About: I have taken care of all types of animals all my life. Exotic pets, as well as cats and dogs. I have a kitty baby of my own who I fostdopted In 2018 I have a 9-5 but It’s flexible as i work from home. I can do multiple short visits as needed, I know my baby gets anxious when no one is home. I have the utmost care and respect for animals, they need love attention and affection like any creature. I nurture and speak to them and will give the best treats ( i have a chewy account)
“Absolutely the all time best people you could ever find to take care of your fur babies!! They communicate every detail of their drop-in visits and go above and beyond in every way. Thank you again for everything! 😊”

“Once again, Chrissy did a fabulous job in taking care of my cats when I went on a quick vacation. She sent multiple photos each time she visited and let me know how each of them were doing. She did not need any prompting as she send photos and updates before I could even ask for them. She is my one and only sitter that I absolutely trust 110%! Thank you, Chrissy! The cats miss you already!”

“Leslie is wonderful! I feel so much better knowing that our newly adopted dog has a break from the crate while we are at work. I love seeing the photos and detailed updates after her visits.”

“Jess was wonderful with my little Aussie — she was patient when taking her for a walk and made sure she could romp around our yard, but also made sure her paws were clean when she came in. She also made sure to check in on our other animals to make sure everyone had what they needed. Looking forward to continuing to work with Jess.”

“Super duper dogwatch trooper! Provided regular updates and timely pics. Great attention to detail, remembering little quirks I told her about our dog. I’d say even nicer things, but I’d rather keep her a secret ;)”

“Shelby was fantastic. It was a pleasure to meet her briefly ahead of the planned visits. She took time to connect with the pups so she wouldn’t be “stranger danger” to them, asked about likes and quirks, and from the pics, they had a blast with her. Super communicative and we had a great, worry-free time knowing they were in her care. Thanks, Shelby! We’ll be booking again!”

“I was hesitant to try something like Rover because my dog can be stubborn but Kristy was amazing and worked some magic on my stubborn girl! Will definitely request her again!”

“We had a great experience! She stopped by twice to let our dogs out while we were away and was reliable, communicative, and very caring with them. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Rose was a pleasure to work with. She was fast to respond to my initial inquiry and a pleasure to work with. It was nice to know my fur baby was being taken care of by such a special person. Thanks again!”

“KRISTEN WAS WONDERFUL! Kristen took excellent care of our cats while we were away. Kristen’s professionalism was evident from the start when we had a phone call to discuss what we was needed for the cats. Kristen was attentive to detail and made sure she knew the instructions up and down so that she could take great care of our ladies! Kristen sent detailed rover card updates, spent time playing, and even got our shy cat to warm up a little. When we returned, everything was neat and tidy and it was clear the cats were doing great. I sincerely hope we can hire Kristen again in the future!!!”

“Devon was great with my kitten with very prompt check-ins. He also provided pictures and plenty of details for each visit. My kitten appeared to enjoy spending time with Devon and he appeared to enjoy interacting with her. Would highly recommend.”

“Jenny was amazing! She took the best care of my older dog and I knew he was in good hands with her. She went above and beyond and always shared pictures and communicated with me. I highly recommend Jenny!”

“Dominique is the best!!!!!!! We literally booked her last minute before going out of the country. We love her and most important of all my both doggies love her!!!! She has been such a great help and we will always keep her in mind for the future!!!!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was 10 and grew up with cats and dogs, so a little chaos doesn’t scare me. I live in downtown Frederick and have two cats of my own, Whiskey and Sangria. I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities and make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I work from home part-time as a recruiter and also do personal training part-time, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time at home during the day to give pets lots of attention and care. I care for pets by following their usual routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions provided. I make sure pets are always in a safe, clean, and calm environment, whether in my home or a client’s home. I give plenty of attention, exercise, and affection, and I closely monitor behavior, appetite, and energy levels to ensure pets are happy and comfortable. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel at ease while they’re away.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Frederick
Sophia was good for my cat. She is only a year and 4 months old and very timid and shy. She did not come out of hiding for a few days but gradually showed her face just a little bit. Eventually she let her pet her and brush her and play with her. I was so relieved. It took a lot of patience.

Shelby was absolutely amazing. She always kept me completely up to date on what was going on with my pet and spent so much time with her and sent loads of pictures. She took so much care of my little girl. I would recommend her to anyone looking for anyone needing someone to look after their babies. I will definitely hire her again.

Delores was absolutely incredible! She took great care to gain the trust of my typically timid kitten, Dixie, and was even able to (repeatedly) help get her collar back on when Dixie had accidentally pulled it off. Delores was consistently easy to contact, exceptionally patient with the cats, and overall a wonderful pet sitter. She made leaving my pets home alone for the first time completely stress free, and I will definitely be asking her to watch Maisie and Dixie again in the future!

It was wonderful having Kristy watch over our outdoor cats. She came every day we arranged with her, and we did not have to worry one bit whether our cats were being cared for during our absence. We weren’t sure if any of the cats would get close enough for her to get a picture, but our little Mandy cat stayed put for great pictures. Even Sheeva showed up and allowed her picture to be taken. We are thankful for Kristy’s attention.

Katie took great care of our girl! This was our first time using a pet sitter, and Katie walked me through the process and provided much needed reassurance. She communicated with us throughout our trip, was flexible with the timing of visits, and sent (very cute) pictures of our girl. She went above and beyond vacuuming up spilled litter and snuggling with our girl every day. We will definitely be booking again!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
