I’m away - very attentive to her needs well beyond what I outline for her care. For example, noticing that despite having a water fountain she likes still her water bowl, so he refilled that even though I’d said not to worry about it. He asked follow up questions to make sure Maggie was well cared for, and got great pictures of her, which showed he was clearly laying on the floor to hang out with her because she’s not much of a lap kitty and doesn’t tend to jump up on chairs or anything to make it easier to pet her. In addition, he kindly brought in a package that was delivered during our absence. Also, I have a severe food allergy that he is careful to accommodate while caring for Maggie the cat. Finally, it’s a huge plus and great to know that if needed, Kacy can step in if Justin isn’t available for some reason. Love the team of Kacy and Justin!! Recommend.

When looking for a sitter, Erikas profile stood out to me. I could tell from that she was extremely caring. I knew already knew she was going to be good, but I can happily say she exceeded my expectations. She went above and beyond with keeping the cats area tidy and updating me with details and pictures. I highly recommend!!!

Shelby is amazing! We really appreciate her detailed notes from each visit. She's thorough, easy to talk to, communicative, and knowledgeable. Our babies loved her! You can tell she genuinely enjoys taking care of animals and getting to know their habits and personalities. We will continue booking her services for future cat-sitting needs for sure. Thanks, Shelby!!!

Kim saved our kitty (and us) in a pinch when the cat needed some extra attention (wound care) just as we had a flight coming up! Our kitty obviously adored her. She also went out of her way to spoil our girl with treats and play and brushing and snuggling. Above that, she also kept an eye on our house for us —even stopped an ant invasion!

Sophia was good for my cat. She is only a year and 4 months old and very timid and shy. She did not come out of hiding for a few days but gradually showed her face just a little bit. Eventually she let her pet her and brush her and play with her. I was so relieved. It took a lot of patience.

Delores was absolutely incredible! She took great care to gain the trust of my typically timid kitten, Dixie, and was even able to (repeatedly) help get her collar back on when Dixie had accidentally pulled it off. Delores was consistently easy to contact, exceptionally patient with the cats, and overall a wonderful pet sitter. She made leaving my pets home alone for the first time completely stress free, and I will definitely be asking her to watch Maisie and Dixie again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
